The whole problem with your question is that it comes exactly from within the problem, which is body mind identification. You ground your sense of Reality into your body and humanity. The second one expands identity to Infinity. I feel more comfortable with the second and that has been my approach. Right now ponder what you consider as I. Let's say the body, the thoughts, the emotions, the memories, the breathing, the organs and cells, digestion etc. All of this complex and multifaceted functions you consider as I. Now try to cognise all the happenings in the macrocosm, all that is going on, the weather, the sounds, shapes, movement, temperatures, humans, animals, architecture etc. Try to become conscious that it's equally I. In the same way it is in the microcosm of your human Self, so it is in the macrocosm of The Universe. This cognition helps to unhook yourself from body-mind identification.

Through vipassana and Kundalini for baseline. Through DMT and Salvia for peak. You feel glued to the body because mind/consciousness is condensed like a tight fist around the body. It's like a multilayer compressed cake. If you are able to melt this layers (by love) or burn them (by understanding, awareness or raw consciousness) then your consciousness will unclutch from the body and become expansive as the sky. The wrapping will be removed and you'll find yourself in a state where Consciousness has no outter limits or bounds, it goes on forever. Try to become aware of the limit of your perception right now. Imagine that wall breaks and it expands for Infinity.

@mmKay You raise good points in the beginning but I disagree with your preference for outside understanding. How is someone from the outside gonna understand better than you how it is to be yourself? The intimacy and directness is invaluable. Self bias gets in the way but you have something to be biased about your first hand experience. While the other way around you only have second hand experience/observation which may be even more biased and filtered; like what others say about who you are.

You are ignorant of your ignorance. Go read 20 books on sexuality. For example, the ones from Leo's booklist. Comeback and read this post. Ask yourself in what ways was I right? In what ways was I wrong?

@UpperMaster I once had to complete an important university project that involved designing my own algorithm. My goal was to "think independently from the ground up" and contribute something novel and creative. However, the project turned out to be fairly mediocre; I didn't even approach the current state of the art. I felt embarrassed for not dedicating enough time to study the intelligent work of those who had already tackled similar problems. It was a humbling lesson for my ego.

The main problem with understanding the other gender is that you'll be understanding the system from the outside. Lately I try to tap into feminine consciousness and it works temporarily. I connect with my girl side and explore it. Yet I won't be able to get pregnant, create a life in me for nine months and birth it into existence, give it sustenance and care for many years to come.
