  1. Watching the new Avatar on LSD has to be something.
  2. Three bananas. Discovered. Done deal. Next.
  3. Oh, it's probably something. I'm inclined to say "invented," but that would be based mostly on fruitless intellectualism and extrapolation rather than real insight. So, yeah, time to contemplate language. Also, what a "thing" (or distinction) actually is would likely need to be addressed as well. It's possible that banana has also been invented by you, in your experience - which is to say, when you remove everything added by you, what remains is meaningless perceptive input of an unknown "thing." What would it take to deeply experience our ignorance regarding this matter, rather than just thinking about it?
  4. Heresy! Glad to hear it's working out for you. I use it too, and I agree - it has a certain charm, though not so much aesthetically with the latest update, in my opinion.
  5. I could say the same to you. Take your so-called multiple Infinities and throw them in the trash.
  6. The distinction that the word alludes to will be constructed. But if the reality it points to is itself constructed, then it is a relative thing. Why call it absolute, then? Call it a construction - which is not the same as infinity. "Degree" and "difference" are relative. How could they not be? When something is said to have degrees, this shows up in relation to every other thing that isn't subject to the same criteria. I guess we might not know what the absolute itself is, which is fine. But again, I suspect you're referring to some sort of state, as suggested by your choice of words like endpoint, state, space. You seem to think I'm talking about a fixed thing existing out there objectively - "outside," "behind,", "inside," or "containing" reality. No such thing as an "Infinity Thermostat," or some such.
  7. Ha, okay. Consider your use of the word beyond and what it points to. The absolute is not great, or a lot, or a multitude, or a combination of things, not even of every thing. And again, a view is a view; a notion is a notion. The idea of "multiple" absolutes is a notion, as is holding it as something containing higher or lower "infinities." A "meta-absolute"? A super huge absolute? A massive absolute?
  8. Okay, we have a different notion of what it means to increase consciousness.
  9. Sure, my ideas are just ideas. So are everyone else's. But you say "more consciousness" as if it were an attribute of the Absolute, whereas it might be better seen from the viewpoint of the individual that is seemingly attempting to grasp it. "Beyond" something implies relativity.
  10. If it is relative, then it can contain something higher. But if it is absolute, there can't possibly be anything beyond it. One, two, three, four, uno, dos, tres, cuatro.
  11. Infinity is not relative. What is it going to contain?
  12. Gotta drop the belief in psychedelics as a means to increased consciousness, too.

  15. Yep, after a few days of casual consideration (i.e., tireless effort), I've come to the conclusion that I don't really know what language is
  16. @Hello1 If we define awakening as becoming conscious of the nature of one's 'true' self and/or existence, then it is already accesible to anyone. It's a possibility that is not subject to intellectual prowess or any other relative consideration - because it isn't elsewhere. It is already the truth of your nature, right now, whatever that may be. The only requirement is grasping this nature in a direct fashion. It's likely that we often hold these concepts idealistically, believing they require a specific way of "being" or living. For example, Eckhart Tolle reportedly had an insight or breakthrough of some kind while going through a depressive phase of his life, if I recall. We might believe that states such as relaxation, happiness, or being in love help when it comes to becoming conscious, but they are simply experiences. You can have an enlightenment while distracted, bored, or apathetic. Metaphorically, we could say that the truth doesn't care what state you're in.
  17. Didn't @Joshe mention Claude CLI for some interesting use cases? I think it was in one of the commonplace book threads.
