Yes and no. Consciousness work will show you that you don't need anyone to feel loved and that suffering comes from thoughts. You don't need to be enlightened to remove most if not all of your suffering. Unless you spiritual bypass the things you need to work on in your life, there is no reason not to become more conscious and eventually awaken.

Consciousness work solved all my "problems". Didn't mean it was easy though, still had to face all my fears and do practical real life changes.

Yes it's totally normal. Allow yourself to make some pause if it's too extreme though, don't force it. Now don't use the "make some pause" as an excuse to (almost) never meditate again though. On the other side of the suffering there is great peace, to such an extent that you won't even be able to worry about anything at some point

Yes I know, I don't mean romantic love either, It was a bad example I guess. I mean the kind of ecstasy/acceptance/good will that you can have on a really good day, while walking in the forest afterwards (random example). That kind of "love", it surely is there all the time, but we have (unconscious) mental barrier of "should" to feel it.

Teachers wants you to awaken and stop suffering, so they'll tone down a lot of the fluffy, shiny stuff about spirituality to focus on what will really help you. Mystical experiences and raising of energies are all nice and dandy, but they don't do shit about your emotional being, And most often than not, distracts you from the path and make you believe you made it.

And you stop putting women on a pedestal, or thinking you need them on a subconscious level. Like right now, she needs to put massive intellectual/spiritual value for me to even entertain the idea of a relationship, it's not enough to have a pretty face and nice boobs/ass, even if she's a 10.

This is a question I'm asking myself quite often. Why not feeling love all the time, if this is creating inside of me, Then surely I must be feeling it all the time, but are blocking it in some way. There is no reason why being near a girlfriend for a night make you love, then the next day without her around you there is nothing.

The only things that will be stripped away is the neurotics and not authentic motivations you have. You won't miss them, and if you fear that, then that means you actually wants to suffer.
