  1. I understand what you are saying. And yes, you are right, this post is for people who already past that window, which I suppose is the vast majority of this forum (people with some healthy blue, orange and green, so they won't go over the top with this action steps). The reality is that most people in west, as you said, need to go back to purple and red and integrate this stages. Thats the point of my post. Of course this post is NOT for 14 year olds Tate supporters. That would be a mess. I wouldn't say any of this to a 14 year old. What I posted were examples of actions/habits that a healthy adult could implement. Sometimes a bit of overcompensation works. If you are super shy man, afraid of talking to women, spending a few months day-gaming for hours, talking to hundreds of women and going in dozens of dates can be a good idea, although is not sustainable, but is needed to break from the shell. The same starting a business. You can be working 12+ hours per day for months, so after you can take the foot off the pedal. The same integrating other stages. An hedonistic stage orange wanting to integrate blue for example. Maybe he needs to stick to a super strict routine for weeks or months, giving up pleasures with tight accountability. Or a rationalist-scientific orange. Maybe he needs to go full woo-woo yoga, new age, before finding a nice balance between healthy orange and healthy green spirituality. Each person needs to find their balance.
  2. Nice distinctions! Good way to put it.
  3. Don't know about books on this topic, but check this clip:
  4. Here is my last insight: Being developed in the spiral is NOT about how high (you think) you are. Is about where your LOWER BOTTLE-NECK is. You are going to be limited by the lowest stage that you don’t have integrated. You can be fully enlightened, God realized, billionaire, deep understandings of complex systems bla bla bla… but if you have back pain, a gut problems, migraines, sleep deficiency, or you don’t control your sexual/sugar/online cravings, or don’t have a tribe/family or deep meaningful rituals, you are going to be miserable. Is not about reaching turquoise as fast as you can. Is about integrating the lower stages as deep as possible. Not trying to scape them. Understand it. Enjoy it, fully embrace it. Live it. Savour it. If not, everything else will be an overcompensation. *The lower the stage, the more important it is to develop and integrate it.* And you will realize that the spiral maybe is not that linear, and purple and turquoise may be closer than we initially believe) Im building from this ‘classic’ thread by Reeves: -Im aware that this could be a bastardization of SD, but is practical knowledge) Is a simple way to structure stuff, so it’s easier to implement). -When I talk about this, it doesn’t mean I integrated it all. I still work to do. If I write this is because Im working on it. Im not above anyone). So. Lets take a look a these lower stages: BEIGE. - Healthy eating. No sugar cravings. Basically not being fat. - Try keto for at least 2 weeks. - Try a 24h fast. This is not even stage blue discipline. Is prior to that. -How are you going to go for a (purple) hike or a camping if you are 20kg overweight? Or if you have sugar cravings? Or if you have some bodily pain? Or if you are zero energy or zero cardio? -How are you are going to be intimidating when you need (red) if you are too fat or to skinny? - Proper sleep. Be well rested. Have energy to get through the day. - Correct your posture. HUGE -Learn how to sit properly (Avoiding back & neck pain). This shit can ruin your life. -Sit less on chairs, and more on the ground even if its uncomfortable at first. -Learn about ankle, hip, shoulder mobility; psoas stretching if needed and check for imbalances. - Body movement. . HUGE Here you have some great examples (notice the guy on the left is 60 years old): People will say the first one is green, but that is not even yoga. Is just basically becoming a baby or a mammal again. Just moving. No goal. You can’t start a serious green-yoga practice if you are stiff like a rock. Get in touch with being a baby again. Move. Crawl. Be stupid. Think less. Be less civilized. You will enjoy purple more Spend more time on the ground. - Breathe properly. Again, like a baby (through the nose. Diaphragmatic breathing)
  5. I understand what you are saying I have an online business. I use online banking. Im not talking about going full amish. Never said that. You can spend 8 hours per day working online and checking your online apps. Thats fine. Its a different thing to spend time on your phone for work reasons than for ‘entretainment’. Its a whole different thing. You get what Im saying. You, as a women, don't get the porn thing, as myself as a male, probably don't get the ‘how do I get him to stick with me after fucking me’. Young guys have a serious problem with porn. Most need to get rid of that. I talk about the URGES. Men need to let go of that. Fapping to porn can be ok from time to time. Cool. Im not saying is evil. But being addicted to porn (and social media) is lame. There is no way around it. As a healthy male you should be enjoying sex with women you like.
