Spiders are cool, but very fragile. I once had about 6-7 tarantulas and it was a pain keeping them alive. Also very expensive. If I had a spider consciousness, maybe I could keep them alive for longer lol.

The best movies are either those that are 100% logical, or those that are completely illogical on purpose. If a movie tries to be extremely serious and logical, but the characters do stupid decisions and are overly dramatic, etc., it can really put down the whole movie, no matter how realistic it is (cough, cough Nolan... )

@mattm33 This is a common thing in most monster movies, even in Alien. The monster is usually super-deadly when facing secondary characters, but becomes less capable when chasing the main character, because you know, the main character is supposed to stay alive, lol.

Just to be clear, are you saying that the old James Bond movies, Alien movies, and Star Wars movies are overrated, while the new ones are perfectly fine? 😳

Mad Max Fury Road. It's not a terrible movie, but there is so much action it was actually painful to watch for me. Also, it had so many clichés and illogical things I couldn't stand. Acting was OK. The sequel was slightly better.

It's not even SEO. A third party company has just abused the good name and authority of Forbes. Another classic move from shareholders and people that haven't even built the company. BTW, their website looks terrible. It's like some basic theme with low-res images and spammy links all over the place. Can't believe they rank so high on Google for everything. -

Another shocking news. Forbes, the world's number one business news site was penalized by Google for parasite marketing practices, trying to rank for every category possible including fashion, automotive, health, sports betting, etc. https://larslofgren.com/forbes-marketplace/ https://hellopartner.com/2024/10/01/forbes-advisor-hit-by-google-penalty-over-affiliate-practices/ https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/1ft47sn/google_hit_forbes_advisor_with_a_manual_action/ -
How do you know this guy doesn't have any expenses? What is he promotes his channel or pays for some services or other stuff? Also, it probably took him years to build his community.

Guys, can you keep it on topic? 😜

LOTR is a good "safe" movie that looks nice and doesn't offend. Other than that, it doesn't really have that much to offer. It's a good movie to watch on a Sunday evening with your family, but there is nothing else to it. The story is average, the characters are bland (either good or evil), and it has a good ending. I would rate it maybe 7/10.

@Mulky That is a very good selection of overrated movies. I would even agree that Black Mirror as a whole is overrated, even though it is my favorite series. I think some episodes are overrated, but others are underrated. Some newer episodes like "Smithereens" and "Beyond the Sea" deserve higher rating IMO. Black Mirror is more like 30 different short movies rather than a typical TV series, some are worth watching, others not so much.

Don't get me wrong, I am not against action and Asian-style fighting scenes, if they are done right. The first Raid movie was excellent.
-
I haven't watched any superhero movie for years. I think the Logan movie was actually the last one, which was ok, but since then I just don't want to waste my time with this kind of movies.
-
I would still watch Marvel on repeat before any type of anime movie to be honest, it just feels unnatural.
-
Yes, I am talking about websites. It was possible to just buy a domain and start ranking on Google the next day without any expertise or valuable content. It was rigged back then.
-
Great, now I can sleep better 😁
-
Yes, well I am not attacking Nolan or anyone who truly loves his movies. But I am just suspicious that most of his movie ratings are simply not valid and fair. "Movie smart, I also smart, I rate movie 10"
-
I would say it was much easier to build some kind of passive income about 10-15 years ago, because there wasn't much information available, but if you got the right info, the competition was super-low in everything.
-
Yes, for sure Nolan is awaken and that's why 10 million people rated his movies 10/10 on IMDB. There are so many awaken people, totally makes sense lol
-
"Passive income" is a relative term. Even renting properties is not a fully passive income. You can have some websites / online businesses that are almost passive, but most of them need regular work. Investing can be considered a passive income, but it's either too risky, or it will barely cover inflation. If you want to make some good money, you will still need to work for it.

Here are some movies I have watched recently with my subjective ratings The Zone of Interest (9/10) Men (8/10) From Dusk Till Dawn (8/10) I'm thinking of ending things (7/10) Her (7/10) Kinds of Kindness (6/10) Dune 2 (5/10)

This guy gets it. The movie needs to be groundbreaking and something completely new to even be considered the "GOAT" in its genre. There are so many good space movies that just saying one random recent movie is the best is ridiculous. Sunshine, Moon, Gravity, Passengers, etc. all were pretty good and IMO better than Interstellar, but none of them is the "GOAT".
-
When you get older (and watch thousands of movies) you will become aware of how the directors implement various bullshits to make people fall for their movies and worship them. Or maybe not lol.
-
I can't believe I forgot this one... Saving Private Ryan ...that movie has so much pathos it could make Danny Trejo cry...
-
It's not terrible, but yes it's overrated and there is now much better movie with the same subject.
