Some teachers go more into the public and try to shine some light there and they receive a huge backlash from egos. Those people are significantly more popular because of the drama that they create. (like sadhguru for example). But J chose to go to the darkest corners of humanity and be the light there knowing fully well of the consequences it will bring. The deeper into darkness you go, the more people your light is going to touch. It also shows the capacity and extent of one's love. The deeper your love is, the more people you can shoulder. Apparently Jesus descided to shoulder a huge chunk of the pie.
