  1. Western mind set tool for the depressed, stressed and lonely world of westerners. It's a way of forcefully overiding their negative behavior, or to stop being negative towards themselves. If you think it will help you try it out. I think practicing gratitude and seeing how many things actually do go your way is a much better way to overide negative tendencies. "oh look I have shelter, a bed to sleep in, food to eat, water, ability to shower, a job to get paid, a car that works and drives me to work" etc. etc.
  2. I might have misjudged you, you totally resembled sarcasm, my bad if I did, apologies. Yes i think there is a good reason why so many spiritual schools practice discipline, and leo in his recent videos has mentioned strong discipline is very important a few times. Its not simple, I've studied a lot about it but theres no simple solution. I think expecting it to be simple is a mistake. But then again I spent too many years being a gamer and messing about on the internet, my brain is completely messed up on stimulus. For internet problems i use "Cold turkey" blocker. For gaming, if you have addiction (play for multiple hours compulsively) then I think you need to quit indefintely, whenever I pick games up again I become addicted, I can't do moderation. I can only do moderation when important things are in the way like a "job" i can't moderate on a free day for example. The more you feed the beast the worse it gets, you need to starve it. I got over social media easily by deleting all my friends off it, now I don't have any desire to post anything or look up what others are doing, sacrafices were made, temporary closure of account didnt work, but deleting friends left me in a situaiton where I couldn't add them all back without it being awkward and bothersome. I feel like discipline is the no.1 factor in life, to say you going to meditate for the next 24 hours and actually do it. etc. To do anything you put your mind to without having contradicting thoughts and ego backlash.
  3. Yeah but what about the non-group enlightened people? Think ramana maharshi but without you know... getting popular or a following.
  4. Yeah yeah. It was so obviously sarcastic, be more subtle next time You could disagree with me, im just pointing out my opinion, you dont seem to think distractions is a real thing. I do.
  5. Good, your butthurt and your sarcastic now, shall i turn on troll mode now and we can argue?
  6. Actually if you have a compulsion to do it then you can see it as a negative / wrong thing to do. For example your higher self wants to do X (your business work). But you keep succumbing to Y or Z (entertainment / procrastination). Then the obvious would be to see it as a negative and remove it from your environment. For example a doughnut is not evil per se, its fine, in fact in the worse situation it can feed you and help you survive. But if your mum puts doughnuts out 2-3 times a day and you see and eat it you will get obese, and ill with diseases in the long term. The key is to be able to see that doughnut, and push it away and never eat it, thats what internet entertainment is like. How many people have the power to do that? Wouldn't it be better if there just wasn't any doughnuts in the house, and if you wanted one you would have to walk a mile? Kids and young adults dont have the wisdom to do that, if they had many years of such entertainment that it's pretty much ingrained into their behavior, goodluck. Honestly its like saying Heroine and cocaine isn't evil, which is true, if left alone, but the fact is it does and will become evil for most people.
