  1. Not particularly harmful however it does drain your own vitality by calling up on surges of adrenaline and cortisol. This stimulation is rapid, drains a lot of nutrients and may backfire on you by weakening your adrenal glands after years of abuse which may lead to chronic depression, fibromyalgia, lack of mood and a lot of systemic inflammation that won't go away because your adrenals won't be able to pump out sufficient cortisol to couteract the inflammation. But taken couple times a week without dairy milk from an organic source is probably alright Although matcha tea would be a better go to.
  2. You can be a Yellow toll taker on Golden-gate bridge and know nothing about statistics. Consciousness not education determines the growth in the spiral.
  3. E-X-E-R-C-I-S-E The benefits go beyond staying slim.
  4. Maybe you should look for a specialist. I am in UK as well and there is a good presence of naturopaths and herbalists in here. Find someone who is reasonably priced and work with them. These people see these conditions all the time.
  5. Sorry you are having one of the flareups, psoriasis can be nasty and the cure is not easy however from what I've researched on the topic there seem to be some things that exacerbate the flare-ups: Stress - in case of psoriasis it is often a cause of flarups and a consequence of living with it so it kinda creates a vicious cycle. Stress seems to activate something called HPS Axis (Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Sympathetic Axis) which triggers the release of local inflammatory mediators such as NGFin the skin. Diet - A decent amount of evidence suggests towards more wholefood plant-based vegetarian/vegan diet as being very helpful here. Mediterranean diet would be a good start. (link) Gluten-free might help or testing for gluten sensitivity as well and then keeping at a slightly hypocaloric state or implementing a bit of intermittent fasting. Sufficient intake of Omega 3 fatty acid while reducing Omega 6 intake is a good idea. On the top of all that I'd up your fruit intake to 10+ servings a day as a fruit is generally cleansing and anti-inflammatory. Vitamin D - because in psoriasis there is an uncontrolled proliferation of skin cells, some theories suggest that this may have to do with vitamin D deficiency. Btw many autoimmune diseases such as MS has also been linked to vitamin D deficiency as it is a significant immune regulator. Weight reduction - in case that is an issue, might help. I assume this is not your problem thou Good luck with any protocol you go for!
  6. There is some concern that long term fasting starves and kills large portion of your gut microbiome, which is not a wise thing to do. It might be better alternative to fast on monofruits, or vegetable juices to ensure there is no damage there as recolonizing of a destructed microbiome takes years of systemic refeeding ...not few yogurts as some advocates of fasting think. So caution advised
  7. I think you should work with a specialist on this one. Dr Morse often says that in a cleansing/detoxification protocol you have to go very deep when faced with chronic progressive condition to get rid of the cause on the systemic level. That often means becoming very skinny and then rebuilding the tissue by starting to add sources of protein. But this is really difficult to do on your own so I'd probably look to get a support from a naturopath or detox specialist. Medicine will be useless on this as they are with everything that is not A&E or accident management.
  8. There was a thyroid health topic opened recently, have a look at the history, few tips shared in there. Most importantly you want to have your selenium and iodine levels in spot (not supplementally if possible as you may overdose).
  9. Powerful tool or bunch of nonsense? Modern medicine does not support it and it is vastly considered quakery. Has anyone had any experience or any insights to share?
  10. When I came to UK in 2015 my first job, although being an internship earned me £12,000 a year, the UKI minimum wage. I accepted that as being the gateway into the country for an Eastern European immigrant. My boss was an arrogant French dickhead who treated me like an easily disposable piece of shit but I knew if I wanted to survive in this country as a foreigner with little experience, it had to be endured. However after the end of internship, I managed to find an actual full-time position in a large corpo where the salary went rapidly up in line with UK standards comparable to what natives earned.........the fact that studying business and entering global finance sector was a terrible decision that I later on came to regret is a different story but I did not know any better then. What I'm trying to say is that when you start, you are gaining valuable experience but most importantly you are building your CV. Being just 19, you have your whole career ahead of you. So as harsh as it sounds you just gotta suck it up and carry on with what you do. Take it as investment in your skill portfolio. Take on as much new work as possible and learn all the aspects you can. After a year you are free to leave that place and find better employer but if you start haggling about pay rise now, you may end up being made redundant with no experience and back to ground zero,.
  11. I came here clickbaited by TES reference....read an inspiring story of a young artist....was not disappointed.
  12. John is probably the only WWE superstar who ever made it past stage Orange. Dwayne Johnson might have a hint as well although the guy is still dominated by success and fame most of all. Although it is hard how to say these people behave their real-life since the entire WWE is one fake chimp theatre.
  13. sorry,i misread the question. Yes the area your thumb covers times two ...
  14. Haven't read all the comments so forgive me if this was asked but I think we need a new video (I know there was one in the past) on divine masuline vs divine feminine. From a highly conscious perspective. Let's cut into the red pill, alpha, macho and diva dogmas once and for all.
