  1. Being Superman would be freakin awesome. But after awhile even Superman wishes he was someone else.
  2. Don't get the Buddhism hate. Or non duality for that matter. All the Buddhist philosophy I have read places ultimate emphasis on the Individual path. No mass movement, very little dogma and no blood atonement of an external savior god, just practical how to manuals on achieving full on sentient sovereignty. That's not saying the priesthood didn't manage to create a mass religion out of it...
  3. The question was asked why do younglings resist moral realism? I can't speak for the kids but one reason could be because it doesn't exist. In the material or metaphysical worlds. Its a made up idea like human rights. Great for manipulation and herd steering. Only the domesticated indulge in this delusion. When you "live" in the 'survival pressure cooker' and no men are created equal all bets are off.
  4. Well despite appearances its still pure law of the jungle out here.
  5. How much potential has been destroyed by conformity and morality as well as the dialectic opposites of perversion and addiction? You live in nature. Nature is a violent bloody war - total all encompassing all consuming war for survival, growth and evolution - no holds barred - no morality - no right - no wrong - just what is and what can be accomplished. You can cling to your morality or whatever nonsense you're working with but you can not never ever no how no way impose your moral presumption upon nature. This does not imply that human wisdom or discernment is irrelevant. It simply means that 'it is what it is' and human convention regarding meaning and morality does not apply - anyone who can wrap their noodle around this fact will save themselves mucho trabajo.
  6. Yes, there are powers and principalities that viciously tax our asses to advance a fucked up agenda. The idea or notion that we have any say on the matter is a joke. We're all going along for the ride whether we want to or not. Best to be proactive under these circumstances. A good first step is realizing politics and revolution is a waste of time.
  7. Forgive the gross oversimplification but everything and nothing. Its all convoluted and paradoxical when you try to actually explain it. Ultimate Truth can only be experienced. I know what you're driving at but I'm beyond employing the either/or approach to enlightenment. Been there, done that. I just can't satisfactorily explain what being an infinite miracle is without holding up an inferior signpost which just prompts you to point out how weak my signpost is. Seems to me like these things go together but whatever works for you.
  8. I guess we need to get enough voters together so we can vote the system out of power. Next election we can use the vote to politely ask the power meanies to stop screwing us... Good luck with that.
  9. Sleep? Oblivion?
  10. We love to play these games where we chase our own tails. The source of Truth is within you - it is you.
  11. I can understand one's reluctance to shrooms or any other psychedelic for that matter and I would be the first one to say they are definitely not for everyone but there's no denying its a great shortcut and you only need to try it once. There's no guarantees but there are ways they can be done safely (certain types of retreats, trip sitters etc). As Alan Watts put it, once you get the message you can hang up the phone which is good advice because while drugs can break down a lot of barriers, they can't take you the whole way. With or without psychedelics I recommend tons of silence and solitude. Deep existential silence, if achieved, is the most powerful solvent in the Reality. Illusion and false consciousness/identity just evaporate in its midst. It provides a real and meaningful perspective that is extremely conducive of gnosis. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose so yes, its worth it.
  12. I'd say Truth is an experience. A gift. A deeply personal experience/gift that cannot be shared or given to another (if you want to play that game and acknowledge other), least of all through verbal communication. I can describe that experience and label it (I prefer gnosis to awakened or enlightened) but the words will never encapsulate the experience in a way that does it any kind of justice - especially to the uninitiated - that much is true. But yeah, I hear ya, when you've been gifted that very specific revelation you can get tired of being told you don't really know what you know that you know. Like the Oracle said to Neo, its like being in love. No one can tell you you're in love, you just know it.
  13. Thank god. Who wants to be burdened with the demands of universal meaning?
  14. I agree, its beyond rationality and logic thus our only recourse to consider it is by metaphor. Any metaphor or idea one can generate concerning reality is a limitation it is not bound by. So yeah, no argument from me.
  15. Maybe he recently got wise and figured out politics is show biz for ugly people and voting is a profane indulgence and decided the distraction wasn't worth his sanity and energy anymore. I don't know, I can't speak for him. Pretty sure I heard him say playing the blame game is stupid so maybe he's taking his own advice.
  16. No you can't. We are a mystery that knows itself by putting a boundary of logic between itself. Pretty cool, imo. It's the same thing Im pointing too minus the label. "Bored and lonely god" is a made up convenience like time to express something beyond logic.
  17. What is reality? Language fails which is why we are forced into metaphorical allegory but if I may be permitted to indulge in some grotesque metaphysical reductionism like our scientific materialist cults do Id say reality is what an old, bored and lonely god looks like.
  18. Maybe Leo has bigger fish to fry than what's going on in the external world of man. What is Leo talking about it going to accomplish? Plenty of talking heads are talking about this and have been for decades despite some of the consequences and what has that done?
  19. Why would I waste my time worrying about this?
  20. Epistemic responsibility sounds like trying to torture meaning into existence when it doesn't need it. Especially when you start hearing about sacrificing X for truth. I guess it sounds good but you need more balls than brains.
  21. It can become unhealthy if and when you go rotten and start power tripping. There's other hazards. It comes down to how you integrate the revelation. Other than that, there's no doubt about what that revelation is so very little is gained by going into denial about it like some broken human would.
