  1. Alright, my first journal on here, let's make it count. Goal: €10.000 per month net income (after tax) Timeframe: 5 years (June 2029) Reason: So I can travel while doing stand-up comedy and not having to worry about jobs or money in the future Currently: €28K in debt with almost no income First, I've realized that I don't care about money. The thought of buying cool stuff or experiences doesn't have the same kind of trigger that it used to. Doing my artistic pursuits, doing stand-up, having meaningful interactions with other people, that is the real thing for me. The fantasy of having lots of money is BYPASSING, just to escape the hard things and building mastery in my domain. I don't care if I'm broke, as long as I can do my comedy and have my own thoughts and feelings. I only care about the person I am becoming in this process, because I like that person. So now money just becomes practical, and for practical reasons I would like to have an income. I believe that having a 10K pm income would increase the quality of my life since it'll allow me to travel the world while doing stand-up, creating content, learning new things and further developing my character. History: I've dabbled in my online business things but mastered none. I've built and sold websites, I've done affiliate marketing (Clickbank), YouTube channel and many other things. Most notable is I started a Print-on-Demand Etsy shop in 2020 that has done over $500.000 in sales (not profit, not even close). This was my only income between 2020 and 2024. This business failed for several reasons, mainly; not enough commitment, poor financial management, increased competition (especially in 2023 and 2024). Leo said in his recent Being Wrong episode that he had lost his life purpose for over a year and I was in the same position. I denied who I really was and tried to become someone else. That was a big mistake. Now I understand the value of my LP even more. And the goal of my business should always be to support my LP and not be about the money or anything, that's an escape. Current situation: Right now I have 1 YouTube channel that I make videos with AI. It's not yet monetized but has 1050 subs and was only started 4 months ago. I also have an Etsy shop selling digital items that's making some sales now but not yet profitable. I'm entering into a government debt relief program which will restrict my access to money and whatnot for the coming 18 months. This is probably gonna suck, but should give me time to focus on my stand-up while learning new business skills. So 18 months from now I can start making money and be debt-free. The debt was created from borrowing money into my business (sole proprietorship) but not really growing. The debt snowball just increased which made me stressed and less capable of making sane business decisions. How to make money: First understand WHY I want to make money; so I can focus on stand-up. This WHY is so damn important, it influences every other decision. If I forget the WHY, I've pretty much failed. Like I said if I am a full-time comedian and always broke for the rest of my life, I'll take it! This making money stuff is just for practical purposes. So here are my making-money criteria: Not employment Not sales of physical products Must not consume too much of my time Must not be location bound Must not be bound to specific times Must not be a public persona; my public persona is as a comedian. So if I can't post a bit about me jerking off while high on Molly on my IG then forget about it. Must be ethical (my personal definition counts here) Makes me feel good about my work and myself Be future-proof (AI and stuff) No employees (virtual staff is okay) Scalable Most important factor. once again, is this is a tool to help me maximize my artistic potential, which is why there's so many negatives (not's) on this list. Right now on the top of my mind is learning to create funnels so I can help high-ticket coaches and public speakers get more clients. This seems to be a sensible thing to do. I could charge a retainer of perhaps $2K pm per client, or way higher retainers, as long as I get them clients. I also love the personal development niche so helping these people seems to fit my criteria. Also, having the ability to get people clients is always good and always worth money. And by mastering funnels I can also create my own funnels and do some affiliate marketing for existing online programs. I don't see this dying out anytime soon. In fact, when it comes to live personal development seminars, those will probably be way more popular in the AI age. I'd enjoy networking in this field too, so that's a plus. I downloaded Iman Gadzhi's Agency Navigator course a while ago and he talks about outsourcing. So once I master funnels, I could (as an agency) outsource the actual PPC ad management for low prices to quality third-world freelancers. My focus would then be on overseeing the projects, getting clients and of course managing the customer relationships. Part 1: Mastering Funnels So here we go. The first part of this journey is to master funnels. Spend 1 hour or more to learn everything there is about funnels in 2024 and in the future. This could also be a valuable skill if I host my own comedy shows later on to selling tickets and running these events. There's also a part of getting better at managing my money, but I'll get into that later. Step 1: spend 30 minutes every day learning about funnels.
  2. Staying up for two weeks straight is dangerous no matter what drugs you're on.
  3. But that invalidates your own earlier statement. Both conformity and the absence of it must be 100% Tolkien.
  4. Isn't that something? I didn't know there were words that could carry irony.
  5. I've been watching this show, it's pretty neat. Extreme orange masterclass 😁
  6. So the most conformist people in the world are the furthest removed from God? But isn't that place reserved for like .. .serial killers and Hitler? Hitler is quite non-conformist you could say. Or am I just playing word games at this point? I guess non-conformist people don't get lost as easily in the illusions of society, but at the same time neither do the mentally ill, and they're quite lost. Is there any significance to this whole conformity discussion at all then?
  7. I think the point of this thread is to poke through the illusion. How else will we get to the higher stages? More specifically what I mean is: so that we don't 'fall in love' or fall for the illusion of what other people display to us. So we don't think 'that person is so special'.
