  9. Consider homeostasis 1 The tendency of a system, especially the physiological system of higher animals, to maintain internal stability, owing to the coordinated response of its parts to any situation or stimulus that would tend to disturb its normal condition or function. 2. Psychology. a state of psychological equilibrium obtained when tension or a drive has been reduced or eliminated. Is there something you’re adding, which is preventing a more even ride - preventing your natural homeostasis. Have you ruled out the common ‘additives’ of life that keep us off kilter, like diet, sugar withdrawal cycle, artificial sweeteners, alchohol, eating too late, social media, gaming add, etc? Doing daily meditation? Getting some exercise? Getting some nature when you can? You’re not bipolar, this is part of awakening. You’re more aware and hittin the bliss notes, and you’re more aware of the things you want to stop doing, more aware of negative thoughts, not to mention the pressure you put on yourself. 20-24 is the roughest age imo. What you’re describing is not so uncommon. You’ve got to chill though, so you have clarity to investigate. Build the habit of stomach breathing, when intense highs or lows come around, it sends all kinds of signals to your body and brain that everything’s cool (like when the Wolf in Pump Fiction shows up). You’ll be way past this and remembering and appreciating it one day I promise. It’s making you who you are; the first part is rough, but the second part is great and lasts forever. “Believe it and you’ll see it” is important. You have to find your way, one little bit better thought at a time, to feeling that you can do it - and you’ve gotta be brave about it. Courage leaves us feeling good about ourselves. Get back to feelin good about yourself! Ease up about your life and your potential. It will all be fine. It’s one moment at a time. You can handle this moment. That’s the largest amount of time you’ll ever experience. Literallly, this moment. The rest is thoughts in the head, and meditation will free you of those in time.
  10. @Jamie Universe You notice what the difference is. That’s all that matters. What I think / my meaning really doesn’t matter and would just muddy it.
  11. @Rebec post the reference material if you don’t mind. Clearly, I am a walking talking personality disorder, just curious to see the specifics on where you’re post is coming from. Thanks! ❤️
  12. @Monkey-man So, what do you make of all this? Great post btw.
  13. @SOUL Once you experience what is real, what is absolute, all else is revealed to be the illusion. It can’t be communicated. You’d have to experience it for yourself to have clarity on the things in your last post. Of course I love my kids. Lol. Of course you, me and them are in reality the absolute, and in every other way - an illusion. Edit: The moon is not there when you’re not looking at it. And if I was any more joyful right now, I’d explode I think. Love you Soul!
  14. @SOUL No third. It’s a loop. There’s no observer. The wave, and the particle, and the ‘observer’ are the illusion of the absolute. Superposition would be “between” the illusion and the absolute (but illusionary).
  15. @SOUL It seems to me there is being, which is very far “outside” of spacetime and the illusion is anchored to the being with what we otherwise refer to as gravity, in superposition / potentiality - relative to the experience of it, and being is being aware.... awareness which is entanglement, or not in time, but not out of time, due to entanglement / no time, this “process” (really it’s magic) is experienced as the present - light / wave duality - collapsed..., but only if within it is a false “perception” of observation, resulting in us thinking we’re alive, and time is passing. I’m sure it could work backwards but I have no idea how.
  16. @sarapr I would (if you’re in a good mood) look into how it is that you’re not alive right now. Then you might be free of that. Also, just go ahead and hug yourself, like, you’re right there. Extend your arms out in front of you like a big X, then pretend you’re grabbing two ropes, and slowly pull them towards yourself. Lol ❤️
  17. @PetarKa It’s less like something will happen, more like you stand to experience what is actually happening aside from ‘your involvement’. (Not literally true). This might help. You probably already saw it but.... Do Nothing Meditation Many respected spiritual traditions, including Buddhism and Hindu Advaita just to name two, claim that the highest state of spiritual communion is actually present in our minds at all times. And yet many meditation techniques focus on creating some special state that wasn't there before the meditation, and which goes away at some point after the meditation. If the highest state is actually present all the time, shouldn't it be possible to simply notice it without inducing some change, or special state? That is exactly the purpose of the Do Nothing Meditation. This technique (which is really an un-technique) will allow you to contact the highest spiritual state without actually doing anything. Each time you notice an intention to control or direct your attention, give it up. 1. There is no need to get into any particular posture, unless you feel like it. 2. Do not position your attention in any particular way. 3. Let whatever happens happen. 4. Any time you notice yourself doing anything intentionally, stop. Doing anything intentionally means something you can voluntarily control, and therefore can stop. If you cannot stop doing something, then it's not intentional, and therefore you don't need to try to stop doing it. So. Anything you can stop doing, stop doing. Some examples of things you can stop doing are: * Intentionally thinking * Trying to focus on something specific * Trying to have equanimity * Trying to keep track of what's going on * Trying to meditate Let go of doing anything like this. 5. Keep doing nothing for at least 10 minutes, or as long as you like. CAUTIONS: It may be difficult for some people to notice any difference between the Do Nothing meditation and gross "monkey mind," that is, the ceaseless, driven and fixated thoughts of the everyday neurotic mind. If this seems to be the case for you, it may be helpful to do a more structured technique.
  18. @Nathan If I’m hearing you accurately......that’s awesome to hear man. ?
  19. @SOUL I know I’m direct (wife reminds me) but I love to learn and enhance distinctions. I am interested if you care to elaborate. Seriously, tear a new hole in anything I say. I welcome it. ❤️❤️❤️ Edit: Might be unnecessary, not sure, but I mean “being” in the sense of you are a Being - not as in “being funny” or “being aware”. I mean you are THE Being, which is aware, and that that does not go the other direction.
  20. Totally normal. DOn’t want it at your back your whole life. Got to sit with it and stomach breath and let it process. Awareness really is curative, maybe work on where it’s coming from. Must’ve filed some events away in a manor that would probably make you anger to realize, but that awareness of it is the liberation of it too. Good luck. I was there. It sucks ass. It’s worth it to work through it.
  21. Once the deception is revealed, it’s easy to appreciate.
  22. @Dan94 good job on the discipline of practices. Sounds like things might be getting a little stagnant? Maybe it’s time for a trip?