  7. Fair enough, If it works for you. But I'll let a popular mystic say what I tried to say.
  8. I used to do a gaming channel I grew to 400 subscribers in about a month and even got approached for a 3rd party partnership (The people who dealt with gaming video copyrights at the time, which I didnt reply to) but I gave up the one thing that never stood well with me is: "I'm not mastering anything." Mastering one game, putting 10,000 hours into it only for it to age, rot, and be thrown aside as "outdated", no thanks. Editting videos, basic skill level, after a while you redoing the same thing and not learning anything, your not going to become a movie editor or special effects artists just practicing youtube videos (unless your making very time consuming, special effects videos). Entertainer, nope, entertainers work on their craft, actors practice acting, they read scripts over and over they work on their emotions and behavior, everyone from comedians to stage performers all spends hours on their craft YouTuber and Twitch gamers don't, they turn on the camera and tada! "this is just me!" The majority of work these guys do outside of playing video games is marketing themselve, convincing people to follow them and watch them, that their time watching them is "worth it". You're essentially wasting people's time, these people who turn up twitch channel etc are usually the people who need the most help, they are the most depressed, isolated/lonely , introverted, looking for an escape from reality types of people. And the thing that will help them the least is "watching someone play video games" but they see it as a positive because the illusion is that it offers them an escape from their problems, but it doesn't fix any problems, most of these people are young adults who are choosing gaming and staying at their parents basement over moving out and getting a career. Gamers are as low as consciousness as it can get, and I say this as a gamer, we are some of the most tunnel visioned people, easily manipulated to play games for hours for "skins" or "unlocks" not realising we will not even be playing this game 1-2 years from now, gamers are the easiest crowd to bait and hook on a fishing reel, but we tend to think we are clever, we are not. Just spend some time watch twitch.com for a few weeks and take notes on the channel and people, you will realise how toxic people are, from the host to the general chat. Success is a lottery game, as in it doesn't have much of a linear progression, you can have someone whos been doing a decent job for years averaging 200 viewers and then you can have a new guy who just hits off with his niche / styles and gets more success than you can ever imagine. So if anyone says I want to be a famous YouTuber or Twitch streamer it's the same as saying "I'm going to win the lottery, that's what I'm counting on". But hey you're only doing it in your free time for fun, then sure why not, it's just a hobby in your free time, most of what I'm saying is for those people who are "putting all their eggs into it as a career". But if you are secretly wishing to be a full time streamer/channel then all I said should be considered.
  9. Pretty sure someone is creating lots of alt accounts though, the same agenda with the same personality is constantly popping up in the forums.
  10. This is true, anyone who watches Leo should be able to see through this already, he always plugs at the end of the videos with statements such as looking down on you saying "how much you lack and how much you need to learn still", and "to keep up with the videos" or that "you will get left behind", etc, etc. The plugs at the end are very obvious and anyone who can't see it is simply blind. But I still like Leo's videos they are good entertainment and educational, he's bullshit is better than most bullshit. And he's better than most people out there, content wise, so your rant against him isn’t' really justified. I just don't like his approach of how everyone needs to live the exact same life as him and learn everything he has learned and read all the books he has and replicate everything, for example an artist (or other time consuming careers) just isn’t going to have enough time to follow Leo fully. haha yeah I noticed that too, he's kind of saying everything is real and true lately/now, lots of bizarre stuff. Best way to follow Leo is not to fall into some of the traps, you should cherry pick what teachings will benefit you the most. I do NOT recommend to do EVERYTHING that Leo tells his audience.
  11. You can feel immense love by meditating on it, just simply put awareness on love. Just meditate looking at a beautiful flower in the park, etc. I dont need to tell the flower I love you <3 <3 <3 Are you getting good reactions/results by telling everyone "you love them"? Or are you only using it with your family / partner / hippy circles (this forum) etc?
  12. Fair enough, and I don't agree either. The definition of superficial love. Maybe practice telling the people that, and see how they feel about it, maybe they will tell you not to say it unless you mean it. You need to get the place of smiling genuinely not forcing a smile, you're just changing cosmetics. When you're genuinely smiling you will find your not in the mirror looking at yourself (forcefully expressing love quotes and emoji's). "Fake it till you make it" isn't a really a good advice in my opinion. Sounds like stage orange or red stuff, maybe that's what all the gurus did haha
  13. The gurus and mystic are wise enough to know its a personal affair and don't need to play a masquerade of love to show the world how lovely dubbly they are (kisses <3 Love <3 ). Someone pointing the middle finger at everyone, at all times and saying "fuck you" is also equally valid to the present moment, playing the affection and love card is just another swing of the pendulum. It's still recommended not to point the middle finger in society. The same way people don't need to know your love affair to a certian person, and you don't need to express love forcefully in every sentence, keep it personal, keep it real. The real already know it, the fakers try to show it to others.
  14. Not directing this at anyone but: When spiritual people talk about love they talking about seeing all things as one. What they are not talking about is people jumping around in rainbows and butterfly's and constantly saying love, love, love, I love you and making silly signs <3 <3 <3. That's why you don't see the best gurus/mystics acting like that. In fact in doing so you create more negativity from the lower stages of spiral dynamics (below green).
