  2. Noticing your biases can be really helpful. How come it’s easy to accept when things go your way but reject things that don’t? Where did the idea that death is a terrible thing come from?

  14. I was feeling like poo this afternoon, but it turns out that my body and mind was just asking for a nap. I allowed myself to take that rest instead of forcing myself to be “productive”. It turns out that allowing this is itself productive; I felt better after taking a break.
  15. I relate to sex in much healthier ways the more authentic and embracing I am of myself.
  16. Open mindedness is something I still struggle due to being raised in a very conservative upbringing. I suppose I should be open minded to viewing my upbringing more as a gift rather than a curse. It allows me to have a reference experience of what it’s like to live in a very narrow and rigid perspective and what it’s like to be free of that. I can’t wait to see where I’ll be 5-10 years from now.
  17. Well, the expression happens on its own so that’s where embracing it comes in. I do a short breathing meditation when it gets too overwhelming.
  18. One of the consequences is not allowing yourself to be vulnerable to different worldviews. For example, my partner is really into Valentine’s Day whereas I don’t give a crap about holidays. I will pretend to enjoy it and see what happens
