  1. can't you see that now you're actually free to do whatever? the human creature is very funny. if we told what to do... if a purpose for our lives is imposed by an external authority... we will fight against it! but when we realize that there is no fundamental purpose and we're free to do whatever, we struggle too! the only way out is to embrace complete freedom.
  2. you, the universe itself experiencing this moment, exist! it is a misunderstood on the level of thoughts about what we mean by "i" or "you". as i speak to you, the universe speaks to itself.
  3. @Neorez no-self = simply being. it's an experience of no thought. you just need to detach from what you think of yourself and that's it. the universe does not need to express itself through a dead body to be itself. the universe is itself regardless of what you do and what you think. the universe is so powerful that it can think it's something else, like a separated entity. and that's what most people are... expressions of the universe that don't know their True Identity.
  4. there is an absolute perspective, which is being without thoughts. it's an extremely rare (yet, possible) experience for human beings. anyways, if that's your subjective perspective, i still think otherwise. the human experience is very vast and full of amazing possibilities. maybe you're the one stuck in futilities? maybe you just need to improve the quality of your life? "ah, no no, everything sucks. i can't get enough from existence! this is such a horrible place to live! society is crap. it's always been crap and it will always be crap" how come we're livin in the same world and we have completely opposite (and yet, valid) feelings about the human realm?
  5. as if human beings and whatever we touch and transform were separated from god. you say "everything is a distraction"? i say "everything is god itself". you can't judge a particular kind of lifestyle from the absolute perspective. this is the same mistake made by religious fundamentalists: they think that they can derive morality from the idea of a separated god.
  6. you are the one resisting to notice that it's all you, telling yourself to stop resisting
  7. you can be aware of the fabric of reality, but you cannot know how it happens.
  8. @Pure Imagination write down every small detail about life that makes you impatient. choose 1~2 of them every day and be ready when it happens. this kind of work takes TIME.
  9. @ValiantSalvatore what reborns? it's impossible to really know the answer to this kind of question if you haven't fully realized True Nature. whatever i say will sound like dogma.
  10. more real than this is impossible.
  11. @Serotoninluv uploading memory to a computer is completely possible in theory. the current barrier is our engineering skills. keep in mind that uploading memory is thousands miles away from allowing a computer to behave like a person, as lay people think. in order to make a computer behave like a person, every mechanic of the brain would have to be mimicked such as learning and decoding inputs. also, the brain is not the only node of processing for decision making... the spine, the heart and the gut are also capable of making decisions on their own.
  12. no. this is the core mystery of existence. the universe did/does. it happens when you buy a new computer. i think you're just confusing what you call by "you". the closest that you can come from grasping the absolute perspective with the mind is by replacing every pronoun by "god", "universe", "reality", "existence" or something like that. consciousness is the fabric of reality. i don't have consciousness. this body and this mind are made out of consciousness.
  13. computers are made out of consciousness
  14. nah, i don't care that much about being right anymore. it doesn't feed me. realizing my own flaws feed me.
  15. i just had this insight that this is actually a good thread. struggles and triggers are powerful vehicles for growth, if faced properly. it's a chance for the actualized.org community to grow!
  16. it's alright. take your time. remember that growth is also about healing. it's impossible to teach well without a soft heart. words of wisdom feel friendly, not confronting.
  17. @Joseph Maynor i don't know how sincere you are about this process, but you've been here for a while... your intellectual pride is off the roof. i'm not saying that you're not smart. you're way smarter than me. i'm just saying that you cannot go very far if you're that attached to the intellect. haven't you asked yourself why you get so triggered when someone claims to be more developed than you? what if i said that you're not enlightened, would you be able not to argue with me trying to prove otherwise? just a tip from a friend.
  18. i've achieved a few things up to my 25's without knowing law of attraction. the output was an anxious, tired, depressed, needy and neurotic guy. there is a way to achieve things within the flow state. in fact, i've achieved more on the last 4 years of my life than on the first 25 without spending nearly 1/10 of the energy i spent before. edit: i'll stop it here. i'm starting to sound dogmatic. these things have to be found by each person.
  19. @John Charles fundamentally, you cannot die. only what you think about yourself dies... if you let it go.
  20. yes. i have no emotional/mental/existential struggles. life feels great everyday. its been 3~4 years.
  21. @Tony 845 i am here for those in deep shit. maybe my experience can serve someone.
  22. find someone who's at least as interested in self development as you are. i found my wife in a workshop about vegan burgers and yoga. we started to know each other and we found out that both of us were deeply interested in self development. that's when we noticed that we should start a serious relationship. starting from a place of neediness and insecurity is not a legit motivation imo. extra/edit: if you are in a relationship where the fear of hurt is bigger than the thirst for truth, you're in serious trouble.
