She probably just needs to add some to her spiritual inventory -
You have a big heart and you showed kindness and compassion towards your ex. I can tell that he truly did love and appreciate you the best that he could. Thank you for being there for him during his time of need. He’s eternally grateful for your presence, even if he’s no longer physically here.

I tried searching for a band named Cover, but I couldn’t find one.

Mods are not given special or more importance here. By design. For example, to prevent this community from turning into a cult. -

The human experience is not perfect, yet even within the veil of imperfection is deep perfection. -
I have a long history of defending against and judging worldviews that weren’t compatible with my own, especially ones that were forced upon me without my consent. I’m now freeing myself from needing to engage in such behaviors and mindset. I intuitively realize that that’ll always be a losing game no matter how highly developed one’s worldview gets. This took me years of inner and outer work to realize. There’s freedom and expanded connection when we allow all perspectives to coexist while simultaneously respecting our own authority. This is also how we’ll be able to significantly reduce conflicts and misunderstandings.

Absolutely, enjoy the whole journey; not needing a final result to be satisfied. In the meantime, you can also dip your feet in the water by: watching dog videos and documentaries join a dog community online visit your local dog park and chat with some of the folks there. Volunteer at your local animal shelter

Thank you for breaking my heart. You’ve also taught me to heal the hatred within me that I’ve held onto for far too long.

@Something Funny get a dog and send us a picture once you adopt. We will be looking forward to meeting your new best friend.

Reminds me of the autism spectrum. I feel that people with “milder forms” of autism actually struggle a ton, since back then the focus was only on those with severe manifestations of it. I personally was diagnosed at 16 (11 years ago) and would still gaslight myself into believing that I wasn’t worthy enough to receive support for it, due to the oversimplification and stereotyping of what autism is and isn’t (which is still a challenge today). I’m glad that these rigid systems are being challenged, opening up the doors to more flexibility in our understanding.

I would also work on exploring and embracing your sexuality rather than suppressing and denying it.