  6. Thanks! Yes, the more integrated the lower stages, the easier is to go up. For example, a lot of people struggle with healthy green, because the neglect purple. And yes, the beauty of life can be found in simple things like purple activities or even (my version of) beige. No, don't forget to implement some of theses practices
  7. Thanks! I'll do blue this week, since is what Im working on. For the other stages Im not sure I can get into this level of detail, but I'll be doing them before the end of the year.
  8. Glad you like it! Yep, the fundamentals can't be forget. They are not sexy, but we need that solid foundations in order to build a large building.
  9. Yep, and he can get a bit more twisted, by loving the fact that he is with more than one girl without them knowing that, and realizing that he has the power to break their heart. I was like that for period of time. I felt good about it, but now I realized the toxicity of that. The key is to integrate that red with green.
  10. Yes, scientists also believe in miracles
  11. Holy shit! Thats wild. Love it. And that calm after the storm. I see real deep bonds and friendship. - Imagine doing that as part of your morning routine.
  12. PURPLE. This one HUGE Purple can solve the modern day pandemics:: -screen addiction -mental health (suicides) -loneliness Purple for me comes down to 2 things: -Having deep, close, meaningful relationships. A TRIBE. A gang. -Living an ANALOG lifestyle & Falling in love with GAIA. More nature/outside; LESS ONLINE, inside. So, the most important step here is this: Do a 30 DAY DIGITAL DETOX. Embrace digital minimalism. Ask yourself this question: ‘if I were living 10.000-20.000 years ago what would I do in my day?’ You can’t complain about life when you posted 15.000 messages on an online forum This is even more important than eating healthy. Lets get this straight: If you are on your phone 2+ hours per day, you are SICK. (Last month I reduced screen time from 14h/week to 2h/ week and is one of the best changes I’ve made in years. Is a bigger effect than changing your diet) The same way the BMI determines (aprox) if you are ‘bodily’ healthy, there should also exist a number to determine if you are ‘online healthy’. Maybe in a few years we will have that. You can’t depend on a screen for your entertainment. Thats an illness. Thats not human. We can see the awful consequences with our own two eyes. The rates of depression, anxiety, low level depression, apathy and polarization are through the roof. Historic levels. Physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually weak generation. And lonely. And is not about just being sick. Is about not being able to tap into your authentic self, not being able to enjoy life to the fullest. A great resource for this is Cal Newport’s book. I summarize here in a paragraph, but read it. Apply it. Social media (and your phone) is fucking you life up, so do a 30 day technology detox (no social media, no videogames, no Netflix, no movies, no tv, no news). In those 30 days: -Embrace the void, the pain and the boredom. -Think DEEPLY about your principles & values, and you relationship to technology, so at the end of the 30 day you use tech as a tool in order to serve your values, not the other way around. -Look for analog things to do. ‘PURPLE’ things you can do with your new free time: -Connect DEEPLY with nature. -Connect with the mystery and magic of Gaia. REVERENCE IT. It has infinite more wisdom that you will ever have. -Understand that you don’t understand anything about nature. All you think you know is just THEORY you learnt in school. Don’t label things. -Connect withe aliveness of the trees, the bugs, the fungi, the cycle of life.. -List the 5 closes hikes you can go. Call your tribe and go togheter If you don’t have one, join a meet up. -Go camping with your family. -Cook or bring some food you prepared and enjoy the SHARING of it. -Share stories around a campfire in the woods with your closest friends. LAUGH. -Deepen your converstaions with your tribe. Fears, hopes, dreams; thoughts about God, life, the Universe… -Take some weed/mushrooms with your tribe looking at the stars and contemplating the divine. -Spend time alone. Deep solitude. Connect with the Silence. (No people, no books, no music, no screens). Nothing. -Climb a tree. -Dig a hole with your hands and FEEL the soil, the rocks, the tree roots.. -Get buried in the sand til the head. -Go barefoot. -Bark! Louder!! -Eat with your hands -Build something with your own hands. (Jewelry, ceramics, sewing…) -Get dirty -Eat a fruit from a tree. (Could also expand to: eat REAL NATURAL food only) -Watch the sun rise for the next week. Reverence your God-Sun. Ra. -Connect with animals. Watch for a full hour a colony of ants. Observe and see the beauty in that. Learn from them. -Enjoy the birdsongs and notice the difference between different types. -Whistle more -Avoid pharmaceuticals when possible. Learn about medicine plants. — -Go talk to your grandparents, let them talk about life, understand the life story of your ancestors -Connect with old people. -Learn mythical stories/tales. Learn proper storytelling. -Develop spiritual devotional rituals. Individual and tribal. -Try bhakti yoga and look how you can implement it in