  1. Thanks! This body-mind organism called Natasha went to Busch Gardens recently... even though there is no coming or going, no past or future and every day is like 'now'. 'Looking good' is just happening, considering nothing is really neither 'good or 'bad', except for which the mind makes it
  2. 'Sand'/ 'substance' are just a metaphor to give an example. They, of course, don't do justice, because what we're talking about here is something that's unknowable and un-describable and primal to any concept. Leo called it 'Pure Transparent Empty Awareness' in his video on the enlightened self - impersonal, timeless, boundless, meaningless, and completely mysterious to the human mind. Edit: Just saw your response to Cetus56 about relativity in another thread. Terms 'duality' and 'non-duality' simply refer to the perception of separateness/ conceptual boundary vs non-separateness, like that sand castle being sand or a wave being ocean (metaphors). No one's arguing on the matter of dimentionality at all.
  3. @IronFox "Don't look for consciousness where there's unconsciousness", - Eckhart Tolle Here's his talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqr98O8QT3M Hugs
  4. It's a subtle shift in perspective. Example: you see an object sitting on the beach. You get closer, it's a sand castle. Is the sand castle separate from the sand? No. As matter of fact, the castle IS sand, it just looks like it's separate. You're self-realized/ awaken when you realize that everything (including yourself) is one substance (sand, in our example) manifesting/ experiencing itself as object reality (sand castle, in our example). Right now you are that sand castle thinking to be separate from sand. But the shift would allow to 'see' yourself as the castle being merely what it is - sand. A simple recognition, nothing earth shattering
  5. I just found this post of Leo's in the thread Reality Vs Illusion that might be of insight: "They can be used to aid one another. Use both! You can use illusion to find the truth and embody the truth. As long as you're alive, you're in the playground of illusion. So learn to play with it."
  6. @bazera As Eckhart Tolle said, "Don't expect consciousness where there is unconsciousness". Here's his talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqr98O8QT3M I would also start planning my moving out of the parents' house and getting a place of my own. Hugs
  7. Leo called it Pure Transparent Empty Awareness in his The Enlightened Self video. That would be even more primal than light energy or vibrations, and unknown to a human mind.
  8. @Alex K What part of Russia are you from? I'm originally from Odessa, Ukraine. My maternal grandmother came from Siberia in the early last century. She was a tough Russian lady. That's awesome that you're getting serious about meditation routine. Meditation is not limited to just sitting, you can meditate while walking, during commuting, and even while working. I've learned to turn my thinking mind off and on at will and to go without thinking for some stretches of time. This can be done anywhere and at anytime in the day. For headaches I would recommend to clean up your diet first. That means no processed foods/ beverages/ alcohol, avoiding gluten products, dairy, refined sugar, hydrogenated oils, etc. Consume more fresh veggies and fruit, clean water for adequate hydration, hormone-free fish/ meats.. Also natural supplements like fish oil, curcumin, vit B-12, Alpha Lipoic Acid + fat soluble form of B-1(Benfotiamine) is also a good combination for brain health. Exercise every day is a must, as well as stress busting techniques, which meditation is the main one. Also, consider a full body detox: http://blogs.naturalnews.com/total-body-detox-how-to-purify-your-life-mind-and-soul-2/
  9. If you resonated with her, you will with Tony Parsons as well. Their style is unique - they don't teach, they communicate.
  10. @EvanAndrew Cory Wayne has info on everything you need to know about relationships and dating for guys (he digs deep into psychology and self-improvement too). Check out his YT channel and his book.
  11. @MarkusR Self-realized still have shadow work to do, and it doesn't happen overnight.
  12. Presence in the midst of the 'noise'. Very beautiful reminder. Thank you for sharing
  13. Same here.. peaceful day, peaceful life Being alone doesn't have to mean loneliness.
  14. @Greatnestwithin The stages of enlightenment video is not out yet. Leo mentioned he was just working on making one. So stay tuned.
  15. @Greatnestwithin After the shift happens, the perspective will keep deepening. Leo is working on the stages of enlightenment video, that would be a cool one to see. Also, Ayla's thread "Mind Attacks After Initial Seeing' is an excellent tool to newly awakened, check it out as well:
  16. @Greatnestwithin Sounds like you had your aha moment There's also a similar parallel discussion is going on in the thread below, starting towards the end of page 3 and page 4, you might find helpful:
  17. No, it's just what's happening and it's perfectly fine
  18. @Orange In the following interview Tony Parsons gives simple and insightful answers to the questions you're asking, and more:
  19. @Orange There is no 'self' to wake up. And since 'you' don't exist, the one waking up is the one that does everything. People call it 'God', the Source, the Void, the Absolute, etc. If there's no 'you', what's that's in here is what's everywhere. What is it that believes it's separate? The Absolute that's experiencing itself as a separate being. Then what is it that would wake up? The Absolute experiencing itself as someone who woke up. But underneath all of these illusions (the one who's still asleep and the one who woke up) - it is also just the Absolute. It's without limit, time, unending, etc. There is nothing that is not that, that is everything. It's all just the one manifesting as an image/ form that looks like something separate. It's like a sand castle. I built the sand castle and that castle is not a separate thing from the sand. It just looks like it is. But what is it made of? Sand and nothing more. That's a bit like what it is. There is nothing 'you' can do to make the shift happen. It's just what happens. 'You' are not the doer. What's happening right now is simply what the Absolute is doing in 'your' name. And see if you can find the illusion of yourself, of this thought that you are in any way separate from what is happening around you. There is no one to know anything. The truth is what's left after the 'seeker' is no more.
  20. @so here we are Lisa Cairns is awesome. This is my favorite talk of hers about non-duality:
  21. English is @Linas' second language, doing a good job. Looks like he's still learning how to spell-check, though
