  1. Interesting conversation.
  2. The adult path is about finding a way to reconnect ourselves to the joy we used to have when we were kids but that we lost because of some circumstances.
  3. I have a slight sense of superiority that I developed many years ago. I feel superior when it comes to intellect and wisdom. I feel like I'm a better human being than most people. I see most people as dumb, and it makes me arrogant. Sometimes it looks like it's one of the reasons why I avoid many social interactions: I want to analyze all possibilities so that I can always be right and superior. Even though I did a lot of progress in the past and this is not a big issue anymore, I just feel it within myself. It also looks like it's a natural thing for INTPs. Anyone can relate or have some tips? Arrogance doesn't feel that great compared to acceptance, satisfaction in life, or joy.
  4. I wasn't sure that by self-image you were talking about God or an advance and healthy ego. Interesting thought btw, it makes sense, thanks.
  5. 15/02/2021 (Week 4) If I bring a higher level of self-esteem to my activities today... I'll recognize that everyone has strengths and weaknesses I'll see that everyone can bring something I'll have more acceptance without necessary tolerating everything people will be happier to engage with me I'll naturally attract people with high self-esteem I'll improve my social skills I'll be more at peace with people I'll change my attitude towards people If I am 5 percent more self-accepting today... I'll recognize that I'm not perfect I'll be happier in the moment I'll be calmer I'll be more in touch with reality I'll relax my body more I'll be more able to cope with today's challenges I'll accept that I need to accept myself I'll feel better I'll be more relaxed If I am self-accepting even when I make mistakes... I'll be more able to correct mistakes I'll accept help from people I'll have more humility I'll recognize that I'm not that different from other people and that I make mistakes too I'll open more room for progress I'll progress easier and faster in life If I am self-accepting even when I feel confused and overwhelmed... I'll accept to experience emotions linked to confusion and overwhelming such as stress, fear, anxiety I'll be able to quickly go through emotions related to confusion and overwhelming and move up the emotional scale I'll cry if I'll need it will be easier to get back on track I'll develop more emotional mastery I'll progress quicker in life

  7. So you are not talking about the absolute? Interesting.
  8. I don't live with people, I live with animals.
  9. Yes, it helps.
  10. Just realized that it's not sense of superiority, but sense of inferiority. I'm afraid of not being good enough, so that's why I want to do everything to feel superior. Sense of superiority = sense of inferiority. The thing is that even if this is true it would be great to use intellect without feeling superior. Someone can have superior physical strength and be arrogant about it or show humility and help and protect others who don't have such strength. So I'm not that smart because I have difficulties to balance that with emotions such as compassion, empathy, humility. What do you mean by "lack of proper self-image"? To be clear, I'm not an asshole who want to be right at all cost and think I cannot learn from anyone else. I'm in fact very far away from this and try to be as respectful and open as long as my awareness allows me. I'm open to other perspectives, to feedback and criticism, and I'm willing to correct mistakes. But I noticed that when it comes to intellect, I naturally do much better than 99% of people around me and therefore it creates a feeling of superiority within myself. I don't show a lot of arrogance IRL, but I often have to watch myself to not become arrogant when I see people doing "obvious" mistakes around me. Sometimes I release arrogance on this forum and by journaling. Yes, very true. But, I also feel like my capacity to learn fast is better than most people and therefore the reason why I'm not making pizza is because I saw a long time ago what needs to be done for me to evolve through life. But at the same time it still means that I'm dumb in the field of making pizza. But society also value much more intellect than manual labor, so it also makes me superior in the eyes of society and make me able to provide more value because I can elaborate systems that integrate different fields without me being good at them, but only knowing partially about them, at least if I want to do that and take the time to do that.
  11. 14/02/2021 (Week 3) If any of what I wrote this week is true, it might be helpful if I... put more consciousness when listening to people bring more attention to what people say listen deeply to people try to better understand people develop more empathy set proper social boundaries develop more assertiveness find the balance between being kind and being assertive in order to deal with people effectively

  14. He mentioned them, but then also talked about some highly intelligent academics and said that he will not say their names.
  15. @Leo Gura What were some of the highly intelligent intellectuals, but not wise individuals that you mentioned?
  16. The US is a strange country. History books will be written in the future about how the most powerful country of the beginning of the 21st century voted for an analog version of Hitler, how he has been impeached twice, and how conservatives helped him be acquitted twice even after a coup attempt that led to the death of five people. People who voted for him will be ashamed for decades and will be ashamed when their kids will read books about this in the next 20 - 30 years.
  17. This video from the democratic house managers is perfect. It shows the dangers of red and its confrontation with blue. It also shows the impact of social media, the limitations of free speech, and the dangers of easy gun circulation.
  18. Honestly... the US looks underdeveloped compared to main European countries.
  19. 13/02/2021 (Week 3) If any of what I wrote this week is true, it might be helpful if I... listen deeply to what people say bring consciousness to my social interactions try to understand other people point of view develop more empathy try to understand what it's like to be my mom try to understand what it's like to be my sister try to understand what it's like to live with anger and hate like my dad try to understand what it's like to be blind, almost deaf, losing my mental abilities, losing my physical abilities, and living in a foreign country like my grandma try to understand what it's like to be Trump try to understand what it's like to be Hitler bring kindness to my relationships without being a fool bring assertiveness to my social interactions put proper boundaries with people care about people without becoming a people pleaser, nor a victim I do some efforts to improve the quality of my relationships

  21. Something, Nothing, and Truth When we think that something is something, it is something. When we think that something is nothing, it is nothing. When we realize that something is nothing, it is truth.
  22. Feeling That The World Is Antiquated Even though I still have many issues to work on, I feel like paradoxically I'm just way too advanced/too good for the world. 99% of people are basically antiquated for me and in IRL everyone that I know is antiquated. They all live in the middle age. It's hard to relate to outdated people, and I still have difficulties understanding the fact that many people who had better chances in life than me got trapped into ideologies such as success.
  23. 12/02/2021 (Week 3) If I treat listening as a creative act... I'll be careful to what people say I'll be more able to detect people's intentions I'll be more able to detect lies and manipulations I'll deal better with people I'll could use people's ideas to grow myself I'll realize that by being attentive, I'll notice others mistakes, and will be able to avoid the same mistakes If I notice how people are affected by the quality of my listening... I'll put a little more importance into listening I'll respect more others opinions even if they are wrong, but without necessarily subscribing to them I'll open myself a little more to people I'll avoid to use my smartphone while dealing with people I'll let go of thoughts that are unrelated to a current conversation I'll realize the impact that I have on people If I bring more awareness to my dealings with people today... my responses would be a little less automatic, but more genuine and/or thoughtful I'll better catch my emotional reactions I'll better catch moments where I'm afraid of having social interactions I'll enhance the clarity of my mind during social interactions I'll realize that I've been avoiding people most of my life I'll open myself to the possibility of having great social interactions If I commit to dealing with people fairly and benevolently... I'll bring more kindness to my social interactions I'll be more genuine in my social interactions I'll use assertiveness when necessary I'll put proper boundaries I'll be able to find the balance between being kind, genuine, open and being assertive, having boundaries, and not letting people abuse me my relationships will improve a little every day, feel better and better, and I'll be happy to have social interactions
