  1. Like the west doesn't experience similar levels of inequality. That's a weak strawman of China.
  2. The Marxist propaganda intensifies! And the worst part is, that I agree with everything. Hell yea! Nothing will prevent Willy.
  3. I think I'm better off not reading such a book about economics. There is a bigger chance I'll be indoctrinated into a foolish economic philosophy like marxism or libertarianism than actually deeply understanding how the economy works. Thus I'm better off contemplating using only my direct experience and my own reasoning on such complex subject. This is probably the only way to avoid self deception.
  4. Thanks a lot Leo for creating the book list. I was blown away by the books I saw in there, I never heard of 99% of the books you have listed there. I'm a bit sad because I thought I'd find a book about understanding economics. About understanding how governments should handle the economy, how economy works and how could the government handle the economy better, a book that goes into detail about privatisation vs nationalization. I hope you will add such a book in the future!
  5. Why has everything gotten so god damn expensive in the last 5 years? Here in Europe I have the same wages I had in 2020, and I barely can afford to buy food. In 2019 I could fill my fridge with the money I earned, right now I have to organize how much I spend on food so that I don't starve by the end of the month. What is the reason for this sky high inflation? Is it the gigantic public debts? Is it because everything was privatized by the state to private owners? Is it greedflation? Is it that the government is not involved enough in economy? Should key industries be nationalised? Is it because of democracy? Do we need dictatorships? Should we adopt the authoritarian dictatorial model of China? Is it because we stopped buying gas from Russia? I doubt this is the case because America has the same inflation problem, yet they don't relly on cheap Russian gas. I am genuinely interested in this subject and I want to bootstrap inquiry, rather than watching random people on YouTube share their baised and partisan opinions. Thats why I came to this forum to ask this question. Please give me your thoughts.
  6. I've read a lot of your posts since I'm on the forum but the topic you made where you told Leo to delete the forum and to kill his father was the most jaw dropping topic I've seen since I'm here. I have some friends in France that always do cocaine there and I thought you must have done some French cocaine when you wrote that topic. I said that because you usually post great stuff. But that post was out of this world 🤣😎
  7. @Schizophonia I also believe that the reason the money has devalued greatly since WW2 is because back then the world's population was a bit above 2 billion people. Now we are past 8 billion. In my eyes this is the biggest reason why money lost value. Because there is a much larger pool of people that need resources such as food, housing, petrol, clothes, energy etc, thus all the prices have gone up, because of the 4 times increase in demand. In my book overpopulation is the nr.1 reason for inflation.
  8. Basically this video tells us that the reason marxism/communism/nationalism/fascism fails is because those ideologies are way too narrow, too close minded, too simplistic to solve systemic issues. All these ideologies present pie in the sky solutions to problems that have existed since the dawn of human civilization. The issue Marxism/Communism/Socialism fails is because it tries to solve a tier 2 problem with the tier 1 thinking. If you are a apprentice mechanic you can't solve complex and systemic problems that a failed engine has. Only an expert mechanic can do that. You can't solve tier 2 systemic problems with tier 1 tools. To expect that communism would fix the inherent problems of capitalism and inequality is as foolish as expecting that you can build a house by only using a hammer. It's preposterous! That's why all ideologies must fail and will fail. Reality is too broad and complex to expect that it can be fixed by narrow, closeminded and self deceived sets of values and principles.
  9. @ted73104 but every country has debt! And the debt isn't supposed to be fully paid. Debt is a financial instrument for progress. We buy things with debt today to have them today, not to have them after 100 years when we finally have saved enough money to buy them. Gigantic debt is problematic, but more problematic is to have 0 debt because then your economy is like a car that has no fuel. Debt is what is fueling the economy. The catch is to not have the fuel tank overfilled, and if a war or crisis ignites the fuel that overspilled on the car's body, the entire car could burn down. That's my understanding of debt thus far.
  10. So basically inflation happens when we the westerners are less productive than we used to be. Because our work produces less business, the money become more weak. Plus the public debts that actually rebuilt the west after ww2. You got the present day situation.