  8. Thinking for yourself. Following your intuition So are these the only examples of non-conformity?
  9. I've had it many times a girl and I would make strong eye contact in public and immediately she'd look at my dick, especially with sweatpants. I have a small penis but you can't see that, or they don't care. That's about as direct as it gets with a stranger lol. I never approached any of those cause I was too shy, like now all of a sudden I was missing a connection first. But I would bet those would be extremely quick daytime lays, something some people in this thread seem to not believe exist. Someone else posted about sweatpants here too a while back. Some women will literally try to grab your thing by walking really close and letting their hands lose in that direction. I met a guy once who wore a kilt to the pub and he was basically sexually molested by girls all night lol. If you wanna get laid quick, you definitely can. Yes there are cultural differences, this was all in the Netherlands which is both a direct country and a very equal country when it comes to men and women, hence their incentive to be so direct about sex.
  10. Lol I've recently started collecting license plates in my head.
  11. Then you could also say: all other cultures.
  12. Couples who go jogging or rollerblading.
  13. @Olaf my experience has literally been the opposite. I feel like girls wanted to have sex or make out where I didn't want to way more often than the reverse.
  14. @Olaf yes what you say is correct but my point was: I can't remember going on dates to 'please her' only to want to extract something from her in exchange (sex). That seems dishonest. My experience has been girls are hornier than guys but they won't outright ask cuz they can't handle rejection.
  15. I'm just listening to old tapes of RSD Owen Cook talking about success and working 16-hour days. But then I also see today's Owen saying it's all bullshit. Is that how it is? When you're young you think working hard matters but as you're older you realize it was just a lie? Can you build a successful business or career without hard work? I mean, define hard work right? Right now I work maybe 35 hours, 7 days a week in my own business. That's actual focused work. I'm quite happy with it. But then are these hustle and grind guys just fucking deranged, or is there something to it?
  16. Not my experience. My quickest win came at a club where I grabbed a girls hand, we made out and then she asked your place or mine. Was like 5 minutes tops. Other times it was more like tinder dates but I never saw that as playing games for hours, just a date. What you're describing is inauthentic game, I don't think it should feel like a struggle. But tbh I haven't done a lot of pickup.
  17. I just don't get it. Some top entrepreneur 200 years ago worked 80 hour weeks. Now, with AI agents and all the information in the world, we still do it? Seems like a scam. Like some limiting belief that only hard work creates riches. However, it might be more about emersion. If you work seven days, that's what 80% of your mind will go to. But if you also have hobbies, interest, other friends etc it gets scattered and reduced to maybe 30%, not enough to get momentum.
  18. Wrestler jumped off a roof onto a pickup truck through tables and a bunch of lightbulbs. He said it felt like being in a car crash. Not recommended.
  19. Fascinating what's happening in Russia today When are the corrupt oligarchs finally going to turn?
  20. Where do you live? That's pretty much how they do it in the Netherlands. Plus we also got these underground containers:
  21. Housing is a basic human right, not a commodity! Here's how we fix it: everybody who has a job gets 1 housing token per month. Everyone gets the same size basic house. If you want a nicer house or go on vacation, you make more career or start a business and buy those things with money. But the public housing market is detached from the monetary system. It just costs one housing token per month. If you're homeless by choice and refuse all work opportunities you don't get a housing token but you get a homeless token which is just a bunk bed in a shelter. If you're an entrepreneur and over a certain income threshold you don't get any housing token and you can use money to buy / rent in the private sector (much nicer homes). Minimum wage is always: 1 housing token + 20% cash. So if the min. wage in euros is 1500 per month, then it's now 1 token + 300 euros for food etc. Median income might be around 1 housing token + 1200 euros or something. Above median wage you stop receiving the housing token and can rent / buy private. Who's gonna build the houses? Well, the builders who build them get a 80% salary reduction, as they'll now receive 1 housing token plus some cash for groceries per month. End of the day this boils down to the same wage but without the rent ever going up.So now the building company has all this cash left cause they don't have to pay those salaries, and this money goes back to the government to build more houses. We also add an extra wealth tax on billionaires for extra cash and funsies. You can still become very wealthy, but anything over $20 million in personal wealth / assets just gets taxed more heavily. Yes this creates some cheating and overseas constructions but who cares? This is just bonus, the main point is the housing tokens. Is this a good idea? I don't know. It would take decades to make this transition and requires the country to be 60%+ public housing, but if there's a will there's a way. If AI ends up actually reducing hours worked then why not? This doesn't mean the end of capitalism it just means the public housing market is (fake) detached from money. The main problem with all this UBI stuff is that it might kill ambition. Necessity is the mother of all inventions. Worst case everyone just gets a PlayStation and gives up on their dreams. Best case you have more spare time to chase them.
  22. If you're truly present and engaged in your daily life, what's the difference between work and not work?
  23. Yeah its probably very flawed, it was just a thought I had so I wanted to write it down and used a catchy title Got that housing quote from this video btw, quite interesting. I've seen so many homeless people in Lisbon, many people there simply can't pay the rent anymore.
  24. Good point, where'd you find the anecdotal evidence though? For me it's like that though. When I do long nofap I lose interest in sex and probably come off as a bit weird. I think what women like in a man's aura is authenticity. All these conformist normie dudes look the same so give off a different energy you're gold.
