  1. @Princess Arabia im not gonna lie i literally understood 0 of your paragraphs and how they relate to my argument, except for the fact that u disagree with me. im open for a discussion, but would u care to elaborate? No proof of any creation? what does the fact that nothing that appears is permanent proof? what intelligence is obvious? okay i see what u mean by the last paragraph lol, we can use any word we want, but lets not confuse ourselves more than necessary
  2. @BipolarGrowth ill be taking a closer look at the article. however im still curious as to how you would ever verify the "existence" of something non-experiential? Even in deep sleep, there is the experience of total nothingness or a complete void, some would perhaps label this as non-experience or unconsciousness. However something is still aware of experiencing the non experience, otherwise deep sleep would just be a literal time skip until you woke up again, and you would never had known there was a cessation of phenomena, in which case the non experiential would not exist neither. when you wake up, you are aware that there was a period in which all phenomena ceased. you would not be aware of this period of "non-experience" if you were not still aware during the period it happened my point is that you can never verify something "unconscious" or "non experiential". you can experience the lack of all phenomena, which would be something like deep sleep, however even that is still an experience. the fact that you are able to contrast experience to so called "non experience", is proof that even "non experience" is in itself an experience EDIT; also im fairly certain you're misinterpreting the article. hes talking about physical consciousness (vinanna) and metaphysical consciousness (chitta). this video clarifies it quite distinctly (if u dont have time for the whole video, he talks about it specifically from 18:00 and on) Chitta basically means the same in hinduism, sadhguru quote; "Chitta is mind without memory – pure intelligence. This intelligence is like the cosmic intelligence – simply there. Everything happens because of that. It does not function out of memory – it simply functions. In a way, what you call cosmos is a living mind, not in the sense of intellect but in the sense of chitta." (this is the guy who wrote the article)
  3. @BipolarGrowth how can you "see it" without any experience or consciousness at all? EDIT; quickly scimmed through the pdf u linked, interesting stuff, but i dont see it supporting your argument that the highest state is non experience / unconsciousness, quite on the contrary, the article refers to "chitta" or mind as consciousness. its refered to as immortal and unconditioned. (note that i just quickly looked through the article so i might be wrong)
  4. i agree totally LOL, being aware of the infinite non existence that is behind your eyeballs is pretty strange loopy
  5. @Breakingthewall just looking through his comments on this forum completely validates that hes a fraud. SUPER obvious and im usually easily fooledxD lol
  6. i would absolutley love a video on buddhism, perhaps with emphasis on the concept of anatta (no-Self). not small self, BIG SELF. (people get this confused often), dependent origination would also be nice to see reconciled with leos teachings. it could be a nice combo package with the traps of atheism extending to the traps of buddhism
  7. very nice post, i especially like the last paragraph i've been contemplating the topic of deep sleep a lot, since at first it posed a contradiction to my understanding of awareness as an absolute. however after months of investigation i can say that i concur completely with your findings
  8. that analogy proves literally nothing. whether you believe solipsism is true or not, its virtually completely impossible to disprove it. you could swap your consciousness into another human being for an hour and experience their perspective, but solipsism would still hold, because you still did not experience anything outside your own experience. the theory of solipsism is yes, it works pretty much like a video game, and quantum mechanics support this. the world only renders when it is observed by a conscious agent, until that point it exists only as potentiality
  9. am i literally looking at the inside of my own physicality? the inside of my own brain?? if i zoom out or in far enough i end up RIGHT BACK HERE where i am right now. so i am literally inside myself, and actions caused in the external are actually internal and if so, is it implausible to suggest that actions in the external world cause ripple effects which ultimately end up affecting my own internal wellbeing, physical as well as psychological?
  10. @Razard86 thats pretty much all im doing. however i find it difficult to distinguish between whats true and whats self deception. i mean u can pretty much condition the mind to believe anything is true
  11. i havent yet tried dmt, but ive probably listened to 50 hours+ of trip repots (lol), and i think the similarities to NDEs are fucking extraordinary. I just watched this, watch if u feel like it, super interesting. to sum it up: this guy specializes in NDEs, and he basically in detail describes his research of NDEs, and it literally sounds EXCACTLY like what 90% of DMT breakthrough reports. additionally he describes some super interesting cases, where people through their NDEs have acquired information which they couldnt possibly have gotten logically. he also describes a women born blind, having an NDE and experiencing visual perception in the afterlife realm / (DMT realm?) but yea, what do u guys think the dmt realm, and the DMT entites are? is it some kind of pre birth server, or is it some kind of playground for transcended beings?? its so fucking mysterious haha
  12. ive recently come to appreciate the beauty of strange loops. i love how the absolute is so reflected in the relative. traces of infinity are laced all throughout the finite. the universe has such a poetic design lol
  13. i agree solely from personal experience (which is ofc limited in the overall picture), that 99% of people i talk to seem to not give a fuck about the mystery of life. its fucking irritating cus i have like 3 or 4 people in real life that i can talk existential and metaphysical stuff with, literally everyone else look weird at me and quickly process the conversation when i try to hint them towards the mystery of life
  14. i dont think so. heres why. so first off we gotta establish what is meant by non-existence. heres how i would explain non existence from an individualised subjective point of view. Say you just drove home from work in your car, and went into your room. you are sitting in your room looking at your wall and nothing else. literally everything which is not in you direct experience while looking at the wall is non existent. the car you just left is non existing from you point of view. notice that the car is not some sort of a "blank",or are an empty spot. the car is simply not existing. another way to describe non existence would be the current visual perception you're experiencing through for example your feet. notice the absense of visual perception everywhere except through your eyes. thats non existence. its not a blank, or an emptiness, its simply not there, nothing at all. i dont think i was able to explain it very well lol, but if you understand what i mean,i think this definition of non existence is pretty good. and i dont think sleep applies to this definition of non existence. when we are sleeping, theres still something there. its not non existing the same way that literally everything not in your direct experience right now is. i would rather describe deep sleep as a blank, emptiness, or a lack of all sorts of apperances, here under physical objects, emotions, sensations and thoughts. i think if we remove all of these from the equation, we arrive at deep sleep. furthermore id argue that the experience of deep sleep is actually also present during waking experience. it simply gets clouded by apperances, sensations, emotions and thoughts.
  15. @James123 haha yea i see where u are going. ultimately there is absolutley nothing which can be known for sure, except that Being/perception/consciousnes is the case. and this thing seem to basically BE Being
  16. @James123 well i would define eternal as the lack of time. and time doesnt seem to apply to this thing, yet its there = eternal
  17. @James123 no, its literally eternal, i cant find a beginning nor an end to it. time literally doesnt apply to it. its just there LOL
  18. @James123 its like i can literally remember it being there pre birth, because its outside of time. im having a mini awakening right now wtf. is this really what people mean when they talk about the nothingness that never dies?
  19. @James123 wtf is that really it? it seems too obvious and simple lol. but it definetely doesnt seem like something that was born, since it is literally NOTHING
  20. ill put this in my tinder and insta bio and yea, although i would say that human definitions rarely hold ontological truth. i do agree however holy shit i just had an epiphany. the deep sleep state existed pre birth
  21. @Davino yea i do like that perspective, of sleep just being a time skip. and id agree that time is non existent during sleep, since there is a lack of all apperances, including time. however i dont think sleep qualifies as non existence. there seem to still be something observing the lack of apperances
  22. yea i agree with this alot. i suffered from pretty severe derealization that lasted for 2 years after smoking weed