  15. Walter's character is not simple, he usually kills bad guy's when he's forced to and he tolerates a lot of bullshit (Jess) before he turns on them too. The worse thing he done was poisen a child but it seemed like he knew he would recover and not die. Walter was having a mid life crisis, he was bored with his life, hated his jobs, felt insignificant, betrayed by previous partners. he had a disbaled son, was running low on cash and the breaking point was he found out he had cancer and wasn't going to live much longer. So he went into his passion which was chemistry and science but to make fast gains and business turn to the drug scene. But in the end he sacraficed himself to get rid of bad people for revenge, saved Jess from torture, and managed to take care of his family cash wise, there was acts of even selflessness. But yes his overall character I would say was Orange, seeing as he was a science person, cared about success and money for the majority of the show. There was elements of red but he was mainly Orange, he did not show much signs of Green or Turquoise.
  16. Yes it's called ego, you have a higher self that wants to grow and a lower self (ego) that wants you to stay so the ego can maintain itself and the illusion. It's normal this is not unique to you but to humanity. Out of these two wolves good vs bad the one you feed the most grows and wins. Start to gradually starve the big bad Wolf and feed good Wolf more. Brains likes repitetive patterns and pathways if you always do negative stuff you will default to that.
  17. And the ego said "I'll turn every thing into a spiritual practice so I can do all the crap I want but label it as otherwise such as mindfulness or being present crap" If it doesn't burn the ego, it's not anything spiritual. When the ego is screaming/crying to give up or move for example in a determined sitting you know you're doing it right.
  18. And more hair.
  19. What do you mean by judgement through, this is complex, just seeing someone acting suspiciously on the street like a mugger and avoiding them is also a form of judgement, and it's a survival tool and awareness. If you're talking about liking people, forget it, do not try to like people, Eckhart tolle says he moves away from difficult people on buses, rupert spira says you love everyone but that doesnt mean you need to like them. Sahdguru says he has no problem with you being negative but he won't stay next to you, so all these gurus are saying they have preferences, isn't that a form of judgement? Would force yourself to eat and like marmite if you hate it? Is it important that you must like it? So I think its normal to judge people in a given situation, but you shouldn't sit and dwelve on it for long peroids because: how does thinking about it make it better? Just forget about it, and if you're stuck with seeing these people you judge then you have 3 options. Accept it, surrender to being with them and the difficulty. Change it, try to change them, yourself or the environment to make the situation better. Remove yourself from it, get away from them, and don't see them anymore.
  20. Expanding on the what Ramana Maharshi said about reality being like a Cinema Screen, you being the screen itself but mistakenly identifying with what's being displayed on the screen instead. But you see with most movies what's being portrayed wouldn't make sense to us from an egotistical point of view, because it's jumping from scene to scene from character to character, the camera is hanging from empty spaces, for the illusion to work you must have consistency. You must be one camera man with a consistent PoV. Now watch the below clip in full screen and keep these things in mind: The screen fully encapsulates your entire field of view, it’s like better than VR goggles. (it’s not just your monitor screen) Due to the limitation of our technology we can only use sight and sound, but imagine you can also feel, taste, smell, and see what this character is thinking. Your true nature, consciousness (the knower, or witness, the thing that makes experiences "known") does not have an ego, right now you're an ego watching an actor's ego, whilst if you were pure consciousness you could only identify with the actor’s ego. So one of the questions we get stuck on is why this particular PoV? why not another PoV? Truth is if reality is infinite you will experience all the PoV's of the characters in this movie, including the beast's, but also everything else within infinity. Then if you contemplate your death, where the ego structure and the brain will die, and the memories will fade, you will understand there is nothing that will keep evidence of what happened, meaning after death it's like none of this happened, there was never a you, nothing was ever experienced, the same way you have no pass recollection of any other lives perviously to this one. PS. I think this clip is good at pulling the watchers attention into the thrill. Got to love that ending too with the ego saying: "OH GOD, OH MY GOD, PLEASE GOD, PLEASE GOD, JESUS CHRIST, I'M SORRY, I'M SO SORRY, PLEASE GOD". As death approaches, So fitting
  21. Yeah, that was one harsh father, "can you think of one time that I made you proud?", "nothing that I can think of" whilst on his death bed . No wonder he got cancer, he is cancer.
