@Keyhole @LfcCharlie4 Well done, here is to an excellent 2020!! For all of us!

It is less than 2 weeks that we enter into 2020, so I thought it was the appropriate time to do a post which I hope will get a lot of reception and we can all muse on until 2020. So, 3 questions about 2019 to answer (as brief as you can): 1: How was it overall, a rating out of 10. (And why if you want, the good and bad). 2: If you goals you set yourself (or didn't set) worked out or if you didn't make them. 3: What goals do you set for 2020? For example, I give 2019 a 7/10 out of 10. I fulfilled most of my goals but fell short on some of them that mattered a lot to me. It was a good year for money and success, but not so much in terms of relationships or deepening my self-actualization, which hopefully I can work on more in 2020, and put money and success to the back seat for now. I set myself the goals of finding a new girlfriend, going deeper into this 'enlightenment' tunnel, completely changing my room so that it enables me to think clearer, and generally feeling much happier and connected with life, along with hopefully keeping up this financial growth. I have seen an a very noticeable change in the quality of this forum in the last 1 year. A big decrease in the amount of trolls and people looking to argue for no good reason, and an increase in people willing to listen, true Self-Actualization fans! Here is to an Incredible 2020, for Leo and everyone on this forum!

@Spiral Noice one, you did well!
-
@Amandine Well done@Thewritersunion Good luck, I understand where you are coming from.
-
@Alissa Sounds like you are doing well, good luck in the new year!@universe Well done to you! Well I am trying to clear out everything I don't need, I find the less shit I have laying around the clearer my mind is, the emptier the room the better. @lmfao @Dan502 @Jonac Thank you and good luck for 2020!
-
@kindayellow Well done, good luck for 2020!@Ferdi Le You too! I did say my goals above . @QandC @TrynaBeTurquoise @Ero @fridjonk Thank you all and well done. @TheAvatarState I am very sorry to hear that, my year has definitely had it's downs if it makes you feel any better. I am stuck in a job that I despite at the moment, I am the only one to blame for that of course. Soon I will be 21 and I want to be achieving more, I am getting frustrated a lot recently to be honest. It is very hard not to get caught in the same traps of debt that others do as well, I have noticed. Luckily at the moment I have 0 debt, and I always intend to keep it that way. Hopefully 2020 is better for us all.

@DrewNows I love Max Igan, thankyou again, he is very easy to listen too.

@Tom T Great Question, unfortunately this is a very difficult one! It depends on how we leave the EU, to put it simply. Regardless of Brexit, the Conservative Government is tearing this country limb from limb. Leaving the EU should have no direct impact on your Life Purpose business, being a private enterprise, so I wouldn't worry about that, moving country probably wouldn't work so well as Australia and Canada for example have their own issues as well. Brexit will NOT bust the UK economy unless this clown Government make it so, hopefully this is one thing they can get right. Worry about the Conservatives, even if you move to another country they will still have their fingers in pies. Your plan is good. Just keep doing what you are doing, wait 1 year and see where you are in life and where the country is, I am in the same situation and I agree with your tactic, take it easy!

@DrewNows Thankyou for sharing.

Light Lover replied to Thetruthseeker's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Thetruthseeker You are pretty much right on all of these things (Corbyn Green, Cons Orange and Brexit Party Blue), except for Brexit itself. I can only speak on authority on this as I live in England and have studied the EU argument from both sides to a great degree. The EU is undoubtedly only of the most corrupt and deeply undemocratic institutions on the planet, most certainly within the continent of Europe, not to mention financially incompetent and meddling. Unfortunately a lot of racists/xenophobes support leaving it, which gives the principle of 'Brexit' a bad name and has made it's reputation into one of a stage Orange goal. The Conservatives (I was about to use another word but I best not, starting with C), won because they promised to leave the EU whilst Labour promised to re-run the entire thing in another vote. Corbyn is a fucking idiot. If he would have kept to his original ideals of leaving the EU for just, socialist reasons (as many left-wingers support leaving the EU as well) he would have won the election by a large majority. People over here are very dumb. They actually believe the Conservatives will deliver Brexit, but they won't, they lie as usual. Now they will fuck that up and continue to rip this country apart for however many years to come. The Green party and the other parties are useless and filled with incompetent clowns, as usual, despite it's premise being something that no doubt all of us on here could support. Longest. Post. EVER! Political Rant over. P.S: Hope all of you like my creepy new profile picture. -
@Danioover9000 Well said, spot on!
-
@Space Un-fucking believable today I have lost a huge amount of respect for the people of this country. You are totally right about Corbyn and your analysis is spot on, he had the opportunity to win if he just grew some balls and took a position in the EU debate, lost alot of respect for him as well. Now we are stuck with these scumbags for the next 5 years...very disheartening news.
-
It will be a hung parliament, I feel. I am very anxious for it, the outcome that is... They all suck though. Corbyn used to be a glimmer of hope but now has been beaten into submission by his own party, most of us in the UK know this, like how he used to be for leaving the EU, but now has been forced by his party to change his position.

