  1. Enlightenment is the end of the energy of seeking. It suddenly can vanish, suddenly be there no more. And what is left when the seeker collapses is completely unknowable and can't be described. But you could say in words that all that left when the seeking ends is which is already free-flowing unboundness
  2. "The ego is not a thing, but a subtle effort, and you cannot use effort to get rid of effort - you end up with two efforts instead of one. The ego itself is a perfect manifestation of the Divine, and it is best handled by resting in Freedom, not by trying to get rid of the ego, which simply increases the effort of ego itself." "The very desire to seek enlightenment is in fact nothing, but the grasping tendency of the ego itself, and thus the very search for enlightenment prevents it. The perfect practice is therefore not to search for enlightenment , but to inquire into the motive for seeking itself. You obviously seek in order to avoid the present, and yet the present alone holds the answer: to seek forever is to miss the point forever. You always already are enlightened Spirit, and therefore to seek Spirit is simply to deny Spirit." "As Hubert Benoit said, it is not the identification with the ego that is the problem, but the exclusive nature of the identification. When our self-identity expands beyond the ego, into the deeper psychic, then even into the Unborn and One Taste, the ego is simply taken up and subsumed in a grander identity. But the ego itself remains as the functional self in the gross realm, and it might even appropriately be intensified and made more powerful , simply because it's now plugged into the entire Kosmos." - Ken Wilber
  3. @Water Ken Wilber's integral school of knowledge recommend to work on developing your ego first in order to be able to transcend it. From that perspective, what you're doing makes perfect sense and could potentially get you ahead
  4. @jes If you have to be around a narcissist, you need to learn a technique called 'grey rock'. I use it at work and in life in general, and it works great. Here's how: P.S. And no, you won't become a narcissist by doing these techniques.
  5. Yes, but the body/ mind structure (ego) called 'I' will be gone for good. And that's what Tony Parsons was referring to.
  6. I've been actually wanting to translate your material for some time, but didn't know how to go about it . Sounds like a fun project. Thanks for the opportunity
  7. I'll look at it tomorrow. Is there any video in particular you'd like me to work on first or it's totally up to me?
  8. I can help with translating into Russian. Just need to figure out how to do it first
  9. @Cesar Peace of mind = being happy with what is
  10. I actually looked at those images using Leo's 'thought flattening technique' and didn't experienced any phobia/ disgust. Nice skill to have
  11. Most of those images are computer generated fake stuff, something you'd see at a special effects movie set
  12. @AbhishekDarak @Canadian "Death is the end of the illusion that there was someone." - Tony Parsons
  13. @abrakamowse I'd like to visit the place too.. next time you guys go, let me know.
  14. @Falk Here's a good talk by Eckhart Tolle on how to deal with unconscious people: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqr98O8QT3M
  15. @abrakamowse Abra, which ones in the group pic are you and Neil?
  16. That's not what I meant. Balance is important. If you watched Leo's vid on minimalism, you'd see my point.
  17. Thank you, any time
  18. @jes Leo has a video library on how to overcome insecurities: http://www.actualized.org/articles/the-power-of-self-acceptance http://www.actualized.org/articles/how-to-stop-judging-yourself http://www.actualized.org/articles/how-to-love-yourself http://www.actualized.org/articles/how-to-be-more-confident http://www.actualized.org/articles/self-esteem http://www.actualized.org/articles/low-self-esteem-in-women http://www.actualized.org/articles/understanding-the-authentic-self http://www.actualized.org/articles/how-to-stop-caring-what-people-think-of-you http://www.actualized.org/articles/how-to-stop-comparing-yourself-to-others http://www.actualized.org/articles/how-to-deal-with-criticism-trolls-and-haters
  19. @jes You're making the right decision by setting personal boundaries with your toxic Dad . No one has the right to control or own you, but yourself. I know it's hard, been there. Feel free to PM me any time. Hugs
  20. @Lorcan The stuff that seems unimportant that we learn in school build neuron pathways in the brain and expands our awareness. Education/ learning was one of the few items Leo listed in his must-have things in his recent video on minimalism, and for a good reason. That dead language you're talking about is part of your country's history and the 'father' of the language you speak now. If you're overwhelmed with your studies, try to un-clutter some of the other stuff out of your life - hobbies, hanging out with friends, family commitments, etc. http://www.actualized.org/articles/lifestyle-minimalism
  21. @jes This is a great channel to learn more about narcissism. He had a narc dad too. Hugs
  22. My ego tried to switch to a different activity, so those days I couldn't log in to the forum, I hit the gym and beach almost daily.
  23. So is the need for forum and posts
  24. @Neill My son had headaches for years and after he got detoxed with a help of a professional naturopath (took a few months), his headaches completely went away. They tested him before he started a detox program and found out there was an amount of heavy metals still in his body (he was 15 at the time) that childhood vaccines are loaded with. He does better at school now, has more energy, concentration, lost a few extra pounds with ease, and stopped getting acne. In my personal case, I had to have mercury (from the amalgam fillings), as well as nicotine (I was second-hand exposed to my dad's smoking as a child) detoxed. 25 years later nicotine had been still lingering in my body, even though I never smoked a single cigarette in my whole entire life. These are extreme cases, and yes diet/ exercise is overall the answer. When we were getting detoxed, a lot of formulas the naturopath was using contained chlorella. I still use it daily in my green morning smoothies for continuous detox from environmental and food pollution.
