I think so too. This is why I don't fully like the advice of pursuing spirituality "later" in life. Imagine pursuing something so meaningful, energy intensive, and cognitive intensive when you are not at your peak years. You need huge intelligence for this work. And I don't think the "pursue" when you are older is a universal truth like people on this forum seem to believe. I think if you are on this forum chances are you are more intelligent than the average person, and I don't say this with arrogance at all, it's just my observation. If you are here I don't think you need to wait that much to pursue deep stuff. One should use, one's vitality, intelligence and freshness while one have it because tommorrow may never come. Just my 2c -
I think people are just too unconscious though. Like they have no awareness of thoughts, emotions, and so on, they are just in a constant state of hypnosis: Drunk on sex, drunk on power, drunk on money. Basically, machines reacting to primal instincts, there's no space, no consciousness. People just react to Biology. Also, no realization of impermanence, Death, and no self. The solution to corruption is wisdom and consciousness. The guru thing is real, but I think there are still legit gurus who is mega developed, but we probably don't know them and never will.

Which is the final stage? There's a final stage? How would one knowοΌ -
I don't agree with this. Power doesn't corrupt, some people(or most) ARE corrupt. Power just gives a opportunity for people to express their real self.

One can be assertive and have conviction and still be true, like the moment of awakening in a lucid dream -- certainty is a thing. Granted there are deluded people who have conviction and are full of shit. But that's not all and you shouldn't infer that those who are assertive are deluded. Outside where? Where's outside? You can use a thorn to remove a thorn. The only true thing for sure is that I am having an experience right now. And the other serious and certain thing might be Death. Everything else is up for grabs. -

There's no need to believe Leo, belief is useless if one knows and also if one doesn't know. For example do you believe in sunset? Do you see how stupid that question is? Thoughts and opinios are not "merely", it's one sense of self. Please explain what you mean by deeper than that. -

Meditation. Become more conscious and aware. -
It's only extra strange from humans Pov. From universe pov or an infinite loving being it makes no difference. Because they are selfish. Also, consider how silly it is worrying about somebody raping a child in your dreams. If reality is indeed a dream and you groked that at a bones and soul level then not worrying is indeed logical and perfectly fine. You don't care about the dream character getting burned alive in your last night dreams, it's just a memory for you now. God seems to "allow" everything because indeed everything might just be "somebody" playing with itself infinitely. God might values both, and therefore can't intervene. It might be an "AND" and not an "OR". You can only truly learn something by experiecing that thing. In the case of getting skinned alive, how could god know what it is like if it didn't go through that experience? Experience is irreplaceable and the only way to knowing and wisdom. It's good to ask, how did God became all-knowing? You only think of alternatives for that challenging experience because of your sense of self. If GOD is identical to the world and is not a separate entity out there deciding things, then our conversation here is pointless. Because reality just happens and it must be this way because of absolute infinity, so this is only a tiny possibility unfolding. Everything is absolutely neutral and impersonal, and at the same time insanely personal because there's nothing more than this and you must be it. This explains everything perfectly.

There's a difference between indifference and non-interference? This doen't seem crazy because freedom is really one of the ultimate values and highest in virtue. Giving freedom and therefore allowing errors and suffering is still much better than control and coercion. Freedom will give beings wisdom, love, and intelligence, but that might come through suffering, agony and errors. The whole point of spirituality is to attain to ever higher levels of freedom and sovereignty.

If you are a hedonist, that means you're no filled with consciousness inside. You need deep love not hedonism. Hedonism is a lack of wisdom and inwardness. -
I imagine a closed room filled with the most potent fart known to man.

Dude, ignore them. Or if you can, move away from them. Your family is just accidental, you didn't choose them, so you need not tolerate their bullshit if you can. They are no special, just selfish human beings. And yeah, most of humanity values success and money alot, those things became equivalent to life itself. It's stupid because these people think that success and money is an absolute good. Well, if it were all that, it couldn't be taken away by Death; it's just human bs don't pay much attention if you don't feel a calling towards those things yourself. If you don't care to be a millionaire, so be it, you're not inferior to anybody. Everybody think themselves so important, while Death laughs at the corner waiting for it's opportunity to humble and destroy them. If you just want to work a 9-5 and do spirituality, so be it, more power to you. Don't let anyone gaslight you with their bs, either from your family, other people, or forum users. Ambition and money is not an absolute good, even though stupid people think that way, they are just lost in ego, deception and unawareness. Be a light unto yourself. Follow your own path.

What is inner work for you? Survival related stuff? I'm afraid people here view spirituality and transcendence as inner work, but that might not be you.