  15. Bags under the eyes could be signs of kidney filtration problems (but also genetic or chronic fatigue/insomnia). Dark colour could be sign of iron-deficiency anemia or a fluid congestion/stagnation. Try to up your nutrition, drink plenty and stay away from coffee for some time. If none of those get better, consider getting tested. Testing You may need to exaggerate a bit to your doc so they take it seriously. 1. If you say that you feel very tired during the day and, they could do ferritin (iron) testing. (for the dark circles) 2. As per the bags, well I don't know how likely you are to get kidney filtration testing. A GFR and creatinine testing would give a clue. You could say you are experiencing lower back pains and that you think you saw blood in urine? They may do some urine/kidney testing which could give some idea Other then that private testing is the only option to know for sure.
  16. yeah let's start with that
  17. Cal Newport says that instead of pushing yourself too far you should, every day, just lean slightly on the edge of your comfort zone. This way your comfort zone will slowly expand one day at a time. If you push yourself too hard, you can stretch the "bubble" rapidly but you'll end up burned out and exhausted. So pace yourself slowly but do something every day. Tap into that uncomfort just a bit but make sure to get back to that place every day. If you feel like taking a break and swimming with the flow a while, then do it. But once you have savoured it, get back to where you left.
  18. Definitely anxiety-based as @pluto said. Do you have teeth marks on side of your tongue as well? Stress management is essential whatever that means for you.
  19. @Commodent You may try seaweeds for iodine then. As weird as it sounds, having a piece of Nori sheet that is used for sushi can be a good way to get in some Iodine. I would start with a piece double the size of your thumb. Or if you buy the shredded Nori, put a tablespoon on your salad or just in water and drink it. The taste is not great but I am sure you can manage Other commonly available are Wakame, Kelp or Dulse. Yeah, that should be looked into as well. . see if you experience the same from eating seaweeds then. There are some indication here + also adding what you mentioned about losing eyelashes, that is a very common sign of hypothyroidism, especially distal eyelashes. But before you have a formal diagnosis we can only speculate. If your doctor doesn't want to test you, you may consider private testing such as Genova although that's not the cheapest. Or finding a Naturopath if you'd like to try a combination of nutrition and herbal remedy. Botanicals can do a lot fo endocrine problems. Otherwise, just take a leap of faith and look up a good book on Thyroid healing such as the one from Anthony Williams (bit controversial) or the one from Samantha Welti. For something more naturopathic, you can look into Robert Morse's protocol but perhaps there is no need to do a raw cleansing right now, I'd prob focus on getting Iodine and Selenium from foods first for couple weeks. Anyways, good luck. Give us an update in few weeks just to see how it's been going
  20. If its really a thyroid then there are two minerals that are absolutely essential for its function: iodine and selenium. If you are vegan or vegetarian, it is possible either or both are low. Iodine is especially rich in seafood and seaweeds. Selenium is the highest in breasilian nuts. You can try taking 1-2 brazilian nuts daily for some time Make sure it is from South America though cause the ones from Asia can be from depleted soils. Try to raise your intake of both and see if there is any improvement in 2-4 weeks. Additionally other things that could be draining your thyroid: Stress - if your cortisol is high, it will override TSH and could cause thyroid problems. I see a lot of women in my company with mild goiters and I bet most of it is from stressful lifestyle Radiation/EMF exposure - probably not an issue unless you are a pilot or a cabin crew. Or work in nuclear power plant. The excessive EMF could be a problem thou if you live in places like NY City, London, Tokyo.....any of the congested cramped places where you get so much exposure to electronics and various frequencies. Heavy Metal accumulation - again depends on where you work and whether there are chances for any such accumulation? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19594417#targetText=Micronutrients%2C mostly iodine and selenium, brain damage in the world. I haven't read the whole thing but it might be helpful if you are interested and can find the full paper. In terms of making sure it really is thyroid how about the following: Get cold hands and feet? Do you often feel cold even if its warm outside? do you have irregular heartbeat? headaches / migraines? low energy? easily irritable? excessive sweating? do you have a mild swelling in your lower frontal neck (just beneath the adam's apple)
  21. Even the most enlightened master still has to find a way to secure an income in this society, to drive his survival. Many of the guys on this forum who are highly evolved still hold jobs in major or smaller orange corporations. There is a spiritual development and a personal development. Both need to be alligned as one without the other creates an imbalance. In an ideal world you would be making a contribution to the world through a conscious effort and love while being spiritually evolved yourself. But to get there one needs to go through materialism, achievement and success to savour it all and realise the limitations of it. There is nothing wrong about desire for success and money as long as you see that this desire stems from the part of you that has not yet evolved higher on the spiral and that's ok. Perhaps there is also the factor of fear of poverty and failure....we all have that. It's all a part of the journey Whatever happens is ok just don't let it stop you in your tracks
  22. btw are you ok with most fibrous foods. Any particularly scratchy veggies? I assume fruits are ok?
  23. @PretentiousHuman yop that's the man. Now before you go ahead, I just have to warn you that a lot of what Robert says goes very very much against traditional medicine that you have been educated in during your nurse training. So keep an open mind when listening and as always question everything you hear . I think that because he speaks from stage turquoise, people misunderstand a lot what he teaches especially when talking about "god" which refers to nonduality and not religion as many of his subscribers assume in comments. But I think that for chronic inflammatory conditions, cancers and autiummunity, this is the best way to go. Bet there are other efficient ways of course but it is not through immunosuppressants that's for sure. Are you based in US?
  24. @non_nothing do you think fixing any of the "no's" could help?
