  1. Even colors are all made up in your mind like science says. Eventually everything is just a wave and you give those waves identities and begin to create a relativistic model of reality. Creating a big picture understanding, traveling, broadening your horizon is very powerful to understand what the larger spectrum is about
  2. Everything you experience is you! It's all a projection through your own current perspective. Feelings, sensations, thoughts can be interpreted in millions of ways, the way you do that now makes you unique, but any other reality is equally valid. After all everything is interpret by your senses and mind so your reality is shaped literally by your body and mind!
  3. If you want to study all of these and understand why each subject is in their "current state of being" you should study how cycles work. Waves, cycles, patterns are the underlying fundamentals that govern our everyday life, this extends to every concept you can think of. Concious meditation learns you that thoughts come and go in waves, when you learn to distance from those you begin to see how these arise and fit in a bigger picture. You will learn what makes those thoughts arise but also what your perspective is and how powerful it is. Psychology is exactly the same in regards how these thought waves behave in individuals, groups or even nations. If you begin to understand the wave, you will learn how to ride it. You will know what to provide in any economic situation, emotional situation, ect. History is just looking at emotions from the past and if you look closely you can predict how those major events affect the future in everyway possible. To fully grasp what I'm talking about you should start to look at every event from a cyclical point of perspective. What are the largest cycles we observe? How do they affect psychology? How does psychology affect population growth, economics, history and eventually politics? To get you started I want to show you this powerful simple picture of what the mind goes through emotionally in one cycle. When you begin to understand the major fundamental cycles of you thoughts and peoples behaviour you can start to take advantage of that, like the last graph shows. This is all very important to big picture understanding to know why things happen and when. EDIT: I think the post was not really appropiate, but can still help you
  4. One more thing I also would like to note is that listening to music almost requires no energy. Visual things, smell, taste and touch are much more invasive and demanding to be experienced. Music or sound is therefor closer to our groundstate of being since we find "more rest" in it. Notice how songs can dramatically affect your mood, while looking at a nice painting is cool but not as impactful.
  5. I think what is meant is unconcious behaviour. Like hitting your toe against something and then blaming that object for hurting you. If you were really aware then you wouldn't hurt yourself anyway or atleast minimize the possible damage in a situation. Haven't watched the video though.
  6. I have not met her yet so thats also kind of odd. She wants to travel this summer to me, which is literally on the otherside of the globe.. I don't know how I should deal with this lol.
  7. Hello guys, I found myself in a kind of tricky situation. Online I met a girl who has a lot of similar interests as me and can have good conversations. The thing is that she just broke up in a relationship and has some psychological problems. At that time she went through a prety hard time so I was trying to be really nice to her and help her going forward from the emotional state she was in. She told me she really like me which is nice but it feels like she trying to escape from her situation, where she lives, religion, parents. I don't want to give her false hope that I love her because she might interpret my intention of helping her incorrectly. There are too many things I have to work on myself and I don't feel the same as she does. What should I do? How do you tell this in way that is understandable and doesn't hurt someone too much. I don't know if she really can handle this. Should I feel guilty? At the moment it's taking alot of my energy but I really hope she gets better..
  8. From what I understand is that all is vibration and frequency. Being a musician can help you understand how to find resonance, or get in "tune". They know how many tones harmoniously fit together and that might be useful in some deeper sense.
  9. Best is probably to keep it for yourself and only try to explain what you seek and see to close relatives and family. Anyone who's willing to learn more about the subjects on this forum will eventually come here anyway.
  10. @Alicja_ Never feel guilty for pursuing your life goals like the things you do. The best way to learn if your actualization is making you better is by sharing, talking and socializing. Socializing is like looking into a mirror and you will find the things you can improve on. Maybe you can search friends who also like to talk about this, watch movies and have similar interests of self-actualization. Making it a shared process will directly make it a purpose that helps both you, people around you and you learn many new different perspectives.
  11. Join a fighting sport then? If you think that will make you feel any better that you have succesfully beaten someone else then go on. Try (kick) boxing?
  12. @r3v3s Interesting, I think I understand what you mean with these numbers and their repetition. In another post I mentioned a book called "A Beginner's Guide to Constructing the Universe: Mathematical Archetypes of Nature, Art, and Science". Something you should definitely check out if you want to expand your knowledge in this subject. Also have a look at "Vortex Mathematics" they speak alot about 3-6-9 and the relationship to all other numbers. There might be some deeper meaning behind what numbers really are and how they produce each other and what that means in nature, economics, chemistry, etc.
