  1. Agreed, there is army of people thriving on this type of diet healing anything from arthritis to diabetes. So are people on plant based, keto, paleo, raw...you name it. The interesting thing is that it appears that these people are afraid to introduce plants because it triggers back their symptoms. Kasey on Vegetable Police has introduced grapes and his gut got fucked up again, I think something similar happened to Jordan. This tells me that meat diet is a masking diet, like pharmaceuticals and the core issue remains unattended. But I am open to being wrong, absolutely. Carni has only been around for relatively short time so we don't have a lot of evidence as to how this effects longevity however we have solid data on preferably plant based diets (with some meat) that show very positive benefits. Guess we'll have to wait another 50 years till some solid evidence is presented from observational studies that are most likely already going on.
  2. At the same time ego can keep you motivated TO GROW, ego likes to feel that it is improving, doing more than others, being better, smarter, more developed. Most personal development does not stem from wanting to be an incredibly evolved human being but rather wanting to be better than everybody else....but at the same time I agree that on the edges of personal dev, especially when entering spirituality and non-duality the ego will do its best to protect you from entering this dimension...at least that's how it is in my life
  3. @ElenaO in that case perhaps you need a bit of a nutrient boost as cold can drain your nutrients very very fast especially the ones I mentioned above. Getting something like a complex dose of all micros in a powder for couple days could be a good idea. I am not a fan of this being long term solution but these can definitelly push you a step above especially if some key nutrients are low. Not sure where you are based but there is a good variety on market in most countries. And ofcourse blending your daily smoothies is an excelent way to boost an antioxidant defence. Chug 100g of bluberries with some flaxseeds and 50g of greens and some other goodies and you will get a very decent dose of immune support
  4. This is your solution right there. I was exactly in the same situation for 2 years in my early 20s. I couldnt get this girl out of my head even though she was with someone else. Put yourself in situation where you will have opportunities to meet other girls, talk to them and you will see that many have same qualities and perhaps even better looks, once you get to know someone else as good as this girl, your feelings to her will start to change.
  5. Jordan's depression was cured by meat because his digestive health is in the toilet and meat is relatively easy to digest with no inflammatory properties, at least not immediate, a sensitive gut that is inflamed will be scratched by fibre hence plant foods cause a lot of pain to these people. Carnivore diet is not a solution it masks the symptoms of impaired absorbtion, methylation disruption and potentially leaky gut and IBS.
  6. @ElenaO this may be kinda silly question but are you eating enough protein-rich foods? Are you getting 1.2g/kg of bodyweight? Often people largely undereat this. This is important because your body needs amino acids to create immunoglobulins to mediate an immune response.( IgA, IgE, IgM, IgD and IgG) Also your white blood cells, the tiny warriors of your immune system are largely made of protein. Your main antioxidant in the body called glutathione is very dependant on a combination of several amino acids, this helps in immune response and detoxification as well. At the same time boosting your zinc (supplement for a short time if necessary) and dietary antioxidants (vit C, vit E) by eating a lot of fruits and berries may definitelly help.
  7. @Epiphany_Inspired I was re-reading some of what you wrote before and you said that this happened after a critical incident in your life which caused a lot of stress. Stress response is managed by your adrenal glands secreting adrenaline (acute stress) and cortisol (chronic stress). Cortisol is also an anti inflammatory compound which your body uses to put away the inflammation once the damaged has been repaired. -> so I am thinking that the stress weakened your adrenals to a level that they can't put that bladder inflammation to a rest....thats just a hypothesis. If you are saying you are starting to have kidney pains, it could be that an infection is spreading...but maybe not. Really hard to say without proper diagnosis. My suggestion would be to see your GP despite whatever your beliefs around modern medicine and try to get a scan or a total blood count. They can check for inflammatory markers like ESR or C-reactive protein or leukocytes and see whats up. At the same time eating an alkaline, healing diet in form of raw fruits and vegetables is definitelly a good idea. From my experience Dr Morse's herbs are incredibly powerful...they definitelly helped me to massively reduce my allergies during Summer this year, I made a post about it couple months back. Good luck friend!
  8. One of my longer term goals is to setup a Naturopathic Healing Centre to be able to see clients personally. Having studied Spiral Dynamics, I am hoping to be at stage Yellow by the time this happens. What would you say a Yellow healing centre looks like? I want to incorporate Orange (evidence based treatment) as well as Green (herbs, lifestyle, meditation, detox...) but when trying to look from Yellow perspective can't see what would be different. Thanks for any advice
  9. @aurum damn, that was some insightful shit right there! Thanks for sharing.
  10. I saw this written somewhere once and for some reason it resonated with me deeply. There is just something deep to this sentence. What are your thoughts? Just another green mumbo jumbo or a a mindblowing insight?
