@Visionary It did. I was in a beautiful flow-state for like 60hours straight. ANd then I realized I still have lots of baggage I HAVETO LIKE HAVE TO HAVE TO go through. So I let go for a bit, and continued healing :-) -

@Old Soul Yeah... I feel you brother. It is difficult. But you know it is there... you don't really have a choice, you can't really live in a lie anymore can you. -

OU ye! The good old depersonalization period. That was the most painful period of my life so far, it was fucking nuts lOL. I am glad I went through it it was a valuable experience, however also (oh god's gonna punish me for this arrogant statement I can feel it =D.) I seem to have developed through it and became in a sense immune to depersonalizations, which is bombastic. -

@Old Soul The identity search from my own experience is enhanced from very very deep emotional wounds. You take on identity because there is a part of you you don't wanna face. You use it as a shield to protect yourself from a lot of emotional pain. Once you spot this mechanism, it is much easier to deconstruct the identity in its origins. However that also means that A LOT of emotional labour follows. That is when I feel "shadow-work" merges with enlightenment work. -
Martin123 replied to kuwaynej's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@kuwaynej I think exactly this happened to me after doing one of Peter Ralston's exercises in the book of not knowing. I was driving a bus from Prague to my home city laughing at the paradox that I have the arrogance to think of myself that I exist. And I felt such a bliss throughout the whole thing. And then it vanished. Damn that was fun! -

So you took on the identity of the spiritual seeker. That is fine of course. Just be aware that you did so. :-) -

To quote Allan Watts here (Im gonna be paraphrazing a lot). A man comes to a Zen master "Teach me enlightenment and happiness" Zen Master answers "You are already elinghtened" "No!! I am not!! I need to reach spiritual attainment" Zen Master looks with a slight intrigue in his eyes "Oh so you're one of thoose!" And laughs. Nothing against hard work. But NOBODY SAYS you have to do the hardwork to attain enlightenment. One of the reasons many people do the work is because they believe they have to do the work, and that eventually gets in the way and they keep seeking and seeking for years! And tripple or quadruple their unenlightened time in this lifetime. -

Oh yea defo, he's not for everyone. He even says that. like... If you resonate, like go baybay he's just there to throw some things out of his own for some people to catch if parts of their path resonate with his :-). but like.. that's with everyone so. It would be quite strange if you stuck to one teacher your whole path given the variety availible... -

What kind of selfishness you mean? -

So when i was like 10 or smth. I remember 2 chains of thought. 1. The existence of time doesn't make sence. 2. Consciousness cannot inherently be individual. It must be somehow one big consciousness in the end. How else could more conscious beings be born infinitely. -

Just gonna throw this in here as a reminder, not at all as accusation, in fact I love the idea of the topic. However BEWARE OF FALSE MEMORY + even when not false, memory is inherenrly flawed, as it works with a nonexistant concept we call the past. -
@Arielle wait wtf whats lol about it. I am genuinely asking =D.

Martin123 replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Rest in in awareness. - take a deep breath - give up your thoughts for 2-5 seconds, just give them back to where they came from - realize there is present moment - rest in the present moment for the 2-5 seconds - realize that this presence is always there, even when you are not paying attention, even when you are on your most damaging and self-focused ego trip, this awareness is always there. It is literally screaming HEY I AM HERE LOOK AT ME at all times. Do this exercise as often in the day as you can remember, this can even serve as a substitution for a regular meditation practice! -
@eskwire Cheaper than therapy? May I ask where you're from?

Martin123 replied to The White Belt's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@BeginnerActualizer Everything can turn into a contemplative practice. I used to contemplate through art and maths when I was a young lil cute child. Contemplation in a sense goes beyond thoughts. The base from contemplation is coming out of the void, direct experience. -

@Hardik jain Don't make meditation that complicated. If you wanna awaken kundalini do some Pranic breathing, or something similar (Naked reality has a video on that ). Go to leo's newest video on meditation, and do the guided meditation there. Download the audio, and do that for a month. Then you can literally do any type of meditation you want ,you will have the basic understanding of letting go and differentiate between awareness and thinking. You will be able to feel into presence. Once you posses that skill, all techniques become infinitely less important.

Martin123 replied to Loreena's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Loreena Don't divide things into "spiritual" and "non-spiritual" Just look on the intention behind it. are you acting out of love, expansion, creativity and eagerness to experience? Or are you acting out of fear? there is NOTHING non-spiritual. -
Martin123 replied to 100rockets's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@100rockets http://the-lucid-movement.tumblr.com/post/67483336659/do-it-yourself-holotropic-breathwork This seems to be fitting. Although several unnecessary rituals are in place. Friend dis a "pro" session and that's pretty much what he described. He did say though that a session with a psychologist or a practitioner afterwards is in his opinion necessary in order to relieve the symptoms (lets say as a result of the session someone has inxredible back-pain - a practitioner knows how to proceed in that situation to allow further healing. In my opinion, if you trust your own intuition enough, you don't need a practitioner, you will automatically do what's needed.) -

@Loreena A year ago I would have answered my piano. I haven't played for quite a long time, planning to get a new one into my uni accommodation next semester :-)
