  1. I said Osho and Sadhguru might not be fully enlightened because I'm skeptical if they have experienced Infinity during meditation. When a person succeeds in Raj yoga, they can experience Absolute Infinity/God/Spirit directly. That's what the traditional definition of liberation is. Have all the spiritual teachers experienced that? Highly unlikely. lol
  2. @onacloudynight Maybe you can find someone who has fully awakened their kundalini to guide you. Did you experience a painful/burning sensation in your spine? Not the normal kind of pain but something different?
  3. He said he was an entertainer. He only talked about Eastern philosophies for fun.
  4. The enlightenment that Science & Non-duality talks about might be a watered down version. Enlightenment doesn't come in stages; either the ego is completely destroyed or not. That doesn't mean what they are saying is wrong, you can still learn from them. Enlightenment is also NOT a simple realization that awareness is ever present. That only leads to intellectual gymnastics. Enlightenment is when the mind/ego is destroyed and you experience Absolute Infinity; not just believe in it but experience it. It's not intellectual at all. In my opinion, approximately 1,000-2,000 people might be fully enlightened right now out of 7 billion. Most of them are not famous and they won't broadcast it. They won't be able to talk about it with anyone. They can be Sufi mystics, Christian mystics, Zen masters, and anyone from any culture. Even Osho and Sadhguru might not be fully enlightened. I'm not trying to say enlightenment is so rare, one shouldn't try to attain it. I think striving to attain it is great, and can improve one's life very much. It's like Alan Watts says, "Brahman reveals itself to certain people at times and they know who they are."
  5. Here is video by Mr. Lakhani. He is a professor at Eton College in England. His background is in Physics but he teaches Hinduism. People ask him about moksha and he answers them.
  6. No I think some people are genuinely good hearted and some aren't. They just don't realize they're incarnations of God. It's okay if they never realize it, isn't it? Most people can't relate to something like this because our spiritual side is very subtle.
  7. I understand but there are many good people living through the ego. The dream state can also be fun sometimes. You said after Buddha, Indians became passive but during the times of Krishna people weren't passive. Some sages were also assholes. If Krishna was liberated, why wasn't He passive? I believe he was a real person but the story has some exaggerations.
  8. That surprises me because I don't think it's necessary for everyone to be liberated. That poses more questions in my mind but I'm not sure if I should ask them here.
  9. The role of your life purpose is different from the ego roles you created. If you genuinely pursue your life purpose and dominate it, you can become enlightened through that. You can perform any activity and if you become completely engrossed in it, you get a glimpse of the true reality.
  10. All 4 of them lead to non-duality. Yes, it's possible to mix all 4 and master them.
  11. @PureExp He knows what you're saying, but in this video he is only talking about Raja yoga. He says that Kapiel was before Vyasa and all of those other dudes. I don't know what's right, I'm just posting the video for fun. I think part of the problem is that India's consciousness was lower that's why the British were able to destroy many things. Although many things of the culture remained intact but many were lost. "Hindus" also don't believe in converting or conquering, but that doesn't mean we have to take abuse from anyone.
  12. I'm not saying you're wrong, but what you describe here is what Brahman is. The Buddhists just use different terminology.
  13. @Mondsee I would recommend having sex before enlightenment because your lust will decrease after enlightenment. You will still be able to tell if a man is hot but it won't be from a lustful perspective.
  14. @Barna During the experience, do you become aware that inorganic matter is also conscious? Or is it only living organisms who are consciousness?
  15. Celibacy is right for you if you don't have a natural desire for sex. You shouldn't become celibate just because you are fearful of relationships. I think it's wrong to suppress your desires because you can go crazy. Temporary celibacy is alright if you want to love yourself before someone comes along. You're here to experience everything so you can definitely handle romantic impermanence.
  16. I think the ego is just a bunch of mental constructs we have accumulated throughout our life. We behave a certain way in certain situations, we were conditioned by our parents, we have all the ideas about right or wrong, etc. It shapes our identity in a certain way. Then we believe we are such and such person. When we become fully congruent we don't have all of these mental constructs left and it makes meditation much easier. The ego can only be dissolved during meditation or samadhi after rigorous discipline. During a samadhi experience we realize we are everything and nothing at the same time. That is not to mistaken as the ego's experience because there is no ego left during that. The ego can come back and try to make sense of what happened. Our identity itself is the Spirit expressing itself, so it can't go away until death. Yes it's possible to live without the mental constructs but your identity we remain.
  17. @Razvan It's not possible to understand ego death until you experience it. Whether we live with ego or not, we will always be God. God doesn't give a shit about what we do through the ego. If we want to be miserable, God says, "Okay." If we want to have sex, God says, "Okay." It's just that living through the ego brings less happiness because we are chasing things outside ourselves. I could be wrong, I don't know.
  18. @Baz My advice to you is going to sound crazy but I'm going to give it anyway. If you can afford to, take some time off work and don't do anything for a few months. You've been doing what society has told you all your life, so you feel like you can't be yourself around hot chicks. During this time just approach as many women as you can. They don't have to be hot. You don't have to ask them out just do some small talk. Slowly you will lose the fear. LOL
  19. Ego self- 0% free will- It feels obligated to do certain things. It has an illusion of free will. True self-100% free will- It can surrender to life so it has lots of creative potential. It knows it creates its own reality. Along my earlier journey, I felt like I "had" to do things. As my awareness rises I don't feel like that anymore. I realize that I created my whole reality. We need money to put food on the table, but other than that, we can do whatever the fuck we want. Everything else is just a cultural construct. It's made up by people who want to protect their ego. We feel "have" to do things because we are affected by other egos. lmao
  20. @Loreena Yes, because sex helps us to produce more life. Everything we do is spiritual. In certain forms of yoga it's necessary to remain celibate. Ashtanga yoga requires celibacy because the goal is to awaken the kundalini energy which is our dormant sexual energy. If one has sex they lose sexual energy and that delays the kundalini awakening. It depends on what method one chooses to use for enlightenment.
  21. We have taken on the limitations of the body/mind to survive in the material world. It's not possible to understand through logic because there is a lot of paradoxes. If you try to understand it, you won't be happy. Just as Arman said, it's a game. Even the concept of God is so abstract that it's impossible to teach people.
  22. I used to watch porn more often in the past. As my awareness increases, I don't have any desire to watch. I would rather be the one having sex.
  23. The ego is the inauthentic part of us. Our natural personality always remains because that's how Consciousness expresses itself. If someone is naturally an asshole they won't change. (not talking about Martin but in general)
  24. I mean you could be experiencing samadhi and your neighbor could be taking a shit. If we are all connected, why do we wake up at different times? Some people say that it's not an experience, but if it wasn't experience, it would remain an intellectual belief wouldn't it? Yes, I know that all experience is created by consciousness. If you think about it, experience is the only thing you have. Your whole life is experience; even thoughts are a part of the experience. I'm not saying anyone should chase enlightenment, I'm just asking this for fun.
