  1. Leo said something in those terms in the SD Yellow video. The question is, how do you hold completely two contradictory opinions without going completely bonkers? I carry a lot of confusion in my mind, lots of topics where I am uncertain what to believe in but usually I am more inclined towards one or the other. But believing in 2 contradictory things seems like an impossible thing. Can you believe and not believe that earth is flat? Can you believe in Darwinian evolution & book of Genesis at the same time? Can you agree that the planet is warming up and also that the global warming is BS? Don't give me any nondual explanation, most yellow thinkers are not there yet. I might have misunderstood the whole point but got me curious. Thoughts?
  2. An intestinal problem then, not stomach, especially because fruits leave empty stomach within 30 minutes max, some even earlier. My guess is that you have very sensitive intestinal walls perhaps even leaky gut (intestinal wall that lost some of its integrity). All the fibre is scratching the sensitive walls and causing mild local inflammation that's why there is all the pain. (but it could be something completely different) There is a guy on youtube called "Gojiman" he is relatively new but he has Masters in nutrition so prob knows a little bit about it. He is always bashing on SIBO, IBS and leaky gut of having same causes. Have a look at some of his videos and see if it resonates with you. If you can afford it, maybe consider hiring a nutritionist in your area and see if they could help you by doing some stool testing, sibo testing etc..
  3. How long after you eat the fruit till it starts to hurt?
  4. do you know what exactly is wrong with your stomach in the first place?
  5. Dopamine centre stimulation, instant gratification, lack of attention, feeling of fake accomplishment.
  6. How far is he in the condition? Does he know who you are, who people around himare? Can he recall memories from the past? Does he still have sense of humour, hygiene, interest in food, socialising etc? These would define progression of Alzheimer's. (if there is some) Regarding the signs you mentioned that is a clear Parkinson's especially the loss of muscle control and stiff movement..unfortunatelly most of western medicine does not have any answer for that besides feeding these people with L-Dopa but by no means stop researching. There are probably still some procedures or supplements that could help him. Try speaking to a naturopath or a good functional doctor in your area. Also dr Bredesen has put a lot of research towards Alzheimer's and there are some centres around the world that try to replicate his work mainly with supplements. Dr Morse may also have some tips if he was willing to go down the raw fruitarian way which could be challenging for someone with altering state of conciousness I admit.
  7. I think there is also a neurological component as well. Swimming incorporates nearly all skeletal muscles of the body in a perfect harmony, quite uncommon for majority of endurance sports. Usually, there is focus on lower or upper body primarily like cycling or running that is very repetitive (biathlon being one of the exceptions). So because of this, the synapses in the brain that involve a perfect cooperation of all muscles haven't been created yet..we simply do not have the neuron connections. All that comes with practice as you learn to breathe more effectively, avoid taking too long or too short strokes, stop thinking about having to use legs during crawl style etc...your brain becomes adjusted to the new activities but only to a certain degree unless you are very young. Also the older you are when trying to learn something, the more difficult it is because you already have massive amounts of created neuron connections where various muscle groups have been taught to perform in a certain way. Take a boxer for example, they will tend to hunch their shoulders, do a lot of spontaneous traps movement, walk a bit leaned right or left depending on their side preference. That gets all very automatised and is difficult to change or get rid of in favour of other new motion combinations. Gymnastics is another case where a persona above certain age simply cannot compete with the younger anymore (there may be exceptions though) but absolutely also the things you mentioned such as fear of water, different mindset, stiff joints etc..all that comes along.
  8. You have sparked a fear in this person because they most likely have no vision, no goals and no trajectory in life. Same as showing your wealth to a person who is struggling with money on daily basis. Don't worry about their opinion, it changes nothing.
  9. @lmfao yeah this is what I am kinda inclined to believe now as it has been pointed out by others as well. @Serotoninluv makes sense. I think I got the whole point wrong and its not about strictly believing in something but more like being able to entertain multiple opinions and simply being ok with them. If there is one point that most people in this thread agree on, it would be that. @Nahm fair enough, one can wear different pairs of shoes without really attaching himself emotionally to any of them. Thanks for sharing your wisdom once again. @Emerald interesting concept, took me few reads to clearly get it but I think I did. So you're saying its not really about two separate opinions inherently but more about seeing the same paradigm from two different perspectives?
