  1. @Angelo John Gage What would you make them out of?
  2. @kieranperez I find it impossible to think and focus on stomach breathing at the same time.
  3. @Angelo John Gage If you were going to make a universe and experience it not knowing who you actually are, how would you go about doing it? To start with, how would you ‘get there’ without revealing who you really are?
  4. @kieranperez Pick wanted thoughts. When a negative thought comes, say the opposite to yourself a few times. Either is true in the sense, it’s only a thought. The distinction between what’s happening, and a thought, is important.
  5. @Dsteller “living” is suffering. You’re not alive though. So suffering is illusionary.
  6. @Faceless that’s the why of meditation / self inquiry. That was a quick circle.
  7. @Psyche_92 I am not familiar with the course, only resistant thinking. I suggest a night’s sleep, morning meditation, and then write down what you want. Mental resistance accumulates though the day. Practicing mindfulness is useful for this. Sleep cleans the slate and returns us to neutral. Exercise is useful in getting driven, past neutral. Diet is useful in preventing resistant thinking to begin with.
  8. @How to be wise making distinctions about the state void of distinctions is grounds for another 150 page circle jerk. ??
  9. @Dodo I understand what you’re saying. I was point at the “my” in “my contemplation”.
  10. @ragolp what is a who. Who is a what. Maybe humanity has known this for a while.... He was clever using the elephant, and the ‘Mayor’.
  11. @Maxx I think you could even go so far as to say that the universe is an illusion had by you, and the essence in not missing, but hidden in everpresence by being everything around you right now and ‘your person’.
  12. I think the ‘sides’ of this thread are experienced it intellectually & physiologically, compared to experienced it as what I am. A lot of “true” or accurate philosophy etc can unveil our own beliefs & paradigms revealing a more “true” perspective, but without experiencing it directly, we’re left with the perspective that nothing is something other than “God” or “Infinite” - that it’s not what we actuality are. Like getting to the emptying of the illusion, but not being the reality of the absolute.
  13. @Nexeternity it’s your illusion.
  14. We can be what we’ll be then, now, because we already are. Then you’ll know what you are, and what is ‘beyond’ your death. Then you’ll know you don’t ever die.
