  1. I've noticed that its easy to get attached to people you feel help you in some way and put them up on a pedestal. The easiest way to deal with this is in my experience to focus on the message, and not the person. After a while of just focusing on the message instead of the person your subconscious will adapt and it will just happen normally. You'll also be able to attain more information and in a deeper level. Focusing on the person just removes concentration from the real point of the video. Use awareness and it will happen. Also, Leo is probably the one that can solve it for you!
  2. @Leo Gura Exactly. Which is why i think its unfair to disregard him as your typical scientist. I think he has all the information and the view of the world similar to nonduality, i just dont think he's made the connection yet.
  3. @Leo Gura I agree, i'm just saying in comparison to most mainstream academics Sam Harris ego is small. He's said numerous times that he believes the self/ego and free will is an illusion. Its just that he approaches it from almost a purely scientific standpoint, which makes him miss the other aspects. Although he primarily focuses on the science, he's open to it being beyond science.
  4. @Hunter Arrington If you've seen or heard anything from Sam Harris, criticsing him for egoic standpoints are ludicrous. Yes, all debates will in some way have a you vs me setting therefore an ego, but Sam Harris is one of few who is void from bringing his own ego into debating, atleast in my opinion.
  5. Yes, and Schulzy is probably Athene himself or one of his minions. His account is dedicated to posting about Athene and spreading the word about his illogical cult.
  6. Yep. We humans are made to recognise patterns, but this makes us find them where they dont exist as well. Also, i think the conspiracy way of thinking is just another form of victim mentality.
  7. Yet another mindless conspiracy theory. It surprises me that you people call yourself "awake" and conscious", yet are too lazy to read the guidelines of the forum. It expicitly states that these theories are not allowed. If you want to debate all of this, i'm sure Alex Jones or David Icke has forums for people who do. I'm not even going to debate chemtrails since it has been debunked so many times. So instead of feeding this victim narrative that the government is trying to poison you, perhaps using the time on something else would be more productive? And the last thing, before you discredit me as someone who just makes fun of conspiracy theories and the people who believe them. I've personally been way deep into this way of thinking and conspiracy theories, and i can tell you it's only a distraction from your real problems and your real work that has to be done. The times i believed them was when i was at my lowest and my ego needed to distract myself from my actual problems. The conspiracy way of thinking is extremely addicting and before you know it you are hooked. If you want to do conscious work and get a better life its detrimental.
  8. If you asked me a year ago, my answer on a personal level would be yes. But it depends on the person and how their perspective on beauty is and what values they hold dear. So without reading anyones minds i would say that for most people the answer could be yes, but it depends on the person of course. Also, when you see someone who is very beautiful its easy to think that they are already taken because of their beauty, which in turn makes the point of approaching them pointless if you are after a relationship or a intimate experience. How to appear less intimidating? No definite answer to this question either but being down to earth and not acting like you're better than someone else because of your looks goes a long way.
  9. I've had this a few times, each time it stopped it was because of the ego wanting to regain control. Also, having an app that reminds you 10 times a day seems a little neurotic and forced. When it has happened to me it happened naturally and without trying to force it. Trying to force a flow state just makes it harder in my experience.
  10. Funny how Mohammed is being compared to people like Buddha and Jesus just because he has a big following. While the latter two most likely were enlightened Mohammed was the complete opposite. Most of his "teachings" are just plagiarised from other religious book with a huge dose of his gigantic ego. The man was a child-rapist, warmonger and hugely sectarian. Mohammed and "Allah" have nothing to do with enlightenment at all. Its sad that so many people are still brainwashed by him. I will probably get some flak for this and thats fine, but using Jesus, Buddha and Mohammed in the same context is just intellectually lazy and dishonest, and people should think twice before doing it.
  11. Hello. It seems like you have a lot of baggage and past trauma to deal with, i'm writing this as someone who does too. I would really recommend seeing someone in the real world that you can talk to. I dont know how the mental health system is in your country is but a professional would be optimal. Watching videos and doing self development is great, but when you have a lot of baggage it will in my experience only do so much. Also, give yourself time. Although you watch these videoes and understand the concepts theoretically it takes time before it really manifests itself in the subconscious. Being impatient will only make you go backwards, this is what i've experienced. Lastly, give yourself permission to feel all the bad things that have happened to you. Inside of you there probably is a small scared child in need of releasing all the unwanted and suppressed emotions. Hopefully you can turn it into a positive and make you a stronger and wiser person in the future.
  12. I think the reason he is not interested in providing evidence and documentation to you is because with believing in the flat earth you have already shown that you do not really care about arguments and evidence, so what is the point of doing it here? There is such an overwhelming evidence that disproves everything you are saying, but you are choosing to ignore it because your ego wants it to be true. of I'm not really interested in arguing with you for the same reasons but i hope my post can at least show people who are vulnerable and easily influenced that this is pure gibberish.
  13. I don't think people hate you, some might find you annoying. Personally i just feel sorry for whatever circumstances has happened in your life for you to have such an unconscious cognitive dissonance to information in order to protect your worldview and ego.
  14. Sure, it's pretty fucking retarded.
  15. It's pretty fucking retarded.
  16. @Leo Gura Ok, so would it be more correct to say that the brain is just a tool to experience consciousness?
  17. Just a question, you're saying consciousness exists independent of the brain and body. Lets say i hit my head and my brain becomes damaged, wouldnt this impact my consciousness therefore proving that my consciousness actually originates in the brain?
  18. I would call myself spiritual and open minded, but this is unsubstantiated gibberish and downright dangerous to tell a suicidal person. The reason they feel the way they feel is not because of some "past life". There are probably hundreds of different reasons the person feels the way they do, but their past life is not one of them. I've been where you are right now @renegade_bee and i would suggest that you get some professional help if you are not currently getting it. When you get better you can contentrate on these "higher consciousness" topics. But if your situation is so dire right now i would strongly suggest that you seek professional help or get to talk to someone else in person and not on a forum. Also, about your pain issues, i had a family member with almost exactly the same problem you are describing. His problems were psychosomatic and the remedy was to find out why the psyche caused these pains. If you have past trauma or repressed emotions this can cause grave pains in certain parts of the body.
  19. Not if the bread was covered in feces and spit, which this one is.
  20. I watched his livestream, the guy has a huge ego and his whole point is trying to win arguments to feed his ego and feel better about himself. Also, his "logic" and his principles seem to change and when he was confronted with what his actual philosophy was he didnt even seem to understand it himself. Also, he's trying to get people to join his cult so he can feed his god complex even more. The guy is a tool and if he actually has any valid points they are drowned in all the idiocy.
  21. Thanks for providing us with a great example of why a big ego is bad and pathetic by creating this thread!
  22. Jesus christ man, did you read what he just wrote? Also, the pizzagate "evidence" is so nonexistent and speculative that to call it evidence of anything is just intellectually dishonest.
