  1. What is life? for Leo What is life but a bumbling passage a waft of an aroma that passes on the breeze stretched fingers reaching something almost within our grasp I have it, yes, I have it! I am happy complacency dims our vision time erodes our pleasures What is life but a speck of dust, wiped away with ease self-assured, self-controlled, self-possessed a finger on the trigger, a pounding heart a moment without a thought traces of places, faces of meaningful relationships concealed into an extraordinary time capsule of eternity What is life, spring, summer, autumn, winter enchanting and floating on a candy floss cloud delightful like a smile of happiness a little boy with his toy train. a puppy licking your face discovering simplicity, finally acknowledging something, anything evidence of spirit that only your heart can explain What is life, you now don't leave this life in doubt. 2. Sometimes I think we try too hard, almost force ourselves to stick to our rituals. I found, if I just let go not force myself to do anything. Allow yourself the time to JUST BE ...... it opens you up to feelings and thoughts that just flow up to the surface.
  3. I f you find yourself continuously looking, reading, writing, watching videos on this never ending journey and you do it without any force or persuasion (talking from my own experience). You will start to get glimpses of awareness. It is only a matter of time. They will be different from anything you have ever felt before. My source of reference for enlightenment is very diverse. I have not spent many hours in meditation. To be quite honest, very few hours. But I have spent hours and hours contemplating and watching my own mind. How I first got started. I was watching a movie, I don't remember the title, when in one of the scenes a group of people were walking on some strange planet to a destination. To be allowed to reach this place, there was one condition they had to follow. They were not allowed to have any thoughts enter their minds. If a thought popped up, something that looked like a baseball bat would jump out of the ground and hit them on the head! So I started practicing this method (of course only in my minds eye Every time I would try to clear my mind and a thought popped up, simultaneously I envisioned a bat coming up and bopping me on the head! I know this might sound crazy but it worked!! Even I was shocked! Over time it slowed my mind down and allowed me to concentrate on my immediate surroundings and be in the present longer and longer. I did this every morning driving to and from work. How I think this method worked was by enforcing an internal alarm clock that kicked in immediately upon a thought arising. I'm sure you can use other imaginative ways but I did want to share this with anyone who is having a hard time trying to stop the eternal monkey from chattering! Who knows maybe it will work for you too!
  4. I feel the crispness of the snow, under my feet my eyes reach the icy blue sky infused crimson and yellow tones, that strike the heavens and the mountains whisper in my ears I am limitless, I am complete come, come to my plateau and I can show you the spectacles of nature I am a crystal snowflakes, feel the pearls melt between your fingertips I am a snowdrift, I am powdered snow I am many things I struggle to reach the top and the wind pushes me with gusto it swirls and blows, teasing me I feel its bluster, the chill reaches my bones it’s wailing provoking laughter, I am chaos, I am a cyclone meet me at the top, if you dare! I strive to reach the shelter of the Evergreens their magnetic silhouette shape the skyline they are dressed in white crystal gowns dancing princesses in white snow I rest for a while, until I feel the branches pushing me gently skyward go they murmur, you need to reach the top the climb is steep and the clouds descend upon me swirling mist envelops me touching my face and breathing in my ear I am rain, I am a summer shower, I am a monsoon keep climbing you are almost there Suddenly the mist disappears and rays of sunlight open the door to the majestic view at my feet breathtaking, I fall to my knees in gratitude and hear my own voice reveal the reason I took this journey I am worthy, I am deserving, I am divine I am one with natures perfection.
