Don't resist the emotion but fully feel it with zero resistance. May be best to check on a doctor first. It may be a panic attack. May sound similar to what john sonmze is talking about. -
if you want to get mastery in any field just do deliberate practice in your choice of field. I recommend reading so good they can't ignore you by cal newport.

I think the biggest way the video have an impact on you is that you put the advice to practice just watching videos alone will not do much.

@Leo Gura lol best reply ever.

Check out cal newport’s book digital minimalism. It may have relevant information you can use.

I think you can use affirmations or what helped me was when I was about to give up on something I would consciously to step in and chose not to give up. There is a quote that goes like "your subconscious mind is always listening" so I assume self-talk will be a part to change your subconscious mind. Also decision making.

@Hardkill I don’t think you need to enjoy it. You just need to be able to embrace it and do it anyway. A good quote is toughen up and embrace the suck.

Mine is getting really good at a skill people will pay for.

Lots of things in personal development may need courage to be able to do it so it may be awesome with a video about it.
-
seems like this is the solution.

No not if you don’t want to. your life purpose should be based on the things YOU want to do. Not what someone else want.
-
What helped me was just to speak what came to mind. If you speak what ever come to mind you will find it is much easier to start a conversation with someone else(of course also with taking responsibility for what you are saying)

Be aware of consequences it can be dangerous not to take responsibility!!!

@TheAvatarState Challenge accepted!!!!! Nothing can stop you!!!! You are immortal!!!

Hey anyone know if there is going to be a video this week? Is it just delayed or is he waiting until next week?
-
I don’t want to change anything because if I did I might not have learn the lessons I know now.

https://www.retrievalpractice.org/ recall the information without looking and do so over days or weeks for long term memory https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distributed_practice you can use flash cards or the question book method which is basically a notebook where you turn the ideas into questions and answers and use them to recall the ideas. Do it with a lot of intensity to get it done in a short period of time http://calnewport.com/blog/2014/04/08/work-accomplished-time-spent-x-intensity/ https://www.scotthyoung.com/blog/2017/04/18/lesson-1-the-most-common-misconception-about-learning/ Let me know if there is anything else you want to know about learning how to learn.

We are all going to face the end someday would be nice with a video about it.

@okulele yeah I forgot about it when I wrote it.

I think this can be a good mindset to have. There is a lot of areas in life that is a challenge. For example if you have social anxiety it’s a challenge to be with people you aren’t familiar with but that may also be the cure for the social anxiety. Same with getting good at a craft you don’t get good by doing the same stuff over and over again when it’s easy you need something outside your comfort zone that’s a challenge. You may also have problems talking to the opposite sex that’s a challenge too but by facing that challenge over and over again you gain confidence in that area. It’s normal for most people to give up when they face a challenge but it may be a good idea to change that as there is greater rewards from taking the challenge. “if it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t chance you” “We don’t grow when things are easy. We grow when we face challenges” (I am afraid I don’t know who said it).

I think too many people does indirect effort when in reality what they need more is direct effort.

How do you develop the kind of drive David Goggins and Elon musk have? I am not necessary talking about just working long hours but about going intensely after something you believe is valuable for you and never giving up on it. this could be useful to have for any goal you want to achieve. i believe that drive helps you continue even when you don’t have motivation. If you need motivation to do something you are probably not going to achieve your goal because motivation comes and goes. “motivation is crap” David Goggins perfect topic for new year resolutions lol

@brugluiz It doesn't have to kill the creative process it can actually make it better because you get so good. Franz liszt was really creative and good because he got exceptional good at one thing. Same with Albert Einstein. I don't think it kills the creative process at all(because you get more creative the better you get). I am also pretty sure Nikola tesla stuck to getting exceptional good at one thing which was to create innovations. Also mozart was exceptional because he pretty much stuck to one thing. Same with bach And John williams. There is this 10000 hour rule that it take that much to be a master. You can't spend 10000 hours on a lot of different things. Actually innovations comes when you are at the edge of a field not from being on multiple fields that idea comes from so good they can't ignore you by cal newport. http://calnewport.com/blog/2014/02/02/the-empty-sky-paradox-why-are-stars-in-your-professional-field-so-rare/