  13. @clytaemnestra I think with shy I mean that the final step of saying that you like her takes a little bit longer. Probably some flirting and indirect hinting might losen up the connection. Often I have the feeling that going to fast can end up forcing things which don't look as genuine as who someone really is.
  14. Okay so I stay open minded and believe that these calculations do really have some meaning. How do you come up with this numbers? Do you just keep dividing and multiplying until you get an obscure number? Like 333, 666, 777, 88, etc. and what do they represent? Does each number have real significance or does it reflect anything? We often seem to search for patterns or things that look odd but they don't have to be something with significance. What I do notice is that for example symbolism has deep impacts on the sub conciouss mind. Next time you are browsing social media, notice any videos thumbnails or pictures with a circle in it. Your mind automatically gets drawn into this and becomes interested or curious.
  15. You probably doing it already but try to make every move and pose completely concious. Feel your muscles stretch from your head till your toes. Feel your center of mass moving around your body like a form of energy that gets balanced. When you do this you automatically make it a meditative yoga session, you might try kundalini yoga. Yoga makes the awareness of your body grow and meditation focuses on the mind, they go hand in hand.
  16. When the ego dies along with the temporary body you become one again. Time doesn't exist there since it is only relative to a certain perspective so don't worry and don't project fears of the ego to a state you will not have one anymore. Everything is going to be okay and so it's meant to be. Reincarnation might happen when the conditions are right at a certain place and time, but you probably won't remember anything.
  17. The word "bitch" probably gets used differently but I see what you mean by that. A good balance will work the best I guess. Both passionate and freaky sex have their place in any relationship but it depends completely on the guy and in what stage you are. Just follow you feelings, try to find some indications of what he might like and things will definetly work out. Personally I'm quite shy so I look for similar aspects that resonate with me so a girl that is not extemely over the top social would my prefered choice. I think you will figure it out
  18. @jse Good exercise and eating healthy are profound in boosting mood and health. Supplement wise Vitamine D, Vitamine B complex, Omega 3-6-9 and L-Tryptophan are good but you have to make sure he is not taking anything that can interfer with any meds he is taking. SSRIs can be lethal in combination with 5HTP and cause bad results. Lately I have been doing Kundalini Yoga which helps me alot with my mood. Try it out and see if it works.
  19. You might have heared this a million times, just be yourself. Confidence is the most sexiest thing a man or women can have, it means that they truely stand for something and are willing to go for that. If you are certain of what you want in a relationship this will only clear things up and strenghten what you can provide for eachother. However I do think that acting more offensive also gives the impression you have things to lose and probably also some fears and are willing to protect those. In a relationship i think it is prefered to be a bit more relaxed since you want both sides to be in agreement most of the time, but standing for what you think is ofcourse no problem. Some men probably like women which are taking the lead and some like to be more leading in the relationship themselves. Important is that you listen to your feelings, your intuition is often your best indication.
  20. So in short, let him visit a professional medical doctor. I wish him all the best!
  21. Are there any (experienced) meditators that have tried meditation inside a floatation chamber and what are your experiences? I know meditation can be done anywhere anytime but this can probably take you with ease to much deeper levels.
  22. I don't think we should directly dismiss it. Some theories suggest that the egyption tombs inside the main chamber of the piramid were not actually to burry anybody but were places to meditate in. For example the middle of a gigantic pyramid of stone is probably the darkest and most silent place you can find and would be an ideal place to find the closest to the most deprived sensory experience. I know meditation is a tool to focus and that it can be done anywhere but being in something that comes close to true silence (magnetically, soundwise, light, air) you have ability to observe the slightest changes in your conciousness. These changes you could say are therefor the most basic or fundamental things you can experience in being between non-dual and duality. I have to try a floatation yet myself so I will leave a report when done. History often speaks of visonary cave man, finding the light in utter darkness from within. Still curious what potential this has to offer.
  23. Ego is like a fart your trying to hold in to look good. When you learn to let go it will get messy, but in the long run you will feel much lighter and confortable.
  24. @ashashlov You have to check out the VICE documentary on Sensory Deprivation Tanks!
  25. Don't go with those people in discussion, just show them what is valuable by direct experience. If a person is a close friend, take them with you on a journey, party or anything that you both enjoy.
