@Leo Gura While the categorization of political movements can be influenced by perspective and semantics, recognizing the foundational differences in ideology, goals, and methods is key to a thorough understanding and discussion of these topics. Maybe that's the difference why Germany was so successful in philosophy, science and engineering compared to the rest of the world. We value precision and nuance in our native language when we talk about a topic.

I watched it. I thought Owen Cook is just ranting again and screaming around. Are there other good per Owen cook videos out there? I just watched randomly and rarely his videos touched my interest but this one is gold.
-
Yeah I want to distinguish them and hope others will do also. Even if there are pipelines, It's important to maintain clear distinctions between different ideologies. The Nazis were not conservatives in the traditional sense but represented a distinct, extremist form of far-right fascism.
-
@Leo Gura while it's possible to discuss varying degrees of conservatism and liberalism, placing Nazism within this framework as merely a more extreme form of conservatism oversimplifies and misrepresents both the ideology itself and the broader spectrum of conservative thought. The fundamental differences in principles, goals, and methods necessitate distinguishing between extreme right-wing fascism and conservatism, even at its most traditional or reactionary.
-
Because right-wing is a much broader term which can include conservative. However while the Nazis operated on the far-right of the political spectrum with its authoritarian and nationalist policies, its radicalism, totalitarianism, and racial ideology place it outside the bounds of traditional conservatism. It's essential to recognize these distinctions to understand the specific nature of Nazi ideology. That's what I try here to point out the whole time.
-
@Leo Gura Nazis do not fit into the categories of liberalism or conservatism. they can be accurately placed on the political spectrum as a far-right, authoritarian, and fascist ideology.
-
@Leo Gura yeah we disagree here completely then. Fine by that, I am german and know how my German ancestors think and lived. They were the opposite of conservatives and from studying Hitlers ideology and their actions it makes no sense to me to even consider Nazis as conservatives. But interesting to hear other views.
-
@Leo Gura I understood your point but Hitler and Nazi Germany were not the way you see it. Not at all! While the Nazis invoked traditional values to gain support, their ideology and practices were fundamentally revolutionary, aimed at radically transforming society in ways that are not aligned with conservative principles. Labeling the Nazis as "conservatives" overlooks the radical, totalitarian, and genocidal nature of their regime, which sought not just to conserve or return to a past state of affairs but to create something entirely new based on their ideological vision. Hitler doesnt even like conservatives. The Nazis' goal was not to restore the monarchy or strengthen conservative institutions but to create a totalitarian state. Conservatives initially mistrusted Hitler and the Nazi Party, seeing them as too radical and disruptive. Nazi goals were fundamentally at odds with conservative principles. Hitler was able to gain the support of some conservative elements in German society by playing on fears of communism and promising to restore national pride and strength. However, this support was often based on a pragmatic and temporary alignment of interests rather than a genuine shared ideology.
-
@Leo Gura You can say that many who initially supported or joined the Nazi party might have identified with conservative values. However, the Nazi ideology itself, as it unfolded, was far from conservative in the traditional sense. It sought radical transformation of society. This radicalism far exceeded any conservative inclination toward preserving existing social orders.
-
Nazis were way more radical than the most ultra conservative men. They wanted to build an entire new world based on biological principles and would readily sacrifice their own lifes for this new vision. Overall Nazis were too revolutionary, they have their own category on the political spectrum.
-
Yeah I can understand that you see that as weird, because you heard probably otherwise in these propaganda docus on YouTube. You know I am from Germany and am not so much influenced from propaganda like other nations about Hitler because I can understand Hitlers speeches directly without any historican in between who doesn't know german culture, doesn't understand German language and who needs to fulfill the victory story. To call Nazis as conservative is still wrong. They shared maybe some goals with conservative like national union and restoration of german military however conservatists try normally to preserve existing social institutions, values and norms. Hitler wiped out these completely out of the window. Hitler brought a real revolutionary change in Germany society. If Nazis were just conservative, not so much would change.
-
@Leo Gura It's not accurate to reduce the complex dynamics of Nazi appeal and enmity to simple contemporary political labels like "conservatives" and "liberals." The Nazis drew support from various segments of German society at the time, especially the intellectual elite, scientists. They all were 100% in it.

here is the video, this is not a past life: he thought the trip was over and he continued his mediocre life until he got 75 years old and he died from colon camcer which he describes in great detail but he was still tripping the whole time! it was a normal life for 50 years.
-
@Ishanga no that's not past life's. There was one guy who smoked DMT and experienced a lifetime in his body in same time he lives. During these 30years (?)there was no development in technology. iPhone was always an iPhone. he married and had children.then smoked as 80 years old DMT and then switched back to his original self. (I don't remember exactly so some details could be wrong) It was posted here on this forum.

@Ishanga Yoga is a broad term here in the West and just means wellness/health/fitness to most people here. Some western yoga courses can have a spiritual touch but nothing serious. I don't mean isha yoga at all by that.To make it clear I edited my post and called it western yoga, extra for you my friend.
-
That's exactly what I said before in my comments which you called crap. Please read more carefully and nuanced and don't fall into yoga dogma so quickly.
-
I know Indian yoga is deeper but most people do yoga not because of union but because of gaining health and happiness and that's exactly what I mean by this word and that is common sense here. Not that what your sadghuru teaches. Yes happiness is basic. With depression and low health you cannot do anything. But just pursuing happiness and health your whole life is not deep at all. If you want to evolve then you need to go beyond basic needs. Meet your basic needs and then move on to higher realms (look for mashlows pyramide).

@r0ckyreed yeah you are right. And I want to add that reality Is too profound to be understood. I can come up with this fucked up idea that no external world exists and no one can disprove it really like solipsism. But that does not make it true. Only true for oneself because oneself defines his own version of reality and if he thinks solipsism is true and there is no outside world then it will be true for him. But just for him. -

Read the conversation. That's next level... ChatGPT could not answer like that. It reads so well. I will get this kI -
Lol if you just look for happiness and good health, then go to western yoga. Here we talk about self development and deeper understanding which can include deep misery. Just looking for happiness is shallow and you will have no character and just a simple life with simple thoughts and emotions. But go for it

Would you say that on my analogy external virtual world exists? Probably not Imagine 100 people wearing a VR headset and walk in a virtual park .all perceive this park. If one takes off his VR headset the virtual park still exists in others VR headsets. But would you describe this park therefore as external reality? -

@Razard86 yeah but you missed the part that we all share imaginations. Even if I create imagination of a building and if I don't look on it it doesn't exist for me, it still exists as a copy in another gods mind. It's like you play online game and turn your PC off. Your virtual world disappears but on other PC s a copy of this virtual world runs still. By the way if you don't look at a building technically speaking it still exists in your subconscious mind. -

Sorry but Jack Black looks good. He doesn't look average at all. He has a symmetrical face, good teeth, almost full hair, Good voice, good clothes styles. Just overweight and short but that doesn't make everything ugly about him. You can still see he has the genetics.
