  1. @ivankiss exactly. I said that it's "not useful" to confuse the real with the imaginary. But confusion is true and real and there's nothing wrong with that. And there's no need to distinguish anything but distinction can be useful even if it's imaginary.
  2. When I say that the distinction between self and other is imaginary, what I mean is that it's mental. Like we draw mental lines on a territory and we say that those lines separate countries. There are no separating lines in the "outside world", those lines are only mental constructions. And mental experiences, thoughts are also real, because, well, we experience them. But they are not the same as the "outside world", thoughts are a mental layer on the "outside world". But it's not useful to confuse the mental layer with the actual "outside world", that's why we have the mental distinction of "real" and "imaginary". And when I say "outside world", I mean the inside world. Because the self is the empty space inside which everything happens. The self doesn't have any energy, the self is just the context in which everything happens. But the distinction between context and content is imaginary. Context and content are one whole being. Context doesn't exist without content and content doesn't exist without context. And the distinction between existence and non-existence is imaginary. Existence doesn't exist without non-existence and non-existence doesn't exist without existence. And I guess this is where the limit of language is, but it goes even deeper than language.
  3. And what if the self doesn't have any energy? What if every self is an empty space in which others can appear? So we don't exist for ourself and we're still inside each other. In fact we're inside each other so much that there isn't a line where the self ends and the other starts. What if this is why the distinction between self and other is imaginary? It's a bit strange loopy, give yourself some time to wrap your mind around it
  4. Yeah, because the "whatever you want during the day" is actually also vegan I guess At least that's how it works for me. I eat whatever I want, and that's exactly why I eat vegetarian food
  5. How did you go vegan overnight? Did you just simply skip the midnight bacon?
  6. @VeganAwake Are you able to eat a hamburger to crush your vegan identity? (I also don't eat meat btw)
  7. Suffering shakes up everything so that you can choose how you want to reconstruct your sand castle
  8. Maybe I should wash my hands more often...
  9. I had to take a large dose of 5meo to experience this. Dudes nowadays get these realizations just by laying around on couches... I feel offended
  10. I don't get you... Have you ever seen a teenage girl in a shopping center with too much makeup making a selfie while showing duck faces with her "girlfriends"? Yeah, that's you a few lifetimes ago when you didn't have any suffering in your life. You totally wasted that life, you haven't done any development, any self actualization and you certainly didn't care about spirituality. Before you were born to this life, you made a better choice. You chose to suffer to trigger your desire of self actualization. Congratulations, that was probably your best decision in the last 50 years. Now man up to it and stop feeling sorry for yourself.
  11. I chose this quote because at that time I was continuously looking forward to the future. This quote reminded me to appreciate the present moment instead of fantasising about the future all the time. I wouldn't call it a belief, it's more like an observation. The future doesn't exist. Nobody has ever experienced the future. The only thing that we can experience is the present moment, the here and now. "Nothing happens next. This is it." for me this emphasizes that nothing is gonna be more important than the present moment. Right here, right now, Nothingness is existing and Existence is being nothing. What could be more extraordinary than this?
  12. Thank you. I'm hearing it less and less from people that they can relate to me This is one reason why I ride a motorbike. It's like having a gun pointed at me every day. I don't understand how is it even legal. But it's great for reminding me of the impermanence of a human life. And I think when it's a life and death situation, you won't have time to be afraid. I haven't gone that deep with my investigations related to the freedom of choice. But it's definitely worth a meditation from my side. Thank you! I'm glad I could help. This is a beautiful quote from Ken indeed, I love his work. Thank you, sir! Then drop the bullshit! Can you really damage yourself? Are you a form that can be hurt or damaged in any way? Thank you ??
