the healing that farming provides comes from becoming part of Nature and actually working with your hands. even if you want to have your own business, i highly recommend that you work with people that you hire. it's good for you and good for them. it's empowering and encouraging. Nature is very receptive when men behave and feel like brothers. because we are. i am sure there are substitutes. study study study. observe how forests grow where you live. that's what ernst gotsch did. and now he's the richest cocoa exporter in the world.

oh sorry. i thought you would be redirected to an english version of the site. syntropic farming is a different thing. we don't aim for particular crops. we aim for a rich forest that produces fruits and vegetables. in the process of growth, some plants are more resistant to the sunlight and they grow faster like corn and banana. they grow up first and protect the ones they grow up slower. why syntropic? it's the opposite of entropic. a syntropic system renovates its own energy levels. in a regular farming system we harvest less and less as time passes by. you need to spend money to nourish the soil over and over. in a syntropic system, it regulates itself. earthworms start to appear out of nowhere! it's beautiful. it requires a lot ot initial labor and manpower, but then nature takes over. how do we manage the system in order not to waste energy? pruning! it's the great revelation here. we chop entire banana trees (after they give us their fruits) and put them back on the ground. they decompose and fertilize the soil again. we do the same with eucalyptus, but we don't need to wait for fruits. we just practice pruning when the tree is strong enough. then the eucalyptus grows stronger and we do it over and over. the soil becomes a rich pool of organic matter. we do it in linear plots. there are the corridors where we can step and the corridors where we plant. watch this video for detailed visual instructions. interesting links: http://syntropicfarmsco.com/

@MiracleMan spiritual liberation REQUIRES discipline and mental training. improved ability to focus is the true transformation here. the rest is just a big dance of beliefs. get REAL. find a sangha where you live and practice with them religiously. by "religiously" i mean assiduously. practice with your heart for MONTHS. stop fucking around. -

here in south america we speak similar languages. in brazil we speak portuguese but in all other countries people speak spanish, which is similar to portuguese. you speak from a place of fear. very pessimistic. i speak from a realistic perspective. i speak about what i see, not about what i speculate. about my own experience, i am water. i fit almost anywhere, i don't eat much and i don't bug anyone. i teach zen and yoga. i help people with their diseases and eating habits. in my adventures, people i meet actually want me close by. they want to give me food and shelter. i never traveled abroad, but that wouldn't be a problem because the power of a good heart transcends all barriers. another good choice is traveling to ecovillages. ecovillages usually have structure to receive and shelter visitors. it's very common, you should give it a try. the usa have several ecovillages. -

travel light. take rides. stay in hostels and work as waiter and janitor. make money with public juggling. about the visa, the guy traveled ilegally. but that's something you can do differently. luxury is bondage. simplicity is freedom. -

i started to hang out with all kinds of people. and observing how they lived their lives, i noticed that i created my own cage. i thought i needed material/sexual abundance to be happy, but i saw happy people living with just enough. i realized that i was too worried to make money and didn't know how to make good use of it. i met a clown who only had his juggling material and a few clothes. and he had travelled to many countries and met a LOT of different people. and i was was attached to useless crap and was experiencing a crappy life. my first yoga teacher used to work at google. she was fat, had horrible eating habits, smoked a lot and had weak muscles. then she threw it all away and went to india to perfect her body. this is it... i advanced from 2 to 3 by going out and actually meeting new people. -

the buddha taught about anatta. for instance, the diamond sutta is one piece of true beauty! i don't know what to say of my story. it's way too long to be written in a post. -
ajasatya replied to egoless's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
not in my case. i did not choose to take a leap of faith. i didn't even have the chance to make a choice. so faith never motivated me. my existential anguish and suffering did. hitting the bottom of hell was my highest gift. -

no. i'm using relativity (words and concepts) as an attempt to reach your comprehension. if you really want to quench your thirst, you gotta do the job yourself for Truth can't be spoken. remember: there's no ultimate authority. you cannot rely on anybody else's words. faith is HELPLESS. questioning is HELPLESS. when i try to explain It to you, i am deliberately failing. -

you're a result of everything that's happened until NOW. everything before THIS MOMENT is part of your past lives. all of those dead people are your past lives. along with enlightenment, comes the conscious responsibility for what i do NOW. because i am a past life of countless beings. this is why i am planting forests. -
holy moly i'm so grateful! thank you so much for these pointers! aquaponics look AMAZING. and wageningen has online courses. i had never heard of it. thank you again.

beware. syntropic farming is something extremely new. if you want to learn how to deal with the soil healthily, you better not learn from universities. these popular institutions will indoctrinate you to practice devastating methods of farming, as they've been doing for centuries. this is why i posted about it here: Other Career Paths Than Studying? if you want to be integrated with the engine of Nature, you better learn from other sources. permaculture and agroforestry are the keywords here. self-teaching capabilities and willingness to practice are crucial aspects of the professional in this area.

@Phillip this is where i'm moving towards. i wanna earn money by healing earth's soils while gathering (lots of) food.

the phenomenom thought is part of Reality just like sound and light. they have no origin because Reality is a field of continuous impermanence so everything you name is actually a beginless/endless process of transformation rather than a "thing". ego is another "thing". -
because you're attached to some fucked up definition of winner.

ajasatya replied to Monkey-man's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Monkey-man there are those who have attained a mental comprehension about Truth and those who embody Truth. those who have attained a mental comprehension about Truth are ready to answer any question because they have learned to play with the words in order to look wise. they seem to know everything but it's still possible to sense struggle in them. those who embody Truth are on a completely different level. they feel oneness in their gut. they feel the suffering and the happiness of their brothers and sisters in their hearts. only those who embody Truth are capable of living accordingly to the words of jesus love your neighbor as yourself. they don't even obey jesus. that's just the way they live effortlessly. -

@Kallan daily practice: save a few minutes to be mindful of all of your attachments and let go of them. -
scientific laws are not undeniable truths. natural laws are. scientifc laws are a "poor" translation of Reality for the human experience. they are poor because they are not Reality and they will never be. and they are not poor because they're useful, practical (only!). and nobody should drop his intellect forever. our logical apparatus is WONDERFUL. just don't think that it's 100% reliable. it's even possible to have a mystical experience by dropping ALL beliefs and letting go of the intellectual pride. also, addressing what someone else said by "load of crap" is a very low attitude.

i am a mathematician i'm not saying that those theorems/postulates/formulas/equations are false. i am saying that they are true only if you assume a certain set of primary axioms, which are true by definition, not because of some fundamental and undeniable truth. and about physics, no. sorry. no (competent) physicist has ever claimed to have found a single undeniable/fundamental truth. the experiments can confirm that a formula works under some circumstances, but it's impossible to prove that Reality has those very mathematical formulas running behind the curtains. formulas, theorems etc are merely models for reality. they don't describe any objective truth and every scientist knows this very well. we simply build models that work. and i know that they work pretty damn well. not only they work well but we're working hard to make they work even better as time passes by. this why i'm able to pay the bills every month

this is the great ignorance. how can something that never even started have an end? what is it that dies? what is it that's perceiving these messages? what's it that's born? welcome to eternity (again).

there's only one way, which is changing yourself completely and having a good and healthy life. only then you might become a source of inspiration. trying to change others directly is one of the most ignorant approaches ever.
