Do you hold electronic devices near your lower stomach? I see a lot of people do that and complain about negative affects in that area. Just a thought. -

Oh boy you just opened a whole new can of worms....and might have unwittingly solved your dilemma Addictions will do that to you. Stay away from those things for awhile and see what happens. -

It was true in my life as well. At some point I had to sit down and ask myself why the heck some things had happened the way they did and the answer abundantly pointed at the ego. Not to dismiss the value of suffering, it became obvious the ego was what was causing it and when I saw through that, accepted, and surrendered, awakening happened. -

Anna, I was just going to mention RW too. Just shows intense suffering does not always lead to awakening. There must be other factors at play I guess. -

From what I know about JC he suffered plenty - years of depression, broken marriages and long term relationships, the suicide of his late girlfriend. His trade as a comedian was an escape from the intense suffering he endured for years. -

Jim Carey has been mentored by Eckhart Tolle and from what I can tell his awakening is legit. -
No solids the day after fasting. Eggs have 0 fiber and are NOT easy food to digest. Fluids like those mentioned above, broth and tea, are fine. I'd also do fresh juices/ shakes. You'd need to replenish your gut with good bacteria/enzymes after fasting, so yogurt would be a good choice as well. Get a list of the foods (leafy greens, for example) that are high in enzymes and use them in a smoothie. Also, fermented foods like sauerkraut will help quickly re-populate your gut with good bacteria too. I know they sell already made greens powder, but I don't know if enzymes in those are as potent as in fresh produce. Also, consider a couple of saline water flushes during your water fast. Delude 2-3 teaspoons of sea salt in 1 quart of water. Drink it first thing in the morning, try to finish in 15 mins. The goal is to put pressure in the intestines while the salt retains the fluids and keeps it from being absorbed into the walls of intestines. Stay close to the restroom for at least an hour after you drink it. This will not only unclog your gut, it will also cleanse and disinfect it from all the impurities. You'll feel so much lighter and better. I do it once a month and it's awesome.

@Angelo John Gage @outlandish Some of the things that I do for continuous detox - 80% of my diet is organic food from the earth (I also use chlorella in my daily smoothies), fresh juicing and fermenting, I only drink alkaline water, I make my own cleaning household and beauty products, I don't wear makeup, dry saunas weekly (for better perspiration), moderate work-outs and daily brisk walks, saline water flushes once a month, breathing exercises at the beach, etc.

I agree - our bodies are designed to extract toxins... but the environment these days is much more harsh with pollutans and more toxic stuff goes in than the body can push out. I'm not suggesting one should use detox products. But helping our body to cleanse with the help of clean diet, exercise, ditching bad habits, proper breathing, mindful living in general, etc is crucial imo.

That's what I do - a green smoothie or small snack of nuts and fruit for lunch, healthy dinner in the evening, and lots of clean water throughout the day.

I'll watch the vid when I get home, thanks. So all the junk that people digest with chemically laiden 'food' and water, inhale from polluted air, household cleaners, smoking, etc... all those toxins that go right into your blood, organs, cells and linger there to cause more health problems, should be left there? Is that what you're saying?