  13. It's weird, isn't it? You've died a few times and you came back. You were Infinity, God, Everything and Nothing and all of that at the same time. You felt like everything has changed. And it did, on the inside. But at the same time, externally everything remained the same. You still make mistakes, you still have arguments with people. You're analyzing these events in retrospect and you don't understand how could it have happened. You're totally fearless in your soul, and even in your thoughts. But when it comes to action, the conditioning takes the driver seat. You still meditate because it feels good. And sometimes you can have deeper meditations and deeper insights than ever before. But at the same time, you feel stuck. You've had your great spiritual experiences and you've realized that getting more of those won't really give anything helpful to you this time. So you're not a seeker anymore. But you're not a master yet, you still act out your conditioning. When I'm talking about you, I'm obviously talking about myself. I think I've found a way, and I'm writing it down now for the first time. Everybody is on a different stage of development. Some people still need to do some shadow work, still need to face their deepest fears. But have you noticed that whenever you look directly into your fear, it just disappears? It's pretty hard to do shadow work when the object of your observation keeps disappearing... Yeah, it's because you and I don't really have fears anymore, we just act like we're afraid. It's just a conditioned reaction. If you sincerely look into the depth of your being, you can see that fear doesn't have a root there anymore. So if you can sincerely say that deep down you're not afraid, then basically the only thing you have to do is to bring this fearlessness out into the manifested world through sincerity. So for us, sincerity might be one way to become the masters of life that we were always meant to be. Sincerity has some helpful implications. First of all: it silences the mind. Now that you had some non-dual experiences, you know that reality cannot be described by any thought. Therefore, no thought is a totally sincere thought. And of course, this doesn't mean that you shouldn't think or say anything for the rest of your life. Committing to sincerity silences mostly the unnecessary thinking. And if you're sincere with yourself, you'll know which kind of thinking is unnecessary. Sincerity also affects emotions. Whenever you feel down, you can ask yourself: is it necessary for me to feel this way right now? The sincere answer to this question would be "No" or something similar, but you might have to wait for it a minute or two. Sincerity says that whatever is, is. Whatever is happening, that is the Truth. This realization can be very helpful for your emotions to stop opposing reality. If sincerity would mean that you always "have to" say the truth, then it would be a too simplistic rule that is unfit for the complexity of everyday situations. In some situations, you won't tell someone the whole truth, and that's okay, this doesn't mean that you've failed. You can always sincerely admit to yourself that in that particular situation you weren't able to tell the truth. This is still better than lying to yourself about your own sincerity. Sincerity and seeing Truth are also useful for developing your attitude towards life. Everything that happens is true, that is the Truth of life. Any judgment towards life, whether you think that the events in your life are good or bad, fair or unfair, or any kind of judgment like this is irrelevant to the Truth of life. Whatever happens, happens, and whatever happens, that is the Truth. Mental concepts like "should" or "could" are just artificial illusions, these will never be truer than what's already happening. Mental arguments will always be irrelevant compared to the Truth of life. So is the arguing with life really necessary? For me, sincerity feels like a flow. It feels like stepping into the current of life and letting it take me, rather than resisting it. It's a bit deeper than a thought or an emotion. It's more like an attitude of willingness towards whatever is happening. It's like my will becomes in tune with life's will. Like, whatever happens, it is exactly how I want it to happen because it's the Truth of life, so it's also the Truth of my being. I was hoping that I can transmit this to you. Did you get it? I will do my best to answer sincerely to any question you might ask
  14. It feels like he kept it shallow because he really got afraid of shrooms
  15. Check out the Tales from the Trip video series. You'll enjoy them. Thank me later
  16. What are you serious about? Are you serious about your goals? Are you serious about getting a girlfriend/boyfriend? Are you serious about earning more money? Are you serious about reaching enlightenment? Are you serious about knowing the Truth? Are you serious about becoming more loving? Are you serious about your relationships with others? Are you serious about how others see you? Are you serious about helping others? Are you serious about your responsibilities? Are you serious about fairness? Are you serious about faithfulness? Are you serious about life? Are you serious about death? ************************* Notice that seriousness is an attitude. This attitude can appear only when we don't understand deeply the impermanent and relative nature of reality. Seriousness can come only from short-sightedness. We might feel that we need to be serious about our goals in order to reach them. But in reality, we only need a sincere desire for going forward. We might feel that we have to be serious about our relationship with others to make it balanced and beneficial for both sides. But in reality, we only need to be sincere with others and with ourselves. We might feel that we have to be serious about death in order to live a long and fulfilled life. But in reality, we only need to be sincere in admitting that we don't even know what death is. This is my perspective. Now I'm interested in yours.
