  1. This is my favorite superhero musical 😂
  2. There are thousands of videos like this on YouTube. WTF is going on with humanity?
  3. Yes, that's a good approach. I have been buying durable wool socks with a lifetime warranty (Darn Tough). They are expensive, but will save me money in the long run. Also, much more ecological.
  4. There are various reasons why today's living standards are much better than the living standards 500 years ago. Products are exponentially cheaper to made, but the quality sucks. We are living surrounded by plastics and dangerous chemicals, while people 500 years ago were surrounded by wood, leather, wool, etc. Food is extremely cheap to produce, but the quality sucks. People 500 years ago couldn't afford food, but it was all 100% organic. Most western countries have very high living standards, but it's mostly at the expense of poor living standards of other countries. Loans that can never be paid. etc.
  5. I think Windows 10 is at its best right now. The only case I had problems with it was because of my own stupidity. I had turned off updates for a very long time and it got slow. Made a clean install, performed about 100 updates and zero issues so far on an 8 year old desktop PC. I will keep Win 10 until something better comes out.
  6. So you have both a PC and a laptop with Windows 11? This means they are literally brand new with warranty? Have you tried contacting the support or asking other owners of the same model? There must be other people with the same problem.
  7. OK, then just reinstall Windows 10 and see, there can be some bad updates, drivers, etc. If it doesn't help, open the PC and clean all components, then repaste your CPU/graphics card. The components may be overheating, which can cause thermal throttling and laggy performance. The hard drive can also be corrupt. Also, don't forget to reset your BIOS settings, and maybe update the BIOS firmware. I have never used Windows 11, so can't tell if that one is the issue. But I wouldn't be surprised.
  8. This may sound like a cliché response, but the main problem is that you have a laptop. My desktop PC is 8 years old and it's as fast as the day I built it. Before that desktop PC, I had like 4 different laptops and all went to shit after like 3-4 years. They just don't last.
  9. It's not actually a horror movie. Maybe partially, something like 10% a horror movie, 80% psycho thriller, and 10% dark comedy. The last couple ofvscenes are literally a parody. Have you guys seen Tusk?
  10. It's always good to be out of speculative assets, good for health at least.
  11. Entirely? Not even dividend stocks? Well it's going to crash for sure, but some secrors might rebound pretty fast.
  12. Which ones do you invest in? I am thinking of buying Microsoft and maybe Apple, but they are slightly overpriced right now IMHO. Microsoft seems like the most stable one with their highly diversified products. I don't really like Google and Facebook, so I am not buying those for sure.
  13. It would be an interesting experiment to take a group of people and let them choose from one of these options: 1 day without food 1 day without technology I think the result would be very close to 50:50.
  14. @Leo Gura What I am trying to say is that the tech stock sector has always been considered too risky and not very predictable. This is the first time a lot of investors and financial advisors are recommending the IT sector as a safe haven and a hedge against a recession. It is being compared to the alcohol and tobacco industry, which has also performed relatively well during a recession due to people being addicted to the product.
  15. I would agree that information technology has some huge benefits but let's be real. The true age of information technology is long gone. It was back in the late 90s and early 2000s when kids were genuinely interested in searching for good sources of information on the internet. There were lots on personal blogs and forums to be found and everyone was truly amazed by the power of internet. Nowadays it's just social networks and mass media consumption... and lots of advertisisement.
  16. Not a movie, but Severance is an incredible series that only has one season so far (season 2 is coming in January 25) A true hidden gem. I think most of you guys will like it a lot.
  17. Yes, if Agora was 100% historically accurate, the ending would be a bloody mess and Christians would never let it go public.
  18. Still much better than Gladiator 2. Historical movies are not profitable so they are dying. Just be happy with what you have or go watch documentaries 😉
  19. Agora Arn Tempelriddaren Black Death Ironclad Centurion The Eagle The Other Boleyn Girl Just to name a few. Some of them are not historically accurate, but based on history. Most of them are highly underrated on IMDB.
  20. It's especially hard to find good historical movies these days. The last good historical movies were made around 2010.
  21. 2022-2024 have been some of the best years for movies. It's like a small golden age. You are watching wrong movies. Here are some good ones: Banshees of Inisherin The Zone of Interest Aftersun Saltburn Menu Killers of the Flower Moon Poor Things The Substance Also, there are dozens of good European/Korean movies out there, you just have to look for them.
  22. Plot twist: Elon and Trump are robots planning to enslave humans. Their massive egos are just programs designed to make their behaviour believable for an average human.
  23. Yes, it's a wake up call. I wouldn't expect him to be willing to join the Trump/Musk administration.
