  1. @clouffy You could call it that. I would consider for a few minutes - what is power for? Why do you want it? What will you do with it?
  2. Yes. All roads lead to letting go. The ego is a cluster of thoughts & beliefs which have constituted what and who you are in your experience so far. It must be surrendered / let go of. Once ‘gone’ or ‘out of the way’, only Truth remains. Death does not exist, but the “death” of the false self can be a terrifying experience. For some, trust in God is useful. For others, willingly surrendering, dying, to know Truth is helpful. For some, learning about reality, until you realize the groundlessness and meaninglessness of it can be helpful. There is still the surrender, but it is greatly minimized as you can logically see what you must not be.
  3. @clouffy I would release “power” from the vernacular all together.
  4. @Nihal217 Thinking veils, yet theory is useful, so careful in that sense. Consider what is needed is returning to the inward search over & over, and do practices which enhance letting thought go, and ‘searching’ for the feeling within yourself. Any & all barriers (negative thoughts & beliefs you created about yourself) will be seen, understood, and will vanish in that process. Relative to the severity & repetition of such thoughts & beliefs, there might be the experience some of purging, or purification. It is good, it is the clearing of blockages / letting go of resistance, and it will pass. Basically experiences that didn’t unify with the nature of who you really are were suppressed, or veiled, or ‘put out of awareness’ / fragmented. These are / were finite limiting beliefs and they won’t settle, or reconcile with your infinite nature. Another frame up is that perspectives of I as a separate individual, will not resolve, because it is not the truth. Because your true nature is good, there is a body / mind auto-process of rejecting any negative self beliefs. It takes much energy & effort to maintain the suppression / fragmentation. Allow the emotions to play out freely, express them verbally, through writing, through tears, etc. Understand them. Allow the purification.
  5. @clouffy Seems skeptical to cynical, some practical, and some short term egoic thinking. Cutthroat thinking could work for short term gains, but it does not make for long term happiness / self discovery. In business genuine relationships are more important than short term gains. Power is conceptual. (I have not read the book though.)
  6. @OmniYoga It doesn’t matter. When you meet it’ll all be wiped out, whatever it was.
  7. I don’t think so.
  8. @Shaun Who would you be without your beliefs about God, and without any limited thinking about yourself? That’s you already. Right now. (Minus the blasphemy & sin.) So nothing to worry about. You’re already fine.
  9. @Belay kelemework Deep, wife changing stuff.
  10. @Sukhpaal If everyone could get to the bottom of these two, there’s a very deep peace... What are you so afraid of? Why do you ‘go to’ the reaction of harming yourself? Why is it you ‘go against yourself’?
  11. +1!
  12. To speak against your Self.
  13. Naturally found the way to the usefulness of meditation, self inquiry and contemplation. They compliment the yoga. With the yoga, is the purging of patterns the body / mind has identified with in thought & emotion. The purging of the deeper attachments of identity are arising / surfacing - so now allow the purge to complete, let it go. How? Meditation: Stomach breath awareness. This is ‘home’, peacefulness - through the purging process. Regarding the suicidal thoughts - the ego employs the notion that You could die, as a means to perpetuate itself. Do not give thinking attention -return attention to stomach breathing, allow ALL thoughts to be as they are. Suicidal thoughts are not special, nor unique. They are just thoughts, like any other. What is needed is the practice of allowing them to be, by returning attention to stomach breathing. Contemplation: Breath awareness meditation, relax / “send the let go signal” to each muscle from the crown to the toes. Then “have a look at” what is purging out - look at the sensation called horniness, look at the sensation called anger. Be inquisitive to their nature, explore them, accept them, see if there is any truth in them. There are great ‘results’, yet the inclination is to take a brake. Do not be fooled - this break is so the ego can continue is habits, it’s repetitive nature. At the rate you’re going, it would not be able to do this. After the purification is complete - I am filled with I am. After the purification of falsity, separation, things needed - I am all things, and no thing is needed. After fear is inspected - There was no one there who was afraid, there was no thing to fear. It was never anything more than attention to thoughts.
  14. @Anders901 How do the two resolve?
  15. @Jackthelad Best of luck to you! @DrewNows ?? Give it a try if you haven’t, I bet you’d love it.
  16. Ever contemplate the profundity of the obscurity of say, Jesus, or The Buddha? Almost as if the their message is so ‘close’, so clear, that it’s not even close, but nondual in actuality. Not one of us has a shred of evidence or proof they walked the earth, while at the same time, every One of us is the evidence.
  17. @TheAvatarState Ever notice when you look at a clock, it reminds you this is a dream?
  18. @S-Max Awesome, and anytime. Maybe another time, we do some work on that atheism. ?