  10. @Emerald don't you dare to stop with those!! I love reading your responses, gives so much clarity in a very simplified way
  11. @Charlotte that's the best way to go around life
  12. @YaNanNallarithis actually makes a lot of sense ! @Strikr I don't think I'm getting the message @Elisabeth haven't thought about it this way, thanks for sharing your perspective. I like all the points you made. Perhaps its not about holding two completely different opinions that lie on very far extremes of the opposite poles but rather something in between, @Mu_ aren't these more like counterintuitive statements? They seem more like mindfucks but maybe I don't see the meaning behind them, @Hansu this is an excellent example and I would not be able to come up with more accurate depiction of 2 contradicting opiion if I tried really hard. Thanks for all your comments folks, I think this is getting a bit clearer now
  13. Amen ! one of the most groundbreaking book I've ever read
  14. Sorry @Charlotte I missed your question. Mostly because of all the hype surrounding them. Nutritionists and naturopaths are prescribing them for everything ranging from IBS, Crohn's to candida, weak immunity, herpes simplex the list goes on. Generally, every time there is a hype surrounding a single product I remain sceptical as there is a lot new market players coming up and it is nearly impossible to regulate their entire supply chain...but this is a problem of the entire supplement industry. Also, constantly loading up on new bacteria is not necessarily a good thing. You should be able to breed your good bacteria once (e.g. after antibiotics) and then feed them with prEbiotics (from food such as fermented foods or most plant foods) which are a nourishment for them and not prObiotics which are just more and more dormant bacteria. There is only so much space in our colon and there is also a risk that they will end up in small intestine where they don't belong. Ofcourse this is just a personal opinion based on some literature I've read mostly so you better remain sceptical and keep questioning
  15. Let's say that you are absolutely certain that this is your true calling and are ready to start transitioning. It would still be foolish to drop everything and try to figure out how to become a DJ or a music composer although I am sure @Dan Arnautu will have some tips for you on how to do that should you decide that this is the area you wish to pursue. What i'd say is first of all really....like really!!! make sure that this is your true calling. You are still in good age to make such change even though you have kids and wife relying on you. Don't go making hasty decisions, abandoning your cash cow and trying to "find yourself" Once you are certain, start making small initial steps in your free time but keep your current sports career. Use your evenings after family is asleep or early morning to hone the skills you need, read books, watch lectures, attend seminars whatever you need to do. I think there are even DJ schools these days in some cities, perhaps they offer distance learning.,.again, whatever you do, don't go abandoning your sports career just yet. It may take you next 5 years to be ready to transition. I am in the same boat trying to shovel my way out of the corporate career but so far it is earning my living so I am using available time in mornings and weekends to study towards my true LP. Arm yourself with patience but identify some actions that you will do every single day. Identify one key step this year before the end of this month that will be your initial rebound point. Perhaps it will be signing up for a DJ course in 2019 or getting a certificate of some sort. Best of luck and don't give up on yourself !
  16. @non_nothing great suggestion, I'd add some epsom salt into the bath, at least 250g in one go. Get one of the giant 5kilo cheap packs not the expensive crap from Wholefoods. Very rich in magnesium and should help your muscles to relax.
  17. as you continue with the course, you will tend to zoom in more and more towards one of those options, I had the same doubts but as you assault those topics from various angles a pattern will start to emerge. Keep on working on the course, it is in my opinion one of the best tools currently available on the market for the price. And as Dan has said, you will likely still spend some time finding yourself even after you finish this thing. Don't try to sprint the marathon just do what you have been so far and you'll break through
  18. @bejapuskas makes sense, glad that you have managed to identify it awareness is the key
  19. Just a speculation but it could be that your stomach is sensitive to certain food combinations. There is a concept called "Food Combining" in the nutrition, more the alternative than the western nutritional science though as it has been proclaimed BS by many studies. The argument is that protein, carb and fats need different PH, different organs, ensymes for digestion and mixing them up confuses the digestive tract. Most people have no issue with this but still, it may be something worth looking into. There are few rules of incorrect food combinations which include: Heavy (animal) protein and heavy starchy carbs - think rice and chicken / fish and chips / a popular czech "pork, dumpling, sauerkraut Heavy (animal) protein and heavy fat - think steak on butter / chicken and avocado Fruit and protein (any) - think smoothie with protein shake or steak with jam Melons - eat alone or leave alone Fruits and Veg Sweet fruits with acidic fruits As I said, most people do not react to this, I have been blessed with very strong digestion and could probably combine all of them in single meal and not have a problem and someone else will throw up and get a diarrhoea. Just my suggestion to you, perhaps try to look into the ones in bold first and see if it changes. Chances are your stomach is just too sensitive. No guarantees but if you feel like you've tried everything, this may give some help ++ Another suggestion would be to see a gastroenterologist and have your stomach checked for gastritis or an ulcer.
  20. What is your key skill in pursuing your life purpose? If you can spend 60 minutes mastering it every day that will make a huge difference in time.
  21. @SgtPepper some of those are very legit studies, for example I wasn't aware of the impact of high fibre on serum vitamin D...will look more into that. Many of the links though are misleading, misunderstood or quite outdated. I could now spend 5 hours browsing through pubmed and producing a list of studies that demonstrate why plant based diets are superior to omnivore diets in so many aspects...but that's not the point. I was addressing that silly picture you posted that pretty much said that non-meat diets are deficient in half of the known nutrients which is nonsense. You copypasted bunch of links from a person that is making their living on 99% carnivore diet, ofcourse they will have their own arsenal of pubmed studies confirming the bias...inherently there is no difference between Sv3ridge and Vegan gains. I see two arogant pricks who are insecure in their own beliefs and bash on everybody not following their ideology....they both have their own degree of truth however perhaps both are taking it bit too far.
  22. Are you eating enough protein? I know this may be kinda barbaric advice as we keep hearing this all over the orange culture but your body needs very specific amounts of essential amino acids to produce things like serotonin, dopamine, various hormones etc... Serotonin is produced from 5HTP which is produced from L-Tryptophan, an essential amino acid. I'd suggest tracking your food intake in cronometer.com and see how much protein are you hitting. Ideally try to aim for 1g/kg of bodyweight. Don't go supplementing 5-HTP, rather focus on getting what you need from food. Best of luck !
  23. @Key Elements that's a powerful message!
