The real question is if the op is ready to wait that long for one guy that might not even be that great relationship wise even if he take cares of that. There is other guys that are ready right now, and more relationship wise than that guy, so why wait ? Doesn't mean she can't help him as a friend, and truly love him like that, but if she wants a deep intimate relationship, she must let go of him in that way, otherwise it's a signal of deep and dysfunctional attachment from her part, And if it is that, then she is not really ready for a healthy relationship either.
