Leo almost killed me today, I really didn't handle well when he said "Stay with emptiness" Intense fear came up in a matter of seconds, and I instantly distracted myself by putting a meme on the forum and annoying a friend. I think I'm subconsciously holding me back on this, I'm pretty sure that I could awaken in an instant if I was totally honest with myself. Each time something like this happen, some layer of untruth is seen though, like I can't unseen the fear and the retraction that happened. It's as if I knew that If let go in that instant, I couldn't go back, at least that's how it feels. It's almost ironic in a sense, because almost everything I do everyday is about waking up, and when I see that I reject it that fast it makes me facepalm everytime I think I'm screwed

Because when you can finally do it, you realized you're fucked and it's the end of you on the mid long term. It's fear of discovering that you are a fake, fear to realize your true nature. Until you accept on some level that you may not exist as an ego, you can't live in the moment. You can't accept to be present if it means feeling there is nothing there while you're still attached to your sense of self. Every single time it will be rejected.

The idea that your spiritual growth is linked to isolation and ashram stuff is a myth. If you're more uncomfortable continuing to live a western life, that is the best path, life is the path. It won't stop throwing at you challenges, and those are the real lessons, not to hide yourself in a cushy ashram doing nothing all day. Study the story of enlightened masters, they weren't avoiding life. Their students though ...
