It's one tool to get through a difficult work to get a grasp on it before doing the slower and ACTUAL reading but not more. If you want to improve on this, what you do is you accept that other parts of your brain don't catch up. You can also speed-skim the text instead if you're doing this technique. I wouldn't worry much about it and wouldn't engage in it. If you're doing 200 WPM+ you're likely, without exaggeration, literally missing out on the book that you are reading. 300 WPM+ is utterly missing out on the book, other parts of your brain just don't catch up, it's the definition of going into one ear and out the other. Let alone if it's an especially difficult work. If it's a fiction book that isn't that dense and you are feeling like going faster, then 160 or so is acceptable. When someone says "I read 20 books this year." the chances are they didn't. They got a reading list and wanted to tick things off because this made them feel like a successful, educated individual. But this doesn't avail anything in the end.

If people were honest, there wouldn't be any dichotomy between sexually successful and sexually unsuccessful. Think of the premise for the world. We have humans, we have 2 biological sexes and they can do an activity which brings them pleasure. Other activities that bring pleasure such as food and masturbation are done constantly, people can get addicted to them. Millions of years of evolution have been spent programming females into wanting a man who genetically signals success with things like looks. This is tied to survival. You got those premises? Good. Now imagine the result being a world where to attain this, people commit rape, exchange career opportunities, have organized human trafficking and even circles where men are given access to women who are presumably either doing it for money or are brainwashed into submission. Why don't they just use regular means to attain sex? You'd think it follows that even a 3/10 guy would have some qualities which would sexually arouse girls and make him good enough for casual sex. Not for a long term relationship, but certainly for casual sex. But the truth is the extreme opposite. Why?

I've had girls flirt with me in high school and then when I finished it I instantly became a rando creep to girls. My looks didn't change, if anything they became better. Someone who chose boxing as a highly serious career choice (AKA a highly non-casual one), and who is about to persevere despite the opponent being much better, should not be discouraged, especially if they want to. Women don't think the same as you. Their approach to sex and relationships is gamified. Of course they aren't the same as you AKA wanting to have more sex. If that was the case, they would approach you, just like has happened and will happen with, let's say, an Australian or UK girl, it's completely effortless to get women from countries in which they have an actual sex drive. They think of it as a game because when something has practically infinite demand and nearly zero supply, then the person who provides it gets to be paid a lot. A girl should be fully aware that a guy has zero opportunities and therefore knows that the guy is much more likely to put up with her even if her personality is a 0/10. Why? Today I had a dream that an entity from another plane could speak to me, and I was in the role of a black male who was seeking out and then talked to another guy who looked somewhat asiatic with an extremely short beard, basically like the way muslims style it. We were in a slightly dimly lit room. The entity said something along the lines of "Yes I do speak to both of you and you should tell it to the other person." and it let me know that it was simultaneously saying this exact thing to the other person. As I was about to tell the asian man that I know the entity also speaks to him, and speaks to me, I woke up inside of the dream in an exact replica of my room, with him sitting on the side of the bed. There was a bizarre shadow on the roof of my room, and in suspicion of it looking like a demon or the entity that speaks to us, with mouth wide open and heavily shaking both in the dream and in real life, I tried to get a better look at this entity, it was talking during this time and saying something interesting sounding about what the two of us should do, but I woke up from fear due to this. When I woke up, I saw my room in the exact same way it was in the dream, but with the man and the supernatural shadow missing. If your unconscious mind can quite literally predict exactly what my movements during sleep will be, to show me, from the exact angle and position, what I would be seeing if I woke up, then it could possibly practically mind-read other people and predict their behavior. There is an incredible amount of untapped potential there, who knows what could be possible if someone found a way to get to it.
