  1. Spiral Dynamics is a model, that has it’s own limitations. You cannot tell someone’s stage only on basis of political belief or job or whatever. You cannot even tell your own stage precisely. Feminist can be any stage from red to turquoise. Being hippie does not make you green automatically. Being critical of these people does not make you below them, but it can hint you what stage you are on, at least partially. If you critisize feminists because they are useless and should get a real job, chances are you are orange. If you think green activists are causing more harm than good because it’s impractical and there are better ways to achieve their goals, maybe you are yellow. Other thing is, don’t be afraid to critisize things, but do it open-mindedly and with a possibility of being wrong. Quickest way to get rid of stupid beliefs is to say them loudly, although you may get embarrassed or humbled.
  2. From what you have described, I would advice you to limit news and social media intake. It hinders your self actualization. Outside of news industry and twitter, if you look into real world - it’s getting better and it is kinda nice. Of course things would be better if everybody, especially those in position of power were in higher stages of development. Problem is: we have little to no power over them outside of voting, political activism, actual political career or street protest. If your primary pursuit is self development, I would argue you should focus on things you have control of. I limited my news intake to tech news and social media use to non existent (I even listen to Leo on iTunes), and, man, life looks like a different place, much more peaceful and nice.
  3. One answer might be that you need a lot of internal work to fight your insecurities. Another answer is: eat more meat, do some deadlifting, expose yourself to cold, and stop eating estrogen boosting food.
  4. Hey folks. I'm thinking about hiring a life coach, but really struggle on making this decision, so I ask for your advice. First of all, hiring life coach feels like path of laziness - paying somebody to make emotional work for myself. Secondly, is it really worth? I'm really into self development and made some significant progress on this journey, so there are some doubts about will it make any difference? Thirdly, maybe some advice about how to choose one? Or any recommendations? I know there are quite a few life coaches on this forum, so really hope for your answers. And, of course, @Leo Gura 's advice is much appreciated. Thanks!
  5. So I have finished Life Purpose course some time ago, came up with several ideas of what it can be. The issue is that none of these ideas feels like some deep passion of mine, they're more like combination of my capability and skills possible huge impact meaningful and "conscious" goal Although this is nice, I dont feel like there is a lot of intrinsic motivation to do this (like burning fire inside). So my question is: Can I make up my passion? Or, in other words - is it possible to apply "fake it until you make it" technique to this problem? Or is it better just to continue searching?
