  1. It’s funny because I’ve always heard people saying this, but it’s not true in my experience. I’m married now, but before this I was very successful with women, and I always did my best to be a true gentleman and treat women with kindness. Confident women know they deserve to be treated well. I think this is very clear to see when observing teenagers, young girls with low self esteem don’t know they deserve to be treated well (unconsciously). This changes when they become adults, at least if they develop into a confident, self loving woman. Obviously no one likes a weak guy or a loser, but that’s different. Besides, it feels great to be nice to people, I wouldn’t want to avoid doing something that feels great just so that someone will like me. Then they won’t even like the real me. Kindness is great.
  2. I had my first baby around four months ago. Before that, I had a daily meditation practice for several years. Since the baby arrived, I’ve only meditated a handful of times. I’m extremely tired, I really just have energy for work, taking care of the baby, and do whatever else the household needs. As of now, I don’t really care about spirituality. I don’t exist? Well cool, the baby is still crying at 3am. I’m very early in this family journey, but right now spirituality feels far away and irrelevant. Maybe that will change with time. I don’t like my loss of interest in spirituality. Which is why I’m reading posts on this forum now, which might spark a bit of interest again. At least until the baby starts crying again…
