@Leo Gura Isn't desire there to drive us towards the realization of impermanence of things? -
@brovakhiin I do agree with that. But he still has a real big ego. Not in a materialistic sense, but he's very much wraped in his intelligence and concepts. But that's not an issue here. He's making great things. Limited, but great nevertheless.

@Tancrede Pouyat When you experience inconditional love for existence, "primal activities" will be put into context. But don't worry about it. It is part of the journey. Just remember to keep an open mind.

Yo I realized that I'm a peoplepleaser. Or that I was. The emotions I was running away from are being let go of, nearly finished with that. Interesting is though I have lost motivation to have social interactions, since it was based on the principle "get validaiton, be liked >>>reward". Now as I let go of the need to be liked, my whole motivational system needs to get rewired. Anyone any experience with that, that I could learn from? peace.

You completely dismiss the compassion factor in this. Something for you to look into man.
-
@ajasatya I suspect it is because those are the things I lacked in the past, so I am naturally motivated towards experiencing them. Only with one exception. The "being a positive force" has been always a no-brainer for me. I never even thought about working for myself as in getting money and good life for "myself" without having a positive impact. Now the question remains, is this a left-over people-pleasing instinct? Or is it an authentic value to build on. But I worry not, it shall be answered when the time is right :-). Thank you, you made me get my thoughts a little bit more straight.

@ajasatya In other words, I am not in a rush to get this. I will just wait for life to unfold itself in a natural way. When there will be action needed to take, I will be strongly motivated towards it just out of my own "gut feeling" and "desire to continue the flow".

@ajasatya Peace of mind, emotional stability, being a positive force, and conscious loving home. But even then, I will not say "now I am ready to die". In a way, the illusion of death should be acceptable at any given moment.

This has been like the biggest red-flag I've seen in people who made the "click". I like that point a lot actually. It is a great tool for self-deception.
-
@AxelK What do you mean by that? The bread is perfectly fine. The click should help you out greatly if you're stuck in a rut. @Emerald Wilkins Would you share on what basis you're gonna build your argument on? Im super curious how "spiritual enlightenment people" will argue. Because he doesn't operate on that level. He operates on concepts, not direct experiences of reality. (The only thing I'd tell him is that his click is helpful, but you can go deeper with consciousness... much deeper than that, only it requires more effort).
-
@Schulzy Sorry but that's not how arguments work. I can debate my therapist into thinking she's wrong about me only to realize she was right later.
-
@Schulzy @AxelK There's no doubt about Athene's insaaaane ego. But that doesn't take away any value. Take it or leave it. if you are homeless and get bread from a man who gives it to you just to validate his ego, will you not take it?
-
@Bebop yeah one of my "aha" realizations was "why the fuck do I hang around theae people they give me nothing"

@DimmedBulb Meditation and patience. Life is a flow, you don't have to force yourself to do things. If you have addictions you are escaping from this flow. It is time to regain access to it. It feels magical. It's gonna take time. It's going to take mindfulness. It's going to take hundreds hours of meditation. . . . But what are the results? You can for the most part completely rely on your intuition whether to do something or not. Everyday tasks become joyful and effortless - washing dishes is awesome once again =D. You get tears just for the joy of being alive. You are driven towards learning, exploring, experiencing and impacting others. You know what your purpose is. It is to follow your intuition. Your intuition will lead you to places you've never even dreamed of. That is the work of the heart warrior. Of the one who faces his shadow. The one who shuts up and sits down to examine his inner functioning. That is the art of meditation. The way of living mindfully and consciously. The highest purpose a human can have. Do you have the guts to be patient and follow through? edit: if you want something like a "quick fix" check out Athene's click. (Logic nation). It is a cool technique that is efficient. Doesn't compare with the life of the warrior of the intuition though.

"Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult-once we truly understand and accept it-then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters." -Scott Peck Our most painful times, turn out to be our best times. Only in retrospective. What you're experiencing now is a very difficult beginning of your story. Don't be mistaken, it doesn't determine the ending. It can give you an amazing leverage for beautiful beatiful things. If you follow the path of self-actualization, and use this adversity to become better instead of bitter, I guarantee you, you'll end up with an amazing experience of life, one you'd think isn't even possible. I wish you think this through. Find balance and motivation. We cannot change the hand we were dealt, but we can change how we react. I appreciate you writing on this forum. Thank you.

@Taavi the you get to watch Kurt's movie.
-
@Psychonaut he's just kinda desperate to change the world. Who'd blame him right, but he tends to be compulsive about it. It doesn't diminish the validity of his actions though.
-
@kurt Nobody invited you into this discussion, go tame your narcissism somewhere else. I really beg you to stop following me, it is annoying as fuck. Preach into your toilet not into my pc screen.
-
For your goals, moral values and desires. It is an "ego-centric" paradigm.
-
@JimmySmalls Youre driven towards whats logical based on your paradigm and understanding. I think Athene is wonderful, as well as his click, nice cool thing to get society out of crisis. Not deep enough for more meaningful development in the long-run.
-
Next girl you see you like, go and talk to her.
-
@Frogfucius Im sorry you feel this way. I really don't look down on you. (In your language - you demonize me and put yourself in a position "me against the world" which is a normal reaction of a suppressed low self-esteem, I only know this because I have done exactly that, that is why you might think I look down.) I wish all the best for you. May you reach happier and more joyful states of being.
-
@Frogfucius And yes there are phases. Remember 2 years ago? Haven't you changed since then? What about 1 year ago? 6 months? Change, change, change. Only that is constant. Keep an eye of how people change. That is the (in)famous phase.
-
@Frogfucius I don't know you, I only see the content you post. That is what I know. And I know that posts of this sort can cause more damage than good oftentimes.
