  1. I am in the same boat. That's partly why I did this poll. To see if it wasn't just me that's flying all over the place lol.
  2. @see_on_see Yes, for me it is easy to distinguish. It is like a pure white light, so it is obvious. Maybe turn off all the lights if you are having trouble seeing it.
  3. @see_on_see I have seen lights. Specifically a flickering white light when my eyes are pointed to Bhrumadhya. Granted I have practiced concentration/meditation 2 years prior before starting Kriya, which is probably why I can already see it. It is an internal light, generated by your mind when you have sufficient degrees of concentration. It is not the light that is coming from the room. Keep practicing, as your concentration improves you will eventually see the light.
  4. @moon777light Lol still should be interesting.
  5. @Paan The book recommends you practice Kriya 1-3 times per day.
  6. What is really happening when you are taking a psychedelic? Is your consciousness/awareness just being raised for a short period of time? Then you come back down to baseline? Is there a way to be at those levels of consciousness all the time? Without coming down? Like if I can just reach those levels of consciousness by meditating and doing yoga, why do I need psychedelics? Just for the insights? Or can they actually increase your baseline level of awareness?
  7. @herghly I don't think the hand position really matters. In Leo's blog post about yoga posture, he does a different hand position. Do whatever suits you.
  8. @herghly I inhale and exhale both through the nose, but I believe exhaling through the mouth would also be acceptable.
  9. The Mukti Mantra: om namo bhagavate vasudevaya. It translates to "I surrender to God." It was the one that resonated with me the most out of all of them listed. It was also Lahiri's favorite.
  10. @Nexeternity Yeah, Yoni mudra is crazy. I just see a pure white light. I don't know if that is the kutastha, but it certainly is very pleasing to focus on it. I feel like this is the most powerful technique so far. I feel really high and calm afterwards.
  11. Have any of you guys got to Lesson 12: Japa Yoga? Do you think it is necessary to have a mantra?
  12. @TylerW Yeah, it was sure was an insightful trip though. Made me see how much I have really grown.
  13. @herghly In my opinion, it probably would be too much. Kriya has already proven to me to be really powerful if not too powerful at times. I'm currently experiencing a lot of purging and extreme emotional upheaval. Psychedelics would be far too much for me to handle. Maybe you're different, but to me Kriya is more than sufficient.
  14. @pluto Thanks for the reply. Yeah, recently I took some mushrooms and it actually felt like it lowered my consciousness. It was like I was revisiting my past level of consciousness, back before I even knew about meditation and spirituality.
  15. @Frylock I'd say strong determination sitting is one of the best ways.
  16. I read it. I highly recommend. I especially like the interludes, where he talks about how your mind is changing at a subconscious level as you progress in your meditation practice.
  17. Here's how to do it: Eyes pointed to Bhrumadhya Focus on each Chakra for 2 seconds while chanting OM, starting with muladhara, then 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Chakra. Once you get to Medulla though, you chant OM, but you extend the duration, so instead of focusing on it for 2 seconds, stay on it for 5 seconds, then pause for like 5 seconds. Then come back down and focus and chant OM for the remaining 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st chakras, making sure to focus on each one for just 2 seconds. That completes one round.
  18. @phoenix666 Looking forward to it.
  19. @phoenix666 You're in for a wild ride. This stuff works! It blows my mind how potent it already is. I just finished a session and I feel very "high" It reminds me of the feeling of coming down from an acid trip. Everything is just so peaceful and beautiful. I wish I knew about this stuff earlier.
  20. @Girzo Yeah, first option seems better. You want the inhale/exhale on both nostrils to be relatively the same length.
  21. Sweet. Yeah I am doing regular meditation as well as Kriya. I think what the author is meaning and what Leo even said in his video is that Kriya yoga is much more potent than traditional meditation. You will see faster results doing Kriya, rather than just doing traditional meditation. Doesn't mean that doing regular meditation is a waste of time. Continue doing both!
  22. Yeah, you can pick any object for mindfulness meditation. If you are talking about mindfulness with labeling.
  23. @How to be wise Do some Salvia. Granted you might have a different experience, but for me that felt like a hell realm.
  24. 1) As you build more lung capacity you should be able to reach 10-15 seconds. Do as much as you can for now and yes your exhales should be the same length as your inhales. 2) Yes, your eyes should be pointed up at Bhrumadhya during the whole exercise. Pause at each chakra for 2 seconds. You don't have to control your breath during OM JAPA.