@johncakecream 6am, damn, that would kill me every morning lol, something about my body clock! I just cannot seem to wake up at that time even if I go to bed early.

@Sri McDonald Trump Maharaj @pluto @Raptorsin7 @nathandev Thankyou all for your contribution, sorry for the very late reply, been busy with the usual shite.
-
@Proactive The positive effects are imagined. The 'no-fap' movement is one of the stupidiest things I have heard of in recent times. How hard can it be to to enjoy porn or erotic material moderately? People these days are obsessed with extremes, either you are masturbating 7 times a day or restraining from it for weeks on end for no good reason. It's like saying you should starve your self for weeks because you eat too much. The whole thing has literally become a cult.
-
@Knock I wake up at 8 usually for work. But otherwise if I have a day off of work go to sleep at 11 and wake up at 9. I am a deep sleeper and enjoy it and feel that that 9-10 hours of non-interrupted sleep means I don't need to rest for the rest of the day. @universe @Igor82 @Ampresus @Anastas Sia @Skanzi @King Merk @mikelyons @Milos Uzelac Thankyou all very much for your responses, it is very helpful to see other people's sleeping habits, and all of you are different I see.

Interesting replies so far, thankyou all for your contributions, keep em' coming! @Amilaer--- @Smurfinstein @Sahil Pandit @studentofthegame @TheAvatarState

@Emerald Very well said! You explain it much better than I ever could aha.

@archi I am from the UK, so as an outward observer I am not able to accurately judge the internal state of your country, however, I do think trump will win a second time, but it will be by a hare. As far as I can see, he still has an extremely loyal following who are die hard for his cause. Just my opinion. I am neither for or against him, too much conflicting information to decide. As long as that creep Joe Biden doesn't get in I am happy.

@Serotoninluv Exactly!
-
@RoyFollman @Shiva Thankyou both very much, I will use what you have both provided to better help my diet. I have cut out alot of stuff recently that I know I didn't need, I was only having it for the taste and it probably wasn't doing me any good either to be honest, regardless of it being organic or not.

@Mintberrycrunch Hello there! I used to have EXACTLY what you had my friend, 100%! Firstly, I want you to know that this IS curable and you are able to be free of it, just as I am now, if I can do it you can do, as I am not special in any way at all! I was rid of this problem through meditation. 30 minutes a day for just 1 year, try it! I started it when I was 16, and by 17 I was rid of my anxiety and OCD and all the physical problems that it brought (I'm 20 now and my anxiety and horrific thoughts have never returned)! I know that is a big ask, but if you do it properly, the proper mindfulness meditation exercise (simply trying to be aware of your thoughts for that period of time and not giving up) it will TRANSFORM your mind, I promise. Just my advice. Therapists are hit and miss, as I am sure a lot of us on here would agree. If you don't like the idea of meditation, you could try to find a proper hypnotherapist, he or she may be able to help, I went to one once and he was excellent, listened very well to me and got to the core of the problem quickly, as long as you are honest to them. If you are having deeply disturbing or uncomfortable thoughts, you have to tell them directly what they are, otherwise they may not be able to unlock the secrets in your mind. My thoughts and best wishes are with you, just remember, tons of us on here had the same issues and managed to be rid of it, if we can do it, you can too!

Wear an eye mask and earplugs 100%! Don't use internet or listen to music (especially heavy stuff) 1 hour prior to sleeping, as @Nicachi said, find habits that help your mind and body relax into sleep, instead of forcing it, tea is always good as well! Don't eat too much prior to sleeping otherwise you will feel bloated. Do some deep breathing to get your mind totally into the state of rest for about 5 minutes, and make sure your room has very little or no light! That is all the advice I have!
