  1. @Dino D “Proof” is looking at the bowl and saying it’s a bowl. I’m a freakin owl Dino. Now prove to me I am not an owl? There is no need for existential thinking or fear. It is enough to be genuinely curious. To inquire and wonder. Just to look around you right now and be sufficiently suspicious that the appearance of reality, is a little fishy.
  2. @Dino D Exactly. You got it. The fish says “how do I make sense of everything?”. The water, fish & bowl are thought, reason, logic. The bowl is the veil. (Ego, ignorance) Outside the bowl is the infinite, and the fish, water & bowl are too. But the fish says “That doesn’t make sense of everything, to a fish”. And infinite says nothing, to no one. But this fish persists. This fish is done with fear.
  3. @Bernard Godspeed my friend. Keep looking, keep inquiring. You will find the strength & the Love in you. You will find the inspiration.
  4. @Dino D Take away the “you” which all of that is relative to and it makes perfect sense, as there’s no you trying to make it make sense.
  5. That’s the attitude! Maybe death is ‘bad’ is nothing more than a belief! Self inquire...what is an a priori “I”? What is even meant by “I”? Been sayin it your whole life. Stop and contemplate what it is... and is it which says “I”, and refers to an “I”? In all seriousness, self inquiry is fun, exciting even. Don’t ever believe the gloom & doomers, that’s maya. @Key Elements I think I hear ya now. There’s been no service to anyone in this life, and yet, this entire life has been in service to ‘guests’. Ego is “escapable”, but there’s no escaping love. Not that one would want too. Service is great fortune. ❤️
  6. Envy feels false. Doesn’t it, just simple put, feel false? Feels inhibitive right? Why? @SoonHei Orders of magnitude....remember that one pebble by the tree that you walked by 6 years ago? ... See how not-at-all-relative that pebble is to you right now? That’s your life to the magnitude of infinite. It’s not that it’s only a tiny bit relative, it’s that there is no relativity...it didn’t even happen, and You are perfectly at peace and complete. Like a movie happens on a screen, but really the movie isn’t happening....light from the projector appears as a movie happening on the screen, but you know it’s just light. Look around you right now, that’s “light” appearing as reality. That is one heck of a projector.
  7. It’s awareness. Relative to homeostasis - hyperawareness - of “this human” “this body” “this mind”. That awareness can go all the way to the source. During the hyperawareness the ego is freaking out. Beyond it, just the ineffable.
  8. If there is a ‘you’, and a ‘movie / doing’, there is meaning (relativity / maya), but meaning is movie stuff, not screen stuff (consciousness). Screen stuff is ineffably meaningless because it’s infinite, but not what the brain thinks meaningless means, because that is meaning (relativity). Your inquiry draws out the value of direct experience, but if you’re reading this and thinking about what I’m saying, that value is a thought and not what I’m wishing I could actually convey, if I were a who. ❤️
  9. It’s a dream. There isn’t a timeline.
  10. The present is just an appearance. ? The tree is the seed, the seed is the tree, both are nothing. ❤️ You’d have to be very intelligent to pull that off.
  11. @Quanty Hey! I’m reliable. Lol
  12. @Revolutionary Think Right on man. Let em be past traumas and angers. You learned. You’re the better for it now. Now you get to have fun. I started with a job counting empty bottle returns, and separating them into bins to be returned to each company. Those bottles all still had beer residue in them and so did most of the customers. I flipped those empties over my shoulders & into the bins like Tom freakin Cruise in Cocktail. $3.35 an hour. I loved it. Got a second job too (paper route), subcontracted it to another kid. I was 13 and I needed to buy clothes. Attitude is everything.
  13. The seed might be two hour shifts. The tree might be owning your own business doing exactly what you want. How lucky are you to find the folks doing this work are overworked and disheveled. I would be elated that my competition is minimal and the demand is high. You are projecting the entire universe, maybe start with looking at attitude and perspective. if God gives you lemons, sell lemonade.
  14. @DocHoliday Yeah. I was really into fitness, meditation, qm’s, neurology, biology, and Loa for years, then had my first taste of nonduality a year ago...so Joe is like some adjective I don’t have a word for other than nondual. Listening to him, I feel like I’m in the crowd, listening to myself put it all together for myself. Awesomely weirdly cool. And funny af. I love your signature lines btw. The revolution is well underway!
  15. @RendHeaven I can relate. I went through a dynamic roller coaster a while back with sugar & poor diet, call of duty, terrible sleep durations, etc (major backlash without the luxury of knowing what backlash was). I tried a lot of things. What ended up “working” like a charm was some form of exercise followed by meditation first thing in the morning. I read that we wake up (disclaimer; with a proper night’s sleep) with 100% will power, and “spend” it through the day, which is why most people drink, do drugs, overeat etc... at night. I needed to get up for work around 7, but I got up at 4am everyday to do those practices. Never went back. It sounds to me like you’re aware of this already, and that is enough. That and a little patience. I think you got this man. Not trying to be a hypocritical ball buster but I’m over twice your age and if I have a glimpse of what’s down the road for you it’s how inner self talk matters a lot. Read some NLP info online if interested for some exposure, Loa (Hicks) is useful for this too. That inner talk is steering the ship man. It’s like the real steering wheel in the basement, while you’re holding the steering wheel on the first floor (the one not attached to anything so to speak) You can do major consciousness work and awaken a more direct awareness to this, or be diligent and vigilant with it now and just reap the benefits. I’m hoping to save you some time & headaches. Godspeed man, keep kickin ass. You’re not beneath a damn thing. No one is better or worse than you. You are perfect no matter what you do. Thinking you’re not is just adding more “work” to undo. You are perfect simply because you are. You don’t have to beat up on yourself to get motivated. Life is much easier if you don’t.
  16. Was just reading his book. You heard his own story? Getting hit by a truck, spinal injury’s, rejected surgery & healed ‘himself’ etc?
  17. @Viking Maybe you can express / talk about these “ugly” things you say are hard to love about yourself and then start to have some relief as folks here help you to realize that’s just habitual thinking. (cause you’re totally lovable already)
  18. @martin_malin Really feel for you bro. That is a rough. Just a suggestion, try to swap perspectives; ‘psychedelics scare the shit out of me’ for ‘psychedelics shit the scare out of me’. Check this clip out...even MIchael who wrote a book on the subject shares your experience. Might feel good to relate. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ASm3EJAFjYQ
