  1. Thanks everyone ill take your advice to heart and implement Some I am already implementing on a day to day basis while others hadnt come to mind and upon closer reflection really might help. Thnx
  2. thats.. what seems to be the question at hand, because generally the topic or things that i talk about with people here doesnt differ much at all, since no one around me is into self development, spirituality, and other interests i have (aparently where i live its a tad unusual) when intoxicated, the content doesnt change, we just play around, and talk about their interests which is usually what some people label low conciousness stuff, but i know better than to judge, anyway, i digress, the point is the topics dont change but my level of enthusiasm changes a whole lot and overall dopamine levels skyrocket. so i feel its better for me and the person im with if im transmiting a better energy to consequently uplift myself and every around. so i was wondering if anyone around would have some good advice when it comes to this.
  3. So its been about 10 days since ive decided to work on my social skills, and so far its pretty good, but there is just one thing thats been in the field and it has caught my attention. The thing is, i can make conversation pretty well but it doesnt make me feel good like people say it does. However, the oposite holds true for when im on events and hoidays like the new years, where im under the effects of alcohool which makes me get a hell of a kick out of conversation. So, my question is, how do i get a ''kick'' out of conversation when im sober? is it something that i just have to push through and keep working on? or is there just something wrong with my brain?
  4. Okay guys, ive recently found this method of getting things done that has turned out to be extremely effective for me. There is of course, a prerequisite for this, and thats having an established routine. So, assuming you already have one, whether a daily to do list or shedule or whatever, the next step would be for you to count your tasks. The best way to do this would be to take a piece of paper or a small block of notes with you at all times and make two sections, one for counting and one for listing the distractions that appear when doing those tasks. And this is effective as you can keep track of how much you're acually getting done, because, of course, if something unexpected happens or someone asks for your help then you count it as a task as well and at the same time you can blot out the distractions as you work with a clear mind. Btw I like to count tasks by listing them; like writing down the task I just did and numbering them as part of my task count. Just tought id share this in case it helps anyone, because so far its helping immensely
  5. may you be blessed
  6. of course, but as i said this is just a functional point of view for self actualization and self improvement, which is the whole reason i posted this in the self actualization topic and not spirituality, meditation, consciousness topic, which people seem to be confusing this with. Im not here to debate beliefs, im just here to present a different point view that may possibly help you or anyone else on your journey, and if it doesn't serve you, that's okay... you can just move on.
  7. do it to feel it, right?
  8. as paraphrased from matt kahns teachings, living by the code of intention helps alot.
  9. im kinda focusing on the functional aspects of things, actually.
  10. so, what do you want to draw on the drawing board? im very good at drawing mind you
  11. Real action is not dependent upon an emotional state to cloud your judgement. Real action doesn't have to wait till you feel like it, it can make a change in you regardless of your emotional state, consequently provoking growth whenever you engage in said activity Look at your life and see what action is totally dependent upon an emotional state, a feeling, confort et cetera. Real action promotes growth at every turn. Example from my own life: -Activities involving spirituality -Learning -Exercise -Building self discipline (ex: waking up early, taking cold showers, no fap etc etc)
  12. Free Control: the manipulation of of events, circumstances, objects and people in favor of a certain motive Freedom is absolute, control is not; control is but an unconscious form of freedom You are free to feel however you need to feel You are free to be however you are, its okay... You are free to act in whichever way you need to act You are free to think what you need to think, desire what you need to desire, imagine what you need to imagine, to want to control, restrict, reject, grasp, accept, hate, love, laugh, jugde, feel ashamed, to want or not want, its okay to be however you are because you are free Freedom doesnt lie in manipulation, it is the absolute nature of things, You are freedom