  11. @Schizophonia This is great analysis. And finally, you laid down that French cocaine you were doing when you wrote that post where you advocate for Leo to delete the forum😎🤣
  12. Thank you guys! Cheers 🥂
  13. This is so calm and pleasant!
  14. @ted73104 thanks a lot for your answer!
  15. Because of Leo, I'm at a point where I downright dismiss as BS every conspiracy theory in existence. The second I remotely feel like someone is engaged in conspiracy theories of any kind, I know that person has nothing to do with truth. When the Right Wingers tell me that Soros controls the western governments, I feel an intense need to vomit. Because of Leo I can no longer stand even listening to conspiracy theories without physical discomfort.
  16. This song is so wicked and EVIL <3. Man I missed listening to rock and metal. I feel like an 18 year old again.
  17. Hi @Leo Gura! I just bought your book list. I wanted to buy it since 2019 but for some reason I never had enough money to buy it. Now that I've bought it I'm so happy! Literally I'm the happiest I've ever been. I never been so happy not even when I proposed to my fiancee. I'm like a child in front of the Christmas tree. This means a lot to me because I finally could repay a small token of appreciation for saving my life. Had I not learned spiral dynamics from you, had I not ditched the stage red friends I had from elementary school, I'd have been dead with them in 2022 when they drove while drunk and hit a bridgehead and died. I owe you that. Without you, I wouldn't have ever heard about spiral dynamics. I wouldn't have realized that the friends I was hanging out were at the most dangerous stage of development (RED), and I'd have still hung out with them and I would have died with them. I can't wait to embark on this life long journey of reading. I jumped straight to the politics & government section. I am really lost when it comes to politics and I am sure that by reading the books you are recommending on your book list I will get a lot of clarity. Can't wait to also buy the life purpose course. Thanks a lot. Your work is unparalleled!
  18. I thought we have a guideline that clearly states that the users of this forum shall not write posts while drunk, high on french cocaine or under psychedelic influence. Here it is: No wild-eyed ranting and raving, or posting while drunk or high.
  19. When you span 11 time zones, when you have a history of 500 years of imperialism, don't get surprised if smaller countries ally themselves together to not become your vassal.
  20. This is jaw dropping analysis, but jaw dropping for the wrong reasons. It was Russia who groped Ukraine's ass since Ukraine emerged as a separate entity from Russia. It was Russia who meddled in Ukraine's internal affairs since 1991. It was Russia who violated every written agreement with Ukraine. Russia groped Ukraine's ass, touched its private parts non stop. But when finally Ukraine had begun befriending the west to protect her from the abusive behaviour of Russia, Russia decided to cut Ukraine's ass with a chainsaw. To send her a message that Russia does to Ukraine whatever Russia wants. Russia was the surprised one because Russia expected that she can violate Ukrainian sovereignty forever. No one likes bullies. Don't blame the police when it comes to defend someone who is being abused for centuries.
  21. I believe the reason for inflation is the massive deficit spending and the massive public debt that the governments of the west have cultivated since the end of WW2. And because of the enormous public debt, it is in government's interest to artificially devalue the currency via overprinting, so that people have to produce more economic output to have the same lifestyle as few years ago, thus people pay more money in taxes, that money now going to repay little by little the public debt. That's my pre existing belief.
  22. Thanks!@Twentyfirst I bookmarked your response. It is something I truly needed to read. The thing with me is that I am not lazy, but as soon as I can get the most basic survival stuff, my incentive to work extra is at 0. And the problem with me is that I need so little to be happy. All my clothes are from second hand stores, I always wear construction work clothes and boots. I focus all my free time on nerdy stuff such as contemplating various political subjects or reading. I get more happines by learning why inflation happens than if I earn 100€ extra. I don't care about material stuff. Only basic necessities
  23. Finally an aswer that addresses my original question. Thanks for sharing @Vali2003
  24. Lack of personal ambition? Probably.