you life. -Attend a Kirtan. (Amazing) -Listen to shamanic music. Forget about pop music, or even ‘elevated’ classical music. Go for 2 weeks just with shamanic / amazonian / african tribalistic type music -Go meet a real tribe. Life there for some weeks if possible. -Wear some tribal accessories/jewelry if you find meaning in it. -Buy meaningful gifts for important people in your life. -Buy 2 amulets/items for your partner and yourself, and wear them as a symbol of love. -Redecorate some part of your home in a more ‘purple’ way. -Learn some craft with your hands: Archery, javelin, handstand, drums, how to juggle, play yo-yo… -Learn some closeup magic with day to day objects. Bring magic to peoples life. — -Build a ritual or celebration for each season (and/or for each month). -Connect with the different seasons and enjoy each one to the fullest. -Create some weekly/monthly rituals (ex: no meat Friday, no phone Saturday, movie Friday with girlfriend, full moon yoga… so you connect with nature, tribe and within) -Have rituals for a new season in your life (moving to another city, changing jobs, changing careers, having kids…) - -Connect with the weather. Stop looking at the weather forecast. (Who cares about the ‘degrees number’? Use numbers as little as possible. You don’t need and umbrella under light rain. Get wet. In the weekends don’t look at the clock (only when necessary). Just live. Eat when you are hungry, rest when you are tired. -Contemplate storms and thunders in awe, appreciate the brute force of the wild see and huge waves in a rough weather. Feel how weak you are as human and how easily the sea could kill you. -Get mesmerized by the vastness of the sea. - -Learn SURVIVAL (imagine you are lost in a jungle for a month). Preferably do a live training, not just online info. -are you able to fast? -Learn how to orientate yourself. -Learn about clouds, and the wind. Know when is about to rain. -Learn where you can get food, water and shelter -Learn how to start a fire -Learn how to do a tourniquet -Learn how to measure remaining sunlight with your hands -Learn how to deal with a dangerous animal -Learn about sea currents (this can safe your life) (if you are caught in one, don’t try to swim toward the beach, swim parallel to it until you are out fo the current) -Watch some podcasts about this topics so you have ideas that fits you. But ACT on them! -Go a bit more amish. Reduce tech when you can. Ex: Buy a normal alarm clock, buy a sand clock (love theses), buy vinyl records, use matches in stead of lighters... -Think about raising your kids in a more comunal way, and find other couples with the same mindset. -STOP watching porn. Masturbate if you want, thats fine, but no screens for that. Problems taking purple for granted: -If you don’t get purple right, you are going to be unhealthy green, idealizing purple, and hating red, blue and orange. -if you don’t have real close deep loving bonds with family/tribe, it will be difficult for you to love humanity as a whole. -If you are a social media/internet junkie, it will be difficult to build deep relationships. -If you are a social media/internet junkie, you will get triggered by exaggerations and polarization, not having a clear understanding about realty. Your beliefs are going to be fueled by hate. You mind will be filled with wrong twisted emotional data, stories and narratives. You will become a laughable SJW. You will become a sad, self-aggrandizing, isolated maybe-rich liberitarian . You will become a sad lonely incel (if you also overlook red) Become a fucking HUMAN being again. Throw away the screen. Connect deeply with your tribe, Gaia, and the divine spirits of life. - > Tomorrow I'll do red (maybe blue)
  13. This 2Pac clip was on the Green Megathread. I get it. What he is sayin is green, but there is something beneath that. He doesn't sound like your typical green-hippie. Is tough to put Pac in the spiral. We was sent to jail for rape (unhealthy red). He had the work ethic and discipline to become one of the greats: Blue He loved the money, girls and fame: Orange. And a lot of his music is red. And some green. And he had some green values. But check out this clip. The words, the philosophy, the content, is green. But it doesn't sound as green. If some green-weak-hippie said the same words, probably wouldn't resonate that much. But if you say this words, with that red attitude/swag, it hits different. A lot of this green activists, (vegans, climate change advocates...) don't have a healthy developed red, so people get tired of those people. They are seen as mere complainers. As weak. They lack that visceral passion. They seem dead inside. Just focusing on some external ‘higher’ cause for validation. Like Peterson say, people who can't even clean their fucking room. And if they have some hate, or passion, it seem ungrounded, and unhealthy, like Greta. Another example could be Mike Tyson. The fact he has that red in him that makes him lovable. Or imagine that the stars align and Tate became green. That would be powerful. They say woman want a beast. And then domesticate that beast. Well, that red-green combo really hits home. You can see it in guys like 2Pac or Mike Tyson. Loved by women. Adored by men. Green values, with red swag visceral passion.
