It works nicely. Just make sure to get all the papework right and declare your earnings to the state. Be careful with squatters, avoid young people that only go for partying and prioratize family. Be mindful of reviews as they are your presentation cart.

That's a legit position to take. However, I grant you there is more to Religion than that. You have only been exposed to a narrow set of religions, from your historical times, to which you categorize as pre-rational. There's truth to that but I would say you are throwing the baby out with the bathwater. There are an immense range of Religions. For example, Jainism not only passes the moral test you have given but doubles down on them: extreme veganism, crafting their own clothes, only uplifting bussiness can be done, no vehicles because of pollution... They wear moth protection not to swallow insects accidentaly and they sweep as they walk to not step and kill little creatures. So the exact same criticism you are making of souless religious action, these religious individuals could make about you and your lifestyle. So again it all depends on where you stand in the spectrum, your values and your level of development. Moreover, consider that Religion is an amalgamation of culture, codes of conduct, history, art, architecture, rituals and mysticism. One can judge each aspect of a Religion accordingly. You are just judging the codes of conduct and culture and are ignorant about the rest. Islamic art from their golden age is of tremendous beauty, geometry and mathematics. In fact, a muslim temple called Alhambra in Spain was the inspiration for Escher to make one of the most profound art and research on tesselations ever done in Human History. There are diverse family branches to religion, many aspects to each one of them and they all evolve and intermingle with each other. Overall, you are fitting religion into a very limited box given to you by rationalism, scientifism and materialism: all of that to feel so good about yourself and point out their obvious shortcomings, without realizing your own ones nor caring deeply to understand the Comparative Religious field of study. -

You got the bigger picture, but I wouldn't call it falsehood. You preferring chocolate ice cream vs vanilla ice cream, is not falsehood, it's just a bias of yours. Your own human form is a universal bias, it is this form and you don't want it to be any other form, like being cut in half. So there are degrees of quality to bias. Some are intelligent and with meaning, others are there and we don't know why and others are just wrong understanding, ... -

What is it that you find so despicable about Religion? Or are you disappointed about how Religion is done? Or the current Religious ecosystem? Or the maturity and development of Religious individuals? Or the hijacking of Religion for survival and cultural agendas? -

I love you too See the world is like a pendulum: between progress and regression, between conservative and liberal, between tradition and securalism. This pendulum is constantly dancing in microcycles and macrocycles. Now we are seeing a local regression, I grant you that, but the overall tendency of humanity to evolution is unstopable. Trump if anything will show us the importance of bullet proofing democracy. Religious nationalism will teach us the profound limitations of fundamentalist religion and their injected agenda through idelogical individuals. Conservatives movements in Europe and over the world will put a momentary break on never-ending expansion and progress at all cost, allowing as to breathe and let the dust settle down. Earth, the world and its ecosystem is an extremely complex and self-intelligent organism. It will get through this and balance itself by feedback mechanisms. Don't you worry you can sleep at peace tonight. -

I've been meditating every morning with Vipassana for a month now. I'm surprised by the results. The sensitivity and multidimensionality that brings to my everyday life has been very noticeable. I was eating ice cream yesterday and I had never tasted such a delicious palate of sensations playing in my mouth. Sex has become ten times more enjoyable. Reality is much more still, peaceful and equanimous. My mind is sharp, focused and expansive as the sky. My body feels more and more light, knots are dissolving. Energy in the body is getting unblocked and flowing as it should. I have a meta perspective of thoughts as pure sensations, which grounds me into the consciousness all experience is. The knot of ego, identification, locality and center is gradually melting into the ever-present boundless spacious Infinite Awake Reality. Part of this success I owe it to everyday morning meditation. My brain is being rewired when the first thing I do after waking up properly the body (to avoid sleepiness: jump, massage all areas of my body etc.) is a highly conscious activity. In this way, my whole day carries the perfume of awareness and presence. This insight also led me to start meditating before falling asleep. Ending the day in a high consciousness state and starting the day with a heightened state of awareness has brought a substantial change in my baseline consciousness. I wanted to share these results with you in case you can find value in vipassana or in arranging your routine in this way.

I've had a huge breakthrough regarding my LP. I was thinkikng about it in a very limited, conservative, job-oriented way. I discovered that having a fucking job and working is not something I care about, most honestly. So survival apart, my purpouse for living is not having a job, not for me, I don't care at all. My life would be very different. I would rather be a full time mystic, do my spiritual practice, experiment with cool psychedelics, have a nice home with a great wife and some pets; a peaceful existence. That's something meaningful to me, I don't wanna be teaching spirituality, nor writting books or healing people, I just wanna do my own thing, at home and enjoy myself. That's it. How to get there? Well that's a question for another day. I'll become filthy rich if that's what it takes to live this kinda lifestyle. I'm surprised it's so simple afterall. What I really want is so freaking simple. Self-cultivation and to enjoy Consciousness.

The Sedlec Ossuary is a Roman Catholic chapel, located beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints, part of the former Sedlec Abbey in Sedlec. The ossuary is estimated to contain the skeletons of between 40,000 and 70,000 people, whose bones have, in many cases, been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel. A chandelier of bones, which contains at least one of every bone in the human body, hangs from the center of the nave with garlands of skulls draping the vault. Other works include piers and monstrances flanking the altar, a coat of arms of the House of Schwarzenberg, and the signature of František Rint, also executed in bone. What do you think is the importance of such temples? What role do they serve? This seems to be a common theme across cultures, Varanasi is another great example. Skeletons forcefully remind us of all that we try to forget, deny and repress in our life. The obscure, the grotesque, the spooky, the shadow, the fearful, the pain, the suffering, the impermanence of form. The fact that we will experience death and that all that we hold dear in this world (Family, friends, romantic partner, children, home, possessions, unfulfilled dreams and goals, legacy, memories, knowledge and skills, identity, prestige, sense of self, responsibilities, health, beliefs, body and mind...) EVERYTHING will vanish with our last outbreath. Death is a compulsory experience. Better get ready

One of the best things I've read in the forum so far. What a punch line!

Extremely practical for cleansing the body mind and energetic field. You ain't gonna get all the delicious consciousness without profound inner purification and katharsis. Such inner healing translates very well into everyday life. An example, I had lots of trauma stored in the hips and stomach. My situation has improved dramatically thanks uniquely to 5meo. Sometimes you just gotta cry like a baby for minutes and minutes. 5meo can make that to happen. Crying feels so good honestly, even more from a high state of consciousness. Such a relief!

I know, just wanted to make sure there were no collateral damages. Otherwise the Actualized.org Grammar Gestapo gonna be relentless.

I always check when I can. In fact I'm very grateful for Actualized.org as it has been a great source of motivation to improve my writings. It helped me in putting down complex thoughts in a cohesive and structured way. This Sunday I have my C2 English exam by Cambridge. Hope to ace it

@Leo Gura Lack of capitalization is more universal. Punctuation it depends, it can be clearly seen when it's due to laziness. However, I was surprised when learning that Italian rarely uses commas for guiding the flow of the sentence as it is expected from the reader to have the skills to decipher it. So I used to write tons of commas and took me quite some time to learn the Italian punctuation style. It's the same with English, it has its own rules of punctuation that differ from other languages quite a lot. This is just to stay that mods should distinguish sloppy writing from cultural gaps. Btw Leo, have you read the culture map book? I think you may enjoy it
-
Be mindful that English is not the main language for many and punctuation rules vary greatly among countries. Having said this, I recognise the need for certain quality standards in writing and I support the measure as long as it is proportionate.