  22. Ok its been like 3-4 years since I started watching Leo's stuff, and at first I really got into his stuff because I was watching motivational things but around that time Leo started getting heavily into spirituality which I followed into my own practices. But I think the spiritual practice kind of backfired and killed my egocistal desire that was building up, I mean truth be told I was always somewhat lazy, I had a bad upbringing with a step mother and was kind of isolated to my own bedroom and I got heavily into video games as child which was an escape for me, but in return it made me lazy, I mean i wasn't lazy I put a lot of effort and energy into the games I played but it was wasted energy with no returns. Not to mention but I also had poor nutrition, lack of attention by others and i had learning difficulty as a child I'm pretty sure I had dyslexia growing up but no one bothered to get me help or a checkup. Also I was overly a negative person but spirituality helped me somewhat in that sense. Anyway I just can't seem to get this hard working mentally going, it's like every time I take 1 step forward I take 2 steps back its really ANNOYING me, I don't want to be a passive monk and do nothing all day, I actually want to excel at somelike like in my Arts but I'm too fucking lazy, seriously, nothing helps me. I'm progressing so slowly I'll be dead by the time I do anything with my life. I also can't find any jobs or anything because the industry is shit here in the United Kingdom and if you ain't the BEST artist and you're not willing to work for £15K a year or minimum wage then no job for you basically. I've been doing short term side jobs that are awful (warehouse work, security, etc). I try to create daily positve habits and do the things I read up, (theres too many tips to integrate all of them) but I get ego backslash and cower back into a comfort zone. I get burnt out too easily and get frustrated with the long journey ahead of me. Working/Studying from home and in front of my computer also doesn't help with the distractions. Any hardcore tips I could integrate? Anyone was like this who changed their life around??? Or am I destined for failure due to my fate and gene pool?!! Why do I suck so bad at life? Here's a few samples of work btw if anyone is interested:
  23. Ok I tried to clear up the trash talk and take the main useful points from everyone, and get rid of the garbage and negative talk. (Thanks every for the useful contributions). There was so much toxicity and negativity and simple wrong and false "facts" like: "I don't know a single good artist that is actually good who struggles with motivation to paint, draw or study". When all you need to do is YouTube Artist burnt out videos to see some famous artist like Jazza crying on YouTube about burn out. Breakdown: DocHoliday: Regain COMPLETE and FULL responsibility and ownership over. See yourself as a winner in life, You create your entire reality all by yourself, including your beliefs Scholar: You believe that you cannot face bad feelings, feeling helpless. Visualize the bad feelings as a dragon that is actually trying to scare you from what you need to do, and then simply sit down and try to scare the dragon away. The dragon will always come back every day. Just force yourself, See discomfort as a challenge, the worse it feels, the better. You simply need to face it and embrace the suffering, every single day. There is no easy fix "Good." mentality: Jacko, Leo Video most uncomfortable thing (both seen) Mad Cat: Spiritual Bypassing. (probably not the case for me) Isabel: Limited beliefs, change them. Nahm: Dedication to being the observer for many days. (more mindful meditation, meditate my way to mastery lol) Consider psychedelics (something I would try but illegal and a hassle) Eleveneleven: Brute forcing it does not work. (long-term) Needed a reason. No reason was ever good enough to do anything. The root problem was that I simply didn't give a shit. The answer was weirdly counter-intuitive: it was to never have a reason to do the things I did. To never become attached to any end goal in particular. It was to look deep inside and see what was naturally blossoming inside of me creatively--what I naturally wanted to do--and accept whatever that was without judgement, even if it was nothing. I stopped judging myself for being lazy, this body began to produce stuff spontaneously. There was little effort involved after that. It was like swimming downstream. Judgement and ulterior motives will block you creatively like nothing else will. Etagnwo: Thoughts are just thoughts come out of their mind (meditate my way to mastery lol) To bring ambition back then maybe stop living in your head and just start living in the nowness? (be more present)
  24. Sir you are mentally ill. Please show me your artwork. Because everything you type is trash, im done being nice. Thanks, how pathetic i wouldn't be surpised if you're an alt account of someone in particular.
