  1. Why not? These are my 2 favourite clips on love / relationships so far. The same things said in two different ways. Yes. I feel that they are both right. You still have to commit to yourself fully when you're with someone. It's like you're single, but you're not.
  2. From my understanding, it's inner peace. You are whole. You don't need anything else to complete you no matter what the situation because you are able to handle the situation no matter what. Here's someone explaining it further: This is another one of my favourite clips that I posted already: Looks very peaceful. I feel like going there for a visit to see how they live now. I wonder if they have built a good hospital nearby or have good security now. What is your take on happiness?
  3. Here's a thought: What if happiness is an empty glass? What would you put in it? For me, I wouldn't put excitement in it. I'm not saying that excitement is bad. I'm just saying that it could get extreme - in both ways - the positive and negative. If I put peace in it, there are more chances of it being calm and tranquil. Now, bliss is heavenly joy, the enlightenment state. Although, it's a great state, it's going to pass and we still have to come back to this earth phenomenon and deal with different situations.
  4. In such cases, would you have remained calm, like those people sitting in the tour truck?
  5. So, bliss is peace?
  6. Hmmm...ok. But, you just said: What's the difference between happiness and unhappiness?
  7. @Prabhaker How will you communicate what you said in a practical sense? Let's say we can't speak words. Please give examples of situations. Like, for example, if you just said that happiness has nothing to do with any emotions (aka excitement), many may not be able to relate.
  8. "Your best teacher is your last mistake." "Maturity... is the ability to take responsibility for the mistakes you make and spend more of your time in a consciousness of love." -Lynne Namka
  9. @Leo Gura How was your time at the woods? Discover anything? Just curious. (You know, anything...maybe even some ah-ha moments. I like those. )
  10. Shin, when you are older and have a life purpose, your odds of making long term / authentic friends are much higher. You have something great to talk about, especially if both have life purposes toward an end goal. Meeting authentic friends are few. You will meet lots of acquaintances.
  11. @Prabhaker Yes, that's what I meant.
  12. Oh man...??????????...hey girl, be careful.
  13. I agree that aloneness is peace, but monks live in joint families (aka sangas, groups) and they also have peace of mind. They live with many, yet alone and in peace. They help each other when needed. This type of detachment / peace / love can be done in a regular family.
  14. "You're always one decision away from a totally different life." "The Sun is alone too but it still shines."
  15. "The Ego is an exquisite instrument. Enjoy it, use it-just don't get lost in it." -Ram Dass
  16. Q: How much "ego" do you need? A: Just enough so that you don't step in front of a bus.
  17. Awww how cute. Cute baby pic. Bundle of joy! Very spherical too with stars. Are you an indigo child?
  18. If you could realize that you are simply peace in everyday life, then aloneness is just another passing emotion, just like a train passing by. Then, you could work on whatever it is that you're working on. The "ideas" are all coming from "you" aka nothingness, aka peace. We all have these talents coming from nothingness waiting for us to unravel them in some way, to contribute in some way. Maybe it's been there since childhood but you weren't fully aware of them till now.
  19. Oh ok. But, this thread sounds serious. Why do you think a person should continue living life?
  20. That's not what I'm saying. I'm not telling everyone to just get up and go live in a cottage and ignore everyone who is suffering. You missed the point. Anyway, there's so many info in the life purpose section. I already shared some stuff there. Why talk about it here? We all know that life is not about giving up. There's a reason why we have our talents from within to uncover.
  21. Now, I don't want to say too much here. It will take too long, but I do invite you to think about it. I will keep it simple. A lack of education causes problems, not a lack of money. This includes not going into spirituality objectively. Some people in this world live "wealthy" with very little to no money, although it has its flaws when you live this way. It's the reason why maps like Maslow and Spiral Dynamics are there. And, don't forget the saying, "You give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for life." It's too bad when you try to teach someone, not everyone is willing to learn. I posted this before:
  22. At 5:48 of the clip below, the cook is making a vegetarian diet for the Shaolin monks (China). Not everyone is non-veg.
  23. @Annetta If you like Indian music, that's great. What you posted is a typical Bollywood music. But, I'm not sure how does it relate to enlightenment. (Do you understand the Hindi language somewhat?)
