ajasatya replied to Pelin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
i'm writing a book full of practical exercises that one can perform throughout regular days to achieve mental/emotional mastery. right after finishing the introductory chapter, when i was about to start writing the actual content of the book, a heavy rain of negative thoughts about the book started to fall. i waited for about 5 minutes and then the rain stopped so i could continue writing. i was able to see very clearly how those who are identified with thoughts would have probably given up at that moment. -

it's interesting but i don't think we're volunteers. i don't think we chose to help humanity in some other plan of existence. i think we choose it everyday as time goes on. i think we're the balancing result of complex "equations" that Life itself follows towards the expansion of consciousness. too many "i think"s and "i don't think"s. i'm babbling a lot of beliefs. -

that's even harder to comprehend. there's no way other than experiencing the very nature of reality. -

the best resource is yourself, really. nothing compares to direct experience. -
wonderful! you've had the chance to feel it! can you understand now? that gross layer of latent suffering must go away. otherwise it will crawl into your thoughts, words and actions 24/7.

yes. thoughts are located in a spectrum of higher frequencies of Reality and your confusion is a result of your attachment to such phenomena. sit down and let go of thoughts about thoughts. you may have seen enough for today already. -

@nexusoflife great words of sincerity. i hope you finish your book. there's a new kind of school arising. wouldn't you like to contribute to the education of our children? i agree with you. our current educational system is breaking down. -
@AilinKyung any human being suffers greatly if he craves for a loving partner. i'm not saying that you shouldn't do it. if that's what you feel, then do it. let nobody else tell you what you should do. but be sincere and honest with yourself. soon or later you'll realize that it's impossible to find happiness in someone else. it's not in your money, it's not in your social status, it's not in your relationships. i did something similar to what you want to do. but i can't deny the fact that i was being needy, which is a helpless mindset.

@AilinKyung warning: deep suffering incoming. get ready to experience the pain of growth.

nah, staying alive is just a simple task. and since we're alive, we're free to do whatever we want. the problem is that people cannot free them from themselves. free time feels like ultimate hell because they cannot get rid of the mental harassing self-talk. -
ajasatya replied to Principium Nexus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Principium Nexus it's not about doing nothing all the time. it's about living with the minimum amount of obligations and having LOTS of free time to do whatever. listening to people, drinking ayahuasca, dancing while singing the mahamantra with krishna devotees, practicing ashtanga yoga, contemplating, replying on this forum etc. my life can go on like this forever. my only obligation is to survive. and that's because i cannot choose otherwise, even though i've already tried. -

GREAT question. yes it's possible to be happy just working enough to eat enough, drink enough and sleep enough. this fulfillment would be based on nothing at all. it's one of the greatest wonders of life. -
ajasatya replied to Mike Bucur's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Mike Bucur huh, this is too deep. cannot be answered by someone else. instead, i'll give you more questions. what's matter made of fundamentally? what is reading this question? -
ajasatya replied to Costa7's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
try kundalini yoga. also check out the practices of krishna devotees. they're so kind! -
removing those "one cheat <event>" excuses is the hardest part. it's harder than cleaning gross impurities.

ajasatya replied to Costa7's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Costa7 i do apply it since i'm an yogi. it's too complex to talk about it in a few lines as i like to keep my posts short. i recommend that you find an yoga teacher and start practicing. you should experience an enormous increase in the quality of your life. instead of reading about it or asking people, experience and feel first. it's not like you're gonna take psychedelics. -

Reality has no substance. it's shockingly mystical. but its mechanics, the aspects of Maya, are like shadows of an extremely complex dance performance in which there's nothing dancing at all. -
@Ariel how am i supposed to achieve the perfection of an yogi if i eat on mcdonald's every saturday?

ajasatya replied to Viking's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
my life purpose is to get as much of life as possible every moment. most of the time, all i have to do is relax every muscle and open my ears, eyes, skin, nose, tongue and mind. life cannot go further than that. i do take part in ayahuasca ceremonies 2x per month and experience a lot of interesting stuff like ego death and raw reality. but mastering no control with the usual substances of the body feels much more liberating than those peak experiences. -
not just that. go live your life before you get too old. they won't change unless they suffer enough. and that's their problem. you don't need to give them a special reason. saying anything about them may sound like an emotional blackmail. you're a strong person. you're bigger than your past. go see the world. have you ever wondered how it would feel like to walk in solitude near hindu temples in india? this is just one possibility.

@Anirban657 mindfulness retreats like sesshins or vipassana. you have to train yourself to be present. it can't just be done in one go.

ajasatya replied to TJ Reeves's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
no. it's not a convergent series. theres no real number L for which lim_{n->inf} sum(-1)^n = L. -
i don't just agree with you but i also have something to add up to what you said. i think it's important that we understand where trash culture comes from. the so-called "artists" have been producing trash that's been largely accepted because society is drowning in spiritual poverty and suffering. it's important that we don't think we're better than them. it's actually crucial that we develop compassion for them.

it's off-topic but it's important to be spread: it is happening. -

be careful here. if you want to assume that the result of that sum is 0, then you have to describe its parcels more precisely. if you mean it to sum exactly 0, then the pattern should be said explicitly: "let's add an arbitrary number of +(1-1)'s", meaning that even though the number of 1's and the number of -1's are infinite, they are equally infinite because they grow in the same speed. it completely crashes step 4 because it's impossible to replace the brackets like that. that algorithm of replacement is incompatible with the fact that the number of 1's and -1's are the equal. edit: it's impossible to break arithmetics because it's built upon solid axioms. however, it's possible to notice its incompleteness. you might want to check out Gödel's incompleteness theorems for this.