  17. If you want to look at the World as if it was an object, then it becomes indescribable. The World is infinite with infinite variations. In this world I'm sitting with my laptop on my lap, in another world I don't exist, in another world I'm sitting on the ceiling, and in another world I have a dick on my forehead. This multidimensional World is infinite in every aspect. It's like a TV with infinite channels that show infinite movies in infinite variations. So the structure of the World is simply Absolute Infinity. But Consciousness chooses which channel to watch, and here comes the love into the picture. Consciousness by her nature expresses love towards everything that she perceives, and she always chooses to perceive the objects and events that teach her to express her love in deeper and deeper ways. If she finds it helpful to perceive structure in the World, then she will perceive the structure. If she desires to perceive the most profound simplicity of being, then she won't perceive a structure because Being is prior to structure. You see, Reality is not something out there. Things can only exist when they're perceived, so Reality is not really an object. Reality is the seeming relationship between the perceiver and the perceived. So when we're talking about the structure of Reality, we're really talking about the structure of this relationship. And the way Consciousness relates to the World is "structured" to deepen (and therefore maximize) her love. Let me know if you disagree with any of this because I want to understand your honest perspective on this.
  18. You're suggesting that this reality has more love than the alternative reality where I have a dick on my forehead. *dickhead emoji* Do you see the problem here? If you're saying that reality is structured to maximize love then what you're suggesting is that this reality has more love than all the other alternative realities. It's the same attitude as saying that the US is the best country in the world, without ever visiting any other country. I think love is not a result of a structure. Love is the fundamental substance of existence. The worst reality structure that you can ever imagine is made of love and expresses infinity love, just by existing. Everything that exists is love, because it is true.
  19. Karma is a scary concept only from the point of view of the ego. Karma means "doing", and it's a self-chosen doing. What many people don't like to admit is that deep down (on the soul level) we like difficulty more than comfort. We like constant change more than a predictable life. Karma is not an outside force, Karma is what the soul chooses to do. If you have a difficult life then in that life there's a very important and profound lesson that the soul wants to learn. If the ego terminates this life then the "karmic consequence" is that the soul might skip this lesson now, and she might retry to learn this lesson later when she's more developed. But a more developed soul will play the same game on a higher level which will result in an even more extraordinary life. When we have suicidal thoughts, we're trying to move towards comfort by escaping the pain. What we don't realize is that the goal of the soul is never comfort.
  20. Then please elaborate. I've done 5-meo many times, I've experienced infinite love, and I still don't understand what you mean when you're saying that reality is structured to maximize love. I also think that you didn't understand what I meant when I said that structure is an illusion, so let me elaborate on that. If you look at a house from the outside, you could say that the house is over there and the structure of the house is that it has 4 rooms. But then go inside the house and now the house is something that's around you, and it doesn't have four rooms anymore because, now from your perspective, the house starts at the walls that surround you. Do you see now that structure is relative to your perspective? Structure is not an objective thing, structure is one of the pattern-matching functions of the human mind.
  21. I needed a whole day to get to this insight. Nice! Leo, your answer got my attention yesterday because it didn't feel right. Now I think I know why: what you're saying suggests that love depends on structure. If reality is structured to maximize love then this means that there could be an alternative reality which is not structured to maximize love. And if there could be an alternative reality of this kind that means that there already is (because of the infinite nature of existence). Do you see the problem here? I think reality doesn't have a structure because structure is imaginary, it's a relational mapping in the mind. So if reality had a structure that would mean that the fundamental nature of reality is comprehensible by the mind. I'm not trying to pick on your word choice, I'm just showing you that your audience is ready for your next level teachings.
  22. The balance is love. You have to love yourself as much as you love the other person. And don't try to "teach yourself", life will do it for you, you just have to pay attention to the lessons. The perspective of "being stepped on" is relative to the social conditioning that you have. Society might say that you let someone to step on you but actually you're just acting out of unconditional love. One thing to be very careful about though... You can give everything to a person, but never waste time on them. Wasting time is the most harmful thing for your development and usually nobody is benefiting from it. I hope I answered your question, otherwise I can elaborate on it in more detail
