  1. Was she the one from 10 years ago?
  2. @zurew I'm not opposed to helping others. What I don't get is, how can you strive in a dream that you are aware is a dream! For most people, it would suck the motivation right out of them.
  3. The point is, can you work 60 hours a week and at the same time be aware that you are hallucinating this reality
  4. I haven’t really brought that point up, but I love how we have taken as dogma that Buddha and Jesus were enlightened. It seems to be the religion of this forum. I have not seen strong evidence that either of them (especially Jesus) were enlightened to the Solipsistic nature of reality.
  5. Do you really think that someone can run for president without losing awareness that they are in a dream? It would be the first time it happened in human history.
  6. I understand why he would teach. That makes sense. It is easy to remain aware of the truth when you are teaching it. What doesn’t make sense is why you would run for president, become a boxer, or start a fortune 500 company. To do the above would require that you completely forget that you are in Maya and pretend that it is real. In essence you are inflating your ego by believing the false reality it created.
  7. ‘He is useful to others’ As someone who cares about the truth, I want to ask you if there are really ‘others’ to be useful to. And if not, where will the motivation come from?
  8. In other words, you choose to get sucked into Maya. This is where we part ways. I absolutely prefer to stay conscious of the non-existence of this world.
  9. Again I fully understand your argument and it makes sense but there's no denying that if we focus on the illusiory world we will not be aware of its state of illusion. I haven't figured out how to live fully in the world and at the same time be aware that it is pure illusion and it is not real at all.
  10. I'm not disagreeing with the above. It's just that your answer is within Maya and I am asking why we should get even more sucked into Maya. The reality is if we focus on the illusory world we will lose awareness of the actual Reality. It is extremely difficult to strive in this world and at the same time have awareness that this world is pure illusion. It really is one or the other it seems. If Eckhart Tolle was running a multi million dollar business, would he really have the same consciousness of his ego that he has today?
  11. @Vibes I was banned from the politics subforum a year ago @Leo Gura Please be kind and end my long exile
  12. But aren't these traits coming from the ego. The ego creates the illusory world 'Maya' and wants you to get lost in it.
  13. I’m not saying wealth is bad. But if we are trying to eliminate the ego, why are we going to act in ways that inflate it? If you were egoless (like Eckhart Tolle) would you really be trying to be a millionaire?
  14. I didn’t know I was dealing with toddlers so I will spell it out: If a group of friends want to play outside tomorrow, but the forecast says it might rain, they will feel fear, because (try to follow) if it rains they can’t play outside. I hope you understand
  15. If a group of friends want to play football tomorrow
  16. I don’t think that includes making ‘good’ money, just enough to pay your expenses.
  17. @Carl-Richard Every time you focus on the future, there is fear. And fear is the symptom of ego
  18. Doesn’t it put you in an egoic consciousness when you focus on the future
  19. That is how to end this forum
  20. I doubt with the views that Leo is getting that he is being paid well by YouTube
  21. You need to starve the mind, not the body, to get rid of ego
  22. I myself wonder where Leo is getting his money from. The only plausible explanation is the life purpose course, but it's hard to believe that it's still selling like it used to.
  23. Even if you work for yourself, you will still be a slave to your customers. If my clients have an appointment at 10 am, and I decide to sleep over the time, I’m as good as toast. So in that sense I don’t have the freedom to do whatever I want.
  24. I'm no longer seeing the focus on enlightenment that this forum was filled with 6-8 years ago
  25. @Emerald Is it only me, or was this forum more spiritual 6 years ago?