  11. @aurum Yeah I think I am starting to see it more and more in every day life, especially in deeds I used to see as purely evil and selfish. Would make for an interesting video on your channel perhaps the culprit of all mankind's suffering right there!
  12. How old are you? Any chance this could be related to decreasing bone density or osteoarthritis? Anyways agreed with @ajasatya, go see your doc, get a scan and see what's up. Then figure out how to deal with it and your mind will be a powerful tool once you are heading the right direction.
  13. It is important to take it easy and go slow on your digestion. Chances are your stomach has shrunk a bit and your pancreas got used to pumping digestive juices less often. Smoothies are one of the best way to crank up more calories into easily digestible form without stretching the stomach walls too much. Adding something like a protein powder into it will help with the gain of muscle mass. Focus on quality over quantity. Eat foods dense in micronutrients as close to natural state as possible. Think more wholefoods and less processed pre-cooked packed foods. If you crave meat, give it a go and see how it makes you feel. Don't carry any stigma around food unless you try it yourself. Yes, it is possible that if you bump up your calories, initially you will see some side effects like bloating, diarrhoea or constipation. Most of all if you want to gain some muscle, the nutrition is only portion of the success, the other is putting sufficient stress to activate anabolic processes. Sleep is equally important as that is when your hypothalamus releases the most GHRH. Growth happens more while you sleep than in the gym.
  14. The guy in Road Less Travelled (I think it was that book) talked about this a bit. Basically these stage Blue people be it christian, muslim, budhist monks have often been indoctrinated way way long before they had the opportunity to gain some sexual experience and maturity. Many christian monks have lived in strictly no-sex no-sin families and hence their sexual maturation stopped by the age of 10 or 15 depends on how early the "education" started. You can say they had their libido "frozen" at that time of their life. Later on in their 50s when they are once again exploring their sexuality, they continue where they left of in their 15. Not all of them become pedophiles but often this is the case because they were not able to go through that period of liking girls, getting first kisses as other kids so they don't know any better. But now they have these strong sexual urges and they don't know how to cope with it. And the thing for young boys is probably that they are easier to get to than young girls because many young boys serve in the church these days and spend a lot of time with priests where parents are generally very protective of their daughters, way more than the boys. EDIT enlightenment doesn't prevent you from being a horny chimp and doing irrational decisions if you have not evolved properly as a human being.
  15. you guys need to relax...he missed videos few times in the past and there was always this type of thread opened. "Omg has Leo died..why is there no video"? One time somebody posted an article of guy dying in motorcycle crash in Vegas and all of a sudden this was Leo committing suicide on psychadelics
  16. Observe these impulses as mindfully as possible, don't fight them just watch them appear again and again. Carry on with your meditation practice, that alone is in my opinion the most powerful tool to overcome this thing.
  17. Look into some of Dr Morse's herbal formulas. Kidney & Bladder I and II combined might help, you can also see the ingredients on his website and get them yourself. He might also have some helpful ideas on how to tackle cystitis in one of his 500 videos. These guys are all about tissue regeneration and rebuilding.
  18. wow, this is fascinating, thanks for sharing !
  19. Your ideas of male attractiveness are fucked up by media and pop culture. While there are benefits to looking good, a high quality woman will look for way more than what you mentioned above. Pilgrim gave a good list. Focus on other areas of your development. Leo has a video about this, something in terms of male attractiveness. Btw you can have chisseled jawline and be ripped if you really wished it...both come from mastering your nutrition and exercising...get ripped, lose that double chin and get that tight skin look
  20. Maybe you are thinking in terms of "Orange" engineering. How about turquoise engineering? Could you become one of the pathfinders in the area?
  21. Building a home gym is definitely a good option. You can order some of the following and save on gym fees. Gymnastic rings or TRX (hang on a tree somewhere) pair of adjustable dumbbells a large barbell with some weights (example) skipping rope rubber band (15kg resistance or more) medicine ball With these you'll be able to create hundreds of functional workouts. In the UK, I'd estimate around £120 for all above, maybe even less on Amazon or Decathlon. + the money you save you can use to get a proper nutrition.
  22. Guess English as a second language does not count anymore these days For me it was German also for about 10 years and Spanish for 3 (abandoned some time ago). Found it fun to learn them and it came quite naturally but all that because I had no idea what to do with my life. Once I found more meaningful purpose, I dropped even German because I could not see its use anymore, at least not in the foreseeable future.
  23. It takes couple weeks to fully adapt to ketosis so you'll just be pulled out and in depending on your carb intake during low carb. I don't see anything wrong with the rotation as an experiment but can't imagine it being lifelong sustainable. Seems like too much hassle but whatever works for you is the best
  24. stop taking away our freedom
  25. @now is forever its definitelly a step forward and we need more legislations like this but it will probably take a while before key players like Russia are ready to advance their society..at the moment they are somewhere between purple-red-blue + Moscow being very Orange.