  14. I was watching Rick Rubins videos today. He started meditating when he was 14, then stopped a few years, and in his 20s he restarted the habit. The fact that he stopped, made him recognize how valuable it was, and when he re-start the habit, he had a clear reminiscence of it. The same with Arnold. He did it for a few months, stopped, and he also said that still was always there for him. I had the same experience. I practiced it intermittently, and when I come back, is always there. Meditation, or that ‘meditative state', or ’that place’, that Silence is going to be there always for you, waiting to fill you with joy and peace. Unconditionally. Like in the Parable of the Prodigal Son, no matter what you do, how much time you take off... the door will be always be open, welcoming you. Filled with Love.
  15. What are these people thinking? How many millions of americans actually believe Jesus is coming? Check out what Yogananda has to say: "In titling this work The Second Coming of Christ, I am not referring to a literal return of Jesus to earth. He came two thousand years ago and, after imparting a universal path to God's kingdom, was crucified and resurrected, his reappearance to the masses now is not necessary for the fulfilment of his teachings. What is necessary is for the cosmic wisdom and divine perception of Jesus to speak again through each one's own experience and understanding of the infinite Christ Consciousness that was incarnate in Jesus. That will be his true Second Coming." All these Christians all day talking about Jesus, with zero embodiment. I have some friends like that. All day judging postmoderns, feminist and the like. They believe in Christ, but they don't act like him. What a shame. They don't realize Christ was not a christian! The same way Buddha was not a buddhist. Don't follow the book, ACT as he acted! Be Jesus yourself!
  16. Am I doing what I want or what others/familiy/society/my 'past me' wants? Are we blinded by so much information, by all the online mentors, by too much socialization, by to many distractions, by the shiny lights of superficial success, by constant connection, that we never even bother to search for our Zone of Genius? It takes a lot of reflection, solitude, silence, emotional labour, trial and error, sacrifices... and maybe we don't want to dive deep, like David Lynch puts it: “Ideas are like fish. If you want to catch little fish, you can stay in the shallow water. But if you want to catch the big fish, you’ve got to go deeper. Down deep, the fish are more powerful and more pure. They’re huge and abstract. And they’re very beautiful.” Leo talked in his last happiness video, how he really doesn't believe in going full monk in meditation, because he is very creative and his mind is very active. That struck me. Specially coming from him, 'the spiritual guy'; and I realized that the path of mastery of one skill can be even more fulfilling that the path of ''full spirituality'. That the path of mastery/creativity (''exploiting'' the active/monkey mind), could be even more fulfilling than the path of shutting of the monkey-mind. Im also INTP, highly active and creative mind; and probably a lot of you in this forum are also similar. Why fight our gifts, instead of going along with them? Beware of going down a path that is not truly yours, just because is a fad, popular or is a promise of happiness. The path is not the same for all. And yes, Im talking to myself, I need to reflect on this; but if you also needed to read this, I hope this makes you reflect. Rick Rubin is probably not enlightened, but I look at him, and think: 'why would he try to get to enlightenment?' He radiates bliss and pure joy. Peace. The kind of guy who works hard, makes millions, and still enjoys smelling the roses. In fact, it seems that everything for him is about enjoying the smell of the fucking roses.
