Good one -

I hear different opinions on whether to peel some types of fruits/vegetables before eating or cooking. Some sources say to leave the peel on and that it's the most nutritious part, while others would advice to peel, because peel is a protective layer that absorbs 'bad' stuff from outside and shields the flesh from it. When I grew up, my Grandmother pickled watermelon peels and also made sugared zest from lemon peel, etc. And my Mom often makes pickled eggplant with skin on, a dish my taste buds find quite yummy C(: Do you peel apples, pears, carrots, potatoes, etc before you eat/cook them?

I knew this was going to get hit by a non-duality response

Less stuff, more space Less attachments, more freedom Less work, more life

I just ate a kiwi with 'fuzzy' skin on for the first time, wasn't as bad as I thought. The skin tasted kind of neutral, and blended nicely with the rest of the fruit, even adding some texture to its soft flesh. Definitely going to start eating kiwis whole from now on C(:

I agree. My attitude was not to fight cancer, but rather work with it. Cancer cells are part of the whole and fighting it would be like fighting against oneself. It's a metabolic condition and has to be addressed holistically. Going for a tumor with chemo would be like going after a rat by burning the whole house down. Those who choose that route would need to rebuilt the 'house' again from ground 0, but how many people do we know who would actually know to do that.

@Aeris What I was trying to say to the OP is instead of wishing what could or couldn't happen, to just enjoy reality at hand, with or without the big $$. Winning the lottery cannot even come close to the 'high' from 'drinking' of Being-ness (poetically speaking, so don't come for me ) -
Lets discuss the health benefits and pros/cons of different kinds of chocolate and why we crave it. Include cacao too.

What's with this recurring 'jumping of the bridge' theme? Sounds like something that you're unconsciously projecting onto others a lot. Back to the OP discussion or this thread will be locked. -

From the Absolute perspective, there is no one here to want anything. If I had cancer right now, it would be just as perfect, because what is is infinitely perfect. -

Yes, I'm cancer-free now. Lets not hijack this thread from its original purpose. You can start another thread about the things you'd like to talk about. Thank you for the kind words -

Cancer was a trial that brought me closer to awakening. It was a great teacher and wake-up call for me. Each of our paths is different and I'm grateful for all of my life experiences that ultimately led to God-realization. -

I am a cancer survivor and that whole ordeal I went through 6 yrs ago didn't stop me from living my life to the fullest. I kept working and doing things I love regardless of how I felt at times. Again, it all comes down to the level of one's psychological maturity, which is, again, a sign of how healthy one's IQ+EQ combination is. -

Are you even aware of your own black and white thinking and tendency to gross generalizations? Healthy IQ is important, but without equally healthy EQ this world as we know it is doomed to go bye-bye if not sooner than later. Spirituality is a major way to raise individual and collective EQ. This is not a work of "mindless" people (as you put it in one of your earlier posts), awakening is a highly intelligent design that in the end will save the earth from destruction. Do you see the bigger picture here? IQ and EQ go hand in hand in this work. If you study Spiral Dynamics, you'll see how each stage advances either or both. -

@GenuinePerspectiveXC EQ (emotional intelligence) is as, if not more, important than IQ. Work on yours. -

I used to live across from Turkey over the Black Sea in Odessa, Ukraine. Turkey is a good country to live in economically-wise. We had a lot of people immigrating there. And a relative of mine still works there as a nanny for a family and loves it.