  17. This guy is a beast. Check it out between 2:07 to 2:45. Pure confidence and chill. 'I don't give a fuck' attitude. For me, thats the face of mastery, as George Leonard puts it I was looking this week for 'old' people to take as reference. 'who could be a great inspiration for a living great old age?' -I asked myself This guy comes to mind. Mastery (flow) + Spiritual work = True happiness / Joy
  18. -Learn how to write properly (and how to EDIT). -Record yourself talking and publish it (get feedback). -Do it for months/years
  19. WHAT I LEARNT WITH 1 YEAR WATCHING ACTUALIZED.ORG I started watching Leos videos one year ago (around 50 videos this year) Started with the videos listed in the: ‘Start here’ page. So basically with foundational videos. (Didn't watch all, around half, and also other videos not in that page) I already had a few years, maybe a decade in personal development, so I could label myself intermediate when I started. And when I say watching videos, I mean seriously. For every video, I took notes, wrote word for word the highlights of the video (around 2-4 pages each), also writing the stuff that came to my mind in relation to that topic, how it related to my life, and actions steps. So, 1 hour video, could take me 2-3 hours to complete. And place then in a proper folder, separated by topics. Sometimes I binged, watching a few of them straight without taking action, which is ok. But then recognize it and got to it. Some things that I implemented this year: -Building a better infrasctructure -Reading some of the best books on his booklist (Reading habit of 30 mins+/day; not everyday though) -Reducing porn almost to zero (usage and cravings) -Reducing social media (usage and cravings) -Reducing screen time to less than 30 mins/day -Re taking meditation habit -Going to a meditation centre 1-2/week. -Spending some Saturday with no tech, no socializing, just alone in the forest. Meditating, contemplating, introspecting… -Cleaning diet, with fasting and trying keto successfully. -Trying psychedelics for the first time. -Trying a few classes of yoga for first time (and understand basics of real yoga). -Reducing the things I do. Just focus on: Working on business, learning/reading, meditation, spending more time in solitude (nature, walks...), quality time with girlfriend and some few friends, and gym. -Quitting most of hard addictions (coffee still there, still some sugar and social media cravings) -Being aware of soft addictions (judging, moralizing, arguing). This ones are tough, but at least Im aware of those now. -Writing a draft for a book in just 1 month (+40000 words for now) -Redefining life purpose (Creating a Lifebook: with vision boards, 3 main life goals, 10 virtues (Ben Franklin style...), Seasons goals... Some things were easy, like cleaning up diet, since I almost always was in shape and eating decent. Others were completely new habits. And in general, I got higher perspective in life, not that ‘practical’, but maybe more important: -Understanding how everything is a distraction from being, from looking inward, even relationships, marriage, career, business, success, family… (This one is tough, since balance is key here) Those things are important in life, the Big Rocks if you may; but being, looking inward is VITAL. -Differentiating what enlightenment is and is not. (Not Tolle’s, hatha yoga, dogma spirituality, more in the autolysis, self-inquiry, deep solitude, neti neti stuff) -Changing my approach to learning. Learning = Behavior change -Im shifting towards a Mastery, Craftsman mindset life. (still hard to scape from the shortcuts distractions) -Understanding the value of solitude for real insight, original though. And how being constantly around people and culture (info input), is as toxic as it can be without noticing, like the frog doesn’t notice how the water is boiling. -Seem obvious that we don't have free will. That we are machines moving around to get our pleasures/dopamine hits, and get our survival needs met. That all our thoughts, emotional patterns, habits, values, are programmed in our minds by culture, society, family, country, regional area etc.. -Having a ‘feeling’ of no self through neti neti. Probably some intellectualization, but I got something there. I understood for the first time the ‘no-self’ thing. I can't locate myself in space. Damn. Am I nothing? So, there is no-one? My girlfriend is nothing? Shit! -Everything is an hallucination, not just the color red is hallucinated by my brain. The brain is also is part of the hallucination, the same as red. There is no observer, and no observed. Damn. After hundreds of times hearing it I got it, at least on an intellectual level. Consciousness is not generated in the brain, the brain is inside Consciousness! ‘So.. Who/what is hallucinating the brain?’ -Understanding spiral dynamics, specially stage yellow, as I can see something to shoot for. This was DEEP. My values shifted, I had to change things in life purpose, values, principles, virtues... people that I admired. I was heavy orange, with lacks in healthy blue and understood the value of green, yellow and blue; and where I was lacking. Im also (a bit) less judgmental since I get that people are in whatever stage they are, and thats ok. Their background was different than mine. Every color is important, and necessary in its healthy way. The Earth as a system depends on the healthy side of every stage. Not everyone has to be like me. -I understood the shortcomings of science (being myself a stage orange rationalist). I even have some hate for scientist and atheists now haha -I open myself to the idea of God, coming from a soft religious background, and then being hardcore atheist since adolescence. -Im not religious, but now I don't hate religion. I don't love religion. I understand religion (even Islam, that was tough for me), and the role it played in society, and for individuals. -I understand now the shortcomings of capitalism and libertarianism. I liked the liberitiarian POV for a long time, since I started my business, but now I see the flaws. -I see the flaws of stage orange, and understand green people/ideals (Still don like some green stuff, the same I don’t like some blue and orange stuff). But now I can see how orange generates a lot of problems and more healthy green (and yellow) is needed. Still had some big ego backlashes in this year, with a couple months hard on social media and youtube, porn, politic news, self help mental masturbation and eating pretty shitty. Is the way it is. I accept that. Growth is not linear. Setbacks are ok. Just get back to baseline and get another growth period. Now that Im on another spike of growth I was ver happy... But... Yesterday I was re watching one of the most important videos in the channel: Real Growth VS Fake Growth. (this video is deeeeeep). And asked myself: -Did I really grow this past year? -Did I really grow the last 5, 10 years since I started in personal development? All this shit about understanding spiral dynamics, that there is no free will… is real growth? Or is mental masturbation? Things can become tricky. Even Leo reaching the highest of highest enlightenment. Is that real growth? Is he more loving day to day? Is he more fulfill day to day? Is he more or less judgmental? Is he more or less arrogant? What really changed? (I ask the same questions for myself, off) Sometimes is tough to draw the line from real growth and fake growth. Some of the deep questions that are more important for me right now: -Am I escaping from something? Am I doing this out of fear? -What is real growth for me? -Am I doing the emotionally challenge thing? Or the cushy thing? -Am I doing this to hide from something? -Is my day to day/week to week improving? These are ones to ponder DEEPLY. - So my point in this one is: -Do you remember that video/s that blew you away a few months/years back? Go REWATCH them (and consult the notes you took). Contemplate and journal. Deep. 1 hour min -For every video, take notes, write your own shit, and write at least an action plan. If you are not going to do that, is probably mental masturbation (even if you do that, it could also be, since only if you take action are this videos really useful). Watching the best video once is not enough. -Is mandatory to spend some time pondering what type of videos to watch. -Is best to watch 10 videos 10 times, taking notes, journaling about those topics and your life, and (throughout a few years), than to watch 100 videos and talk shit on the forum. I read the forum and everyone is talking about Israel, Tate, Trump... that is a HARD DISTRACTION. I get it. Is fun to talk shit sometimes, buts thats gets expanded in time, and then regrets come. Im talking from experience. So if you want to take something out of what I learnt this year is: > Pick 3-5 foundational vids, a couple foundational habits, and go full on that for 3 months (1 season), minimizing distractions. So a good question can be: ''which ones could be the 5 videos am I going to watch, rewatch, take action and contemplate on for the next season?' Some for them from my POV: -Real growth vs fake growth. -High consciousness vs low consciousness -Minimalistic lifestyle. -One Rule for Acing life (emotional labour) -Setting propter expectations -Stop backsliding -Overcoming addictions + Subtle addictions -Spiral dynamics Is easy to get lost. The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing. This kind of videos are perennial. Making 1000$ a month or a million a year... this shit is still going to determine our baseline level of happiness. Those are some videos that have to be integrated, coming back to those concept again and again. Why muslims pray 5 times a day? Forgetfulness... Distraction. Is so easy nowadays.. These concepts are going to be our life compass. With a damaged compass, all advancement can be in the wrong direction. Even after this rant... Im still confused. Did I really grow? I think I did. Did I make a lot of mistakes? I also think I did. One thing is sure: Ill keep going. With solid foundations, doing the emotional challenging thing, with patience, focusing only on vital and important things... in a few years who knows where we can be What are your thoughts on Real Growth?
